“I had a very bad experience buying on this website. I hit back to look for a better seats and the transaction went through. They charged me 800 dollars without my authorization and they don’t want to refund me. So I have to assume the cost of the errors of their website.”
“I Won My Claim !!! For those who are treated horribly like I was using Stubhub do not give up !! You must file a claim but you need to back your claim up with proof through emails. Stubhub will lie by giving emails of what they consider proof to get the banks to show favor to them, not you. In my case I didn't get my event tickets but they did send "parking tickets". They submitted parking tickets as proof they sent me tickets. Thankfully I stayed on top of this and I explained to my bank that those tickets are not event tickets. I won ! I WON! And let me tell you it was not easy. Stay focused , stay calm, and show proof for your claim people. Stubhubs reviews are absolutely horrible.”
“I paid a ton of money for front row seats and when I got my tickets they were in the middle of the theater. Seats that you could buy for a couple hundred I paid almost 1500 for. I contacted stubb hub and they assured me they would take care of it and had months and didn’t do anything. I disputed the charge and they lied so it got reversed. They are scammers. Don’t buy from this company.”
“I SOLD A TICKET AND STUB HUB NEVER PAID ME. I PROVIDED PROOF OF TRANSFER. I WAS TOLD FOR 4 MONTHS AND ABOUT 10 PHONE CALLS INTO CUSTOMER SERVICE IT WOULD BE PAID AND TODAY WAS TOLD IT WILL NOT BE PAID. THEY STOLE MY TICKET BECAUSE THE BUYER WAS GIVEN A TICKET THE DAY OF THE EVENT.”
“We had tickets to see Metallica at Lane Stadium, Virginia Tech. The ticket process was okay but the fees you can’t avoid at ridiculous. We also purchased parking passes from them. Parking opened at 1:30. We got our parking passes at 3:30. Terrible service on that and NO communication regarding the lateness of our parking passes.”
“I purchased a ticket the morning of the show. Here it is 15 minutes before the show & I still don't have a ticket. I'm currently on hold with customer service. A refund takes 8 days & they're not offering me any other ticket”
“Bought The Eagles show at The Sphere in Vegas. Traveled approximately 2000 miles to see show. Accepted my mobile tickets on line to find out at the gate someone else was in my seats. Missed first 20 minutes of show while on the phone with stub Hub trying to get resolved. Finally was offered a refund or replacements which I accepted. They offered a $2.00 compensation which I found insulting. Sent email when i returned home to VP of Operations who delegated a response which was simply "we are only a platform". The best they would do is $25 compensation. Will never use Stub Hub again. They took no accountability .”
“I bought tickets off of StubHub for a Yankee game at Yankee Stadium. The listing did not say that there was an obstructed view. However, when we arrived to the game, there was a concrete wall going in front of us so that we had to stand to see the outfield. The seller never listed this in the description of the tickets. When I contacted StubHub, they told me that since I attended the event, they couldn’t do anything for me. They would not even guarantee that they would contact the seller to make sure that the listing for future games was accurate. Terrible customer service.”
“When I purchased this parking spot, I was led to believe that it was close to the Savannah Bananas Baseball Stadium. However, it was 4 miles away. My wife is handicapped and cannot walk 4 miles. Therefore, when we realized how far it was from where we needed to be, we left. We were probably only in the parking garage about 15 minutes. Not satisfied at all with Stubhub’s parking recommendations for this event.”
“The game in Atlanta was rain delayed for three hours. It was raining and cold so we went back to the hotel. We learned the next day the game was played at 10:30 p.m and ended at 1:30. StubHub said we were not eligible for a refund since the game was played. Apparently, we were expected to sit in a cold, rainy stadium for three hours, waiting for the game to start. After spending $431 on tickets plus hotel, we saw no baseball. Not a good experience. All StubHub could say was, "we are sorry." Order No. 556605384”
“Stubhub sent me an email for advance parking for the Fontaines D.C. concert in Atlanta. The problem is when I arrived it was ridiculously far from the event, actually the GPS said twenty seven minute walk to the venue and not in a great neighborhood.
So I had to buy parking closer to the event for $35.
Why on earth would you sell parking to a garage that is a mile or so away from the event?”
“I bought tickets to a Nationals baseball game about 4-5 days before the game. I checked the app for the tickets and they were there. We show up day of and the tickets aren't in my wallet. I call customer service and after 30 minutes, he sends me an email to take to the ticket counter.
At the counter, the ticket rep (who I think was a manager) says, "Oh, I know these tickets. They were bought with a stolen credit card. we told Stubhub that this morning."
