“Stubhub claims to have a really good refund policy, until you actually need a refund. The concert I purchased tickets for, got cancelled. Stubhub jumps through hoops, doesn't answer, and makes you send documentation they don't even care about - for no reason. I was out the concert and the money. So much for their great policy. I will never buy from Stubhub again.”
“Terrible company with a very poor return without lack of compatibility with the information, they give you information and believe that it is the most truthful and correct thing to do. I had a sale made and they charged exorbitant amounts, claiming that I had made two sales when I only received one and they still wanted to debit an incredulous amount from my account, so a very bad experience with this company. I do not recommend it to anyone.”
“Went on Stub Hub for very over priced tickets for the Rodeo. That is fine wanted the tickets and that part went well. My issue is it pulled up the closest parking for almost $50.00 and asked did I want to buy parking so I paid. Then we get there and the parking we paid for is almost 5 miles from the event! Yeah sure, who is walking 5 miles in the Texas heat? We parked on the SAME BLOCK as the event for $10.00 . Called Stub Hub there response was too bad. WE are only the middleman we can not help so no refund. I will dispute my charge for the $50 parking we did not use.”
“Sold a parking pass that was 10 miles away from the venue. When contacted they would not issue a refund or offer any assistance because it was the day after the event.”
“I purchased a ticket thru Stubhub on May 10 for an event on June 28. The venue was a place I've never visited. When I arrived to the venue on June 28, I was greeted by a guy in the parking lot. He asked me if I pre paid for my parking. I replied that I wasn't aware I needed to. I purchased my ticket on my stubhub account and it did not say anything about prepaid parking. So he explained to me that the entire lot has been reserved and I will have park approximately 2-3 blocks away on a college campus. I didn't know anything at all about this college campus. So I was not leaving my vehicle there for 2-3 hrs while I attend the show. Also, we were currently in the middle of a thunderstorm, with bad lightning and heavy downpours. A house was struck by lightning that night from those storms. I spoke with stubhub and explained my experience, and they are not willing to work with me. They neglected to mention that parking must be paid in advance at this venue , and they aren't willing to work with me at all to keep me as a loyal customer. To me, this is just bad business practice and customer service. I won't be purchasing thru stubhub in the future.”
“On the way to the event, we were notified our tickets were no longer available. They offered us other tickets which were not comparable to what we had and not even seats that would be together. I told the Stubhub agent on the phone that we did not want the replacement tickets and wanted a full refund. After paying $268.20 for the original tickets, I received a $30 refund and was told I would be getting nothing else.”
“On the day of my concert, StubHub moved my ticket delivery time from 17:30 to 20:30 (the actual concert start time, even though the doors were open at 18:30), breaking your promise of delivery at least 3 hours before the event. This caused unnecessary stress and forced me to spend time and money calling US customer support, ultimately receiving tickets only 1.5 hours before the show. Prioritising seller convenience over buyer protection is unacceptable when customers rely on your delivery guarantees.”
“NEVER USING STUBHUB AGAIN - I am very sorry that I used StubHub. 1st time for me. Overpaid on the game tickets and more importantly, overpaid for parking pass on a parking lot at a Rockies game that is hard to find or is non-existent. I did get confirmation that I bought a pass but didn't get the address until 2 days AFTER the game was over. I paid $18 for a close spot day of game as compared to $47 for a parking lot that may or may not exist. SH declined refund even though I did not get the info until 2 days post game. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND RUN AWAY”
“We purchased tickets to an event in Nashville and never received them so we had to purchase another set of tickets (went through Ticketmaster and got them immediately). Stubhub refuses to investigate and refund us.”
“This is the second time, I will not buy from them again. I can’t attend the event can’t sale tickets or transfer tickets cause they won’t deliver until 2 hours from event time. They want you to resale through them so they can add more fees for next buyer.”
“I wish I could give 0 stars event is tomorrow and I have been fighting with them for 7 months about not receiving my ticket! I will never use them again!!”
“Someone hacked my account and bought a bunch of tickets for games . Stubhub wouldn't do anything about it and pretty much called me a liar and said they were my tickets. They bought 1350$ worth.”
“StubHub would not allow me to sell my tickets. Their site said that I purchased my tickets through a 3rd party even though I didn’t. They wouldn’t let me sell the tickets through them without selecting a 3rd party, not StubHub. I have purchased many event tickets through them in the past but I will definitely not be using them again. $700 is too much to lose!”
“Never got the tickets we paid $700 for. Ruined our evening at the least - and we weren’t the only ones. At least three other couples at our show did not get their tickets, purchased thru StubHub. So basically, what went wrong was - we used StubHub. Never again.”
“NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM STUBHUB!!! I ordered tickets and didn't need them. They do not cancel orders even if you just placed it 2minutes prior. I politely say, It took me months to get an English speaking individual who truly understood the simple need to resell them.
I felt rushed buying the tickets as they had a count down timer...overall experience Was AWEFUL!!!! Nice customer service, but they only know 3 answers.”
“I listed my tickets on StubHub last night and they sold pretty quickly, I transferred the tickets over on AXS as soon as I got the buyers details. Then a few hours later I received an email saying they’ve sold again to a different buyer so I cancelled this as I only had the one pair of tickets. I spoke to ai chatbot and they said not to worry and someone will be in touch. I then had an email today saying I hadn’t contacted them and I have been charged £200. I called them as soon as I saw this email and they apologised said they would look into it and get back to me. I’ve just had an email saying that apparently I listed the tickets twice a few hours apart so I still have to pay a £200 penalty. 1. Why would I make a new listing for tickets I have already sold through them? 2. I don’t even get £200 from the original sale so I will be at a loss as I sold the tickets for a lot lower than face value as a change in circumstances means I cannot afford to keep them and attend. This now means I won’t get the original money and I won’t be able to afford food or bills the next few weeks.”
“StubHub lets sellers misrepresent their tickets, list them in the same section as "best available" and then will not refund your money when they arrive and are in a completely different section. They are using bait-and-switch methods and then if you contact customer service, they are argumentative, refuse to connect you to a supervisor, and then put you on hold repeatedly until you finally give up and hang up the call. I sent over the documentation (including a screen shot) of how the tickets were listed on the site, and were still told that it was my error and nothing that they could do for me. I understand now why so many people are filing lawsuits against them and why they have over 4,000 complaints to the BBB in the last 12 months. They are deceptive and standing firmly being loopholes to rip off customers.”
