“I purchased tickets off ticket master and StubHub got involved. I have been trying to contact you to cancel or sell or something to the tickets and nothing. Maria told me I should research as I am new to the area and didn't know it was an outdoor show. Well shame on StubHub for not standing by the buyer. Buyers remorse.”
“I purchased Tickets in January for my wife's birthday to go see Post Malone. She has always wanted to see him. The concert is May 18th. I claimed my tickets and put them in my Google wallet on January 9th. April came and I took a look at the tickets and the status on the tickets had changed to "Invalid" "Free to transfer". I logged into my Stubhub account and it said my order had been canceled. I contacted Stubhub and they had told me to get ahold of Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster the "3rd party vendor" told me to get back in touch with Stubhub as they made the sale and it is covered by their warranty. Stubhub said my claim had been put in an "elevated" status and I was covered by the warranty. Why didn't they say that in the first place? They told me an email would be sent 1 to 3 hours before the event giving me the option of selecting comparable tickets or getting a refund. Really? 1 to 3 hours before the event? All the comparable tickets will have been sold off and only the cheap seat tickets would be left. Nice way to rip people off of their hard earned money. If I dont get the email I will continue to pursue this. This customer service is terrible! How does a ticket status just change and an order get canceled. I spent $1100.00 on these tickets, 6 calls, spending about 5 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved to no avail. It's now May 17th and I just called for the 6th time getting the same explanation. I hope this review comes across one of the artists screens and someone has a concious to hold these vendors accountable. Reading through some of the other reviews on Google I'm not the only one who has went through this. It's not fair and it's not right. I bought these tickets as a gift to make my wife smile and it has been a nightmare. I will not be doing this again. It's been a month of being stressed out, wasting time on the phone, seeing my wife disappointed and wondering if I am getting ripped off.
Today is May 18th the day of the event. 3 hours before the concert they emailed me saying they had the tickets. The exact tickets I had purchased on
January 9th! I have no childcare for our kids, no arrangements for parking and no US currency. I wasn't going to get these things until I knew i was actually going to go to the concert. Stubhub gave me a few hours notice with the exact tickets I had purchased 5 months prior. Why I couldn't be given the tickets I paid for January 9th in the past month is utter stupidity. This system is flawed and broken. I contacted them April 20th th about this and instead they wait till a few hours before the concert to give me my tickets. Now I will be out the money and my wife's gift. I will never be using this service again. As a family man I have been put in a situation with no good outcome. Words cannot express my anger but I hope it serves as a warning to others.”
“Why can’t I see the seat map when I choose my expensive seats? Today I paid for seats in a good section, but right on the aisle where it was CONSTANT vendors and people coming and going. Blocking the view of home plate!! Used to be able to choose your seat from a map. I would NEVER have chosen these! Would have stayed home. When did this change, StubHub? Made for a terrible and expensive time out with my family. :(”
“Luck of the draw. First time purchasing tickets, and they never arrived. I have requested a refund, hoping it will happen. After reading other reviews, I will NEVER use StubHub again.”
“Be careful! Upon purchasing tickets to Shakira's concert, Stubhub offered us a parking ticket so we bought it. It turns out the ticket was for a parking spot in BROOKLYN while the concert is in NJ. A hour away by car. I called Stubhub, they said yes sure we will refund you, send us so and so by email. It took multiple emails and various screenshots, to tell me in the end, it is your fault the address of the parking lot was on the ticket (they literally asked me if I wanted a parking ticket when I bought my concert ticket). This is absolute fraud, and totally tricking their customers. Never again!”
“Tickets were supposed to arrive by 4pm when concert starts at 7pm. I paid $420.16 total for 2 tickets to be close to the stage in a seated section. I live far and was already at the venue when tickets did not arrive. Was given 2 worse replacement tickets valued at $69 on the lawn waaay back from original seating. I would have been happy if I was paid back the difference and given the 2 new tickets but no they basically gave me very over priced tickets and because of the inconvenience missed half the show. I don't recommend them at all. Talking to other people that purchased before from stubhub they have the same issue. I want a full refund that they don't want to give me at this point.”