I called the next morning and the agent told me that it would take 3-5 days to investigate. Off handed, I mentioned we took photos of the bad tickets and I could email them. She took me up on the offer and once I sent them, the refnd was processed right away.
It felt like by having my own proof, I forced their hand. It seems to me, like she would have had the same information. Further, StubHub should have let me know that morning that the tickets were bad so we didn't have to travel in to and out of the city.”
“I have found Stub Hub difficult to use. Bought a parking pass for an event and was able to retrieve the receipt but not able to retrieve the pass itself. Spent over an hour searching my profile and chatting with a rep. who was also not able to resolve the issue. Of course there is no refund available. Good thing I started this process 10 days before the event. Hopefully in that time they can resolve the problem. Won't use them again.”
“Parking pass is a total joke! They make you feel like the parking is close by to the venue, but it turns out it’s miles away! We never parked so we lost the money and it couldn’t be refunded! I’ll never ever buy a parking pass again! A complete racket, but I have a feeling that’s the objective!”
“Stubhub is the worst!
Horrible experience buying tickets with them. Will never buy here again.
They sell fake tickets and when you ask for a refund they only refund half of it.
Do yourself a favor. DONT BUY TICKETS HERE”
“DO NOT USE THIS TICKET VENDOR! They lie and charge you even when original seller will not fulfill the order. I am in a dispute currently and the experience has been awful to put it nicely. Charged $1400 to my credit card and I never even got to go to the event! INFURIATING”
“Absolutely Horrible Experience – Stay Away!
We had the worst experience with StubHub and will never use them again. We purchased tickets totaling $1,700 on May 1st for an event on May 4th. By May 2nd, we couldn’t access our tickets and immediately began reaching out to customer service. What followed was an infuriating, multi-day runaround with zero accountability or real help.
On May 3rd, we spent hours on the phone with multiple representatives. We were told several times that someone would call us back — no one ever did. One person told us it was an “internal issue” and that we’d be contacted by 3 PM. That didn’t happen. At 3:30, we called again, spoke with a manager, and were told the issue was still unresolved. We were told we’d hear back by 7 PM — nothing.
Called again at 7:30 PM, and suddenly the deadline changed to 7 PM Pacific Time (not what we were told before). Called again at 10 PM our time (7 PT), and now the deadline was “one hour before the event.” It was clear they were making excuses and moving the goalposts.
We spent a total of 6-7 hours on the phone, being transferred, placed on hold, and hung up on. All the while, they kept referring to a mysterious “technical department” that apparently no one could contact, despite the issue supposedly being escalated for nearly 48 hours.
Finally, on the morning of the event, we called again. Still no tickets. Only after demanding to cancel did they “magically” offer us an “upgrade.” The replacement tickets were not an upgrade at all — they were in a worse section and were selling for almost half the price of what we originally paid. StubHub refused to refund the difference or offer alternative options.
They are deceptive, unhelpful, and fail to protect buyers as they claim. Their so-called “FanProtect Guarantee” is worthless. Our weekend was ruined, and we were left feeling taken advantage of.
Do not trust StubHub — worst customer service we’ve ever encountered.”
“I bought tickets to ac/dc over a month ago. as soon as I received them I noticed that they were not together as promised. I contacted customer service who forced me to return the tickets in order to get the same or better. Here I am just days before the concert and still haven't received any replacement tickets. Called several times to no avail. Not sure if I'll be able to get a hotel room in that area at this point if I do receive the tickets. Very bad customer service, unreliable company in general. Definitely wouldn't recommend”
“Stubhub is a scam. I will NEVER use them ever again. I purchased tickets for an event last September and when I arrived the ticket agent informed me that my tickets had been scanned and hour prior to my arrival. I have contacted Stubhub several times and I still have not heard from a real person nor have I received a full refund. This is the worst place to purchase tickets. I DO NOT recommend ever purchasing tickets from them if you don't want to be humiliated.”
“I had concert tickets at a stadium venue. They also advertises parking for the venue. I went ahead and selected a parking location on Stub hub. Price seemed reasonable enough. Turned out the time allowed for parking was shorter than the length of the concert. Then it took almost an hour to get out of the parking garage. I ended up paying 60% more than the advertised price based on going over on my allotted parking time. All I did was left the concert and walked straight to my car. If stub hub is selling parking spots for their own concerts they should make sure they make the time long enough to stay until the end of the concert, walk to your car and exit the garage. Seems a little shady and dishonest to advertise one price knowing it isn’t enough time for the event. Bad form Stub Hub and I won’t be using them again.”