“We’ve been stuck, trying to get our tickets for two hours without success. The customer service of the event could not replace them because we purchase them “via a third-party”. The tickets just wouldn’t work at the entrance.
We then had to go back and text the customer service, which indicated us that we wouldn’t get new tickets but they could issue a refund.
Afterwards, the day after they asked us to pick up new 3 days tickets but there was only 2 days left.”
“We bought tickets to a Cubs game - section 122, aisle seats, good price. The day of the event the seller could not deliver the tickets and offered us worse seats for the same price. We asked for a refund. We got a partial refund for the tickets minus the fees. A month later we're still waiting for the remaining refund. Last time we'll buy on stubhub. Clearly they are encouraging scammers. Many other ticket options”
“Purchased tickets for cubs game. Good experience. But saw an option to purchase parking once the ticket sale was complete. Clicked on buy parking expecting to see a variety of options and prices. Instead I got a message that said "you have tickets". Then I saw I purchased 1 parking ticket for $100.00 Camry lot. Called to complain about deceitful and unfair process. Rep told me they were sorry but NO REFUNDS. Said I needed to list them for resale. So now I have another task to compensate for their dishonesty. BUYER BEWARE.”
“Charged for tickets I didn’t receive and were never in my account. I received notification the day of the event which was out of state, so it was impossible for me to attend. The support team was useless. I will no longer be buying from this company as there are better and more secure options. The support team claims all sales are final which is a normal policy, but it’s a little difficult to attend an event when you never received tickets. I will continue to support other ticketing companies where this has never been an issue.”
“Horrible. Purchased premium parking pass and was given general. They would not give a refund and hung up the phone. Wish there was an option to give a zero.”
“Bought orchestra section tickets. Then got an email saying the tickets were not not available but they were giving me an upgrade. The upgrade was tickets in the back mezzanine! What a joke and a bait and switch. Called and they said prove we gave you worse tickets. Asked for a refund and they said no, you are going to get tickets. Last time, they gave me the wrong day for the show.”
“I bought tickets online for a baseball game and then immediately after they cancelled the tickets. I had to repurchase them and the. it prompted me to buy a parking pass and the system glitched and said I bought a parking pass right after. I called immediately for assistance and the customer service was terrible. I’m not buying anymore tickets from this company.”
“Disappointing Experience with Misleading Parking Pass
I recently used StubHub to purchase tickets for a Jeff Dunham show. After buying the tickets, I was prompted to purchase a parking pass. Since I wasn’t familiar with the area around the arena, I bought the pass for $56 (including fees), thinking it would make our experience smoother.
However, when we arrived, we discovered that the parking lot was 3 MILES away from the venue—a ridiculous distance with no shuttle, bus, or trolley service. This forced us to find another parking option closer to the event so we could actually attend.
I immediately contacted StubHub for a refund, explaining that the parking location was completely impractical for attending the show. Unfortunately, since I called after the event, StubHub refused to issue a refund, stating they are just a third-party service.
I feel completely misled by their platform. There was no clear warning that the parking was miles away, and without knowing the area, I trusted StubHub’s recommendation. A $56 parking pass that is miles away from the venue is unacceptable.
I would strongly caution others against purchasing parking through StubHub without first confirming the actual location. This experience left me frustrated and disappointed.”
“Of course there were the hidden fees, but the shocker was the parking pass they sold us was for a lot SEVEN miles away AND you had to cross interstates with construction to walk to the venue. Stubhub said we should have checked where the parking lot was when purchasing from them. We are from out of state and haven't ever had to check if the parking lot is SEVEN miles away before. Do NOT use Stubhub!”
“Stubhub listed a ticket as 'best' buy, provided a misleading and grossly inaccurate picture and didn't reveal the seat numbers. After purchasing the ticket, I discovered that the view was obstructed and limited. I called customer support and filed a complaint, they did not get back to me so I called again, and disappointedly indicated that there was nothing they can do. The pair of tickets cost me north of $1000 for a playoff Leafs vs Panthers game for my daughter's birthday. Stubhub had no sympathy for this situation. I will never use stubhub again.”
