“I bought expensive tickets on StubHub thinking I was safe because of their so-called “FanProtect Guarantee.” Turns out that guarantee means nothing. They waited until the day before the event to tell me the tickets I paid for were “no longer available.” Their only options: a refund or “comparable” tickets — which turned out to be much worse seats for the same price.
When I complained, StubHub tried to shift the blame to the seller, saying they’re just a marketplace. But if StubHub runs the platform, handles the money, and promises protection, then they’re responsible for ensuring the transaction is legitimate. Otherwise, what’s the point of using them?
This experience was a complete disaster and ruined the event for me. StubHub needs to stop hiding behind sellers and start taking accountability. I’ll never use them again — and I’d warn anyone else to stay far away.”
“Please DO NOT order tickets from StubHub. Went to venue for concert, security had difficulty scanning tickets. Was told to contact StubHub for barcode, while trying to rectify issue missed almost hour of show. Once issue corrected, once there was seating change. While trying to enjoy what's left of show, security from venue asked to see tickets, now I am being told my family and I must stand for the rest of the show because my tickets have letter S for Standing Only. StubHub do not compensate innocent customers for their bad practices”
“Just spoke with a customer service rep who was brutally rude. This is not an exaggeration... You know the drunk guy loitering out on the streets who's acting belligerent and rude to everyone passing him by? That's exactly how this customer service rep was talking and acting. I feel like I dodged a bullet by not purchasing from them.”
“Can I give them 0 stars!! They had a system glitch and still charged me 500 dollars. Will NOT refund me and kept repeating the same thing over and over again. “Had a horrible experience. Downloaded five tickets for Nikki Glaser in Atlanta for October 3. Downloaded five tickets and they only paid me for two and I did everything I was told and I keep contacting customer service and none of them understand English and they keep telling me they’re gonna take care of it and nothing happens. Please beware -do not use them. Ticketmaster is a much better option.”
“Was on holiday in New York, purchased tickets at least a month before for Knicks v Chicago Bulls game at MSG, spent over £100 on them, then the day of the game couldn't receive the tickets, contacted stubhub and they still couldn't help, found it very difficult to get any human contact, once I did they still couldn't help me, so ended up with no ticket. Eventually gave up. Next day enquire about a refund and was told that there was a telephone number I could have phoned the day before, but i couldn't see it anywhere on the site at the time and still can't. Very poor service this time around , and will definitely think twice about using them in the future. Like I say very difficult to get human contact in the event of a problem. Ruined a big part of my holiday!”
“The parking garage that we got from Stub Hub was a long distance to walk. There were 2 parking garages next to the event. For my next venue I ordered directly through the event center. Never again will you receive my business.”
“We got there early for parking and they didn't accept our pass. Told to call for refund. I had to pay an extra $20 to park in garage. I believe I called Sunday or Monday for refund and I received message saying I was to call 2hr before event.”
“The worst experience.
I was chatting with an agent who assured me my ticket would arrive because it was about an hour before the show start time and I hadn't received it yet.
Well the ticket never came. I have since been refunded. However, I drove all the way to the arena because the agent assured me I would have the ticket. Even if it's 1 minute before the show. But the ticket never came. So I missed the show. These screen shots are a conversation I had with their agent. They don’t care whatsoever and are blatantly rude.”
“My tickets would not transfer. I spent 3 hours troubleshooting with customer service. They kept saying that there was nothing more they could do because they were just a third party. I tried everything they asked never got my tickets. I went to another vendor, bought tickets, transferred with the same process and received my tickets. I have bought thousands of dollars of tickets from Stubhub, but this will be my last. Can't believe they take no responsibility when they take people's money.”
“Bought tickets July 27th for a concert on October 19th. Stub hub showed that tickets would be released at 4pm on the 19th. Day of show 3 hours before show started. Checked at 4 then again at 430. No tickets. Had to text with auto bot many times before getting a human. After 6 different times of having to text with auto bot then a human. Finally got a person to call me and finally at 710pm I was able to get different tickets than what I originally purchased. Had to go through all this while working. Extremely frustrating especially since I purchased the tickets 3 months in advance. For all my trouble I was sent a $15 coupon for another purchase. Not sure that I feel comfortable ever buying thru Stubhub ever again. I will say the person that finally called me and handled it did a great job. Other than that it was an awful experience!!!”
“Stubhub is a terrible heartless greedy corporate monstrosity. I could not transfer one of the tickets I purchased to the Yankees playoffs to my friend so I had to eat the ticket. They would not refund me the price of the ticket amd fought my credit card when I initiated a dispute. Please, for the love of God, do not use Stubhub.”
“I had bought tickets for Mat Mathews through Stubhub and one of my tickets was scalped. I've been trying to get my money back from them since they say they are fan protected. Which is bs. They have gave me the run around for 4 days now and I'm reporting them to the BBB. I will never buy from them again. I went to look on my account this morning and why was 2 now tickets bought for an event that I did not buy. So I had to unlink my credit card that was on file. Smh do better Stubhub. I still have not received my refund. In the picture the one shows I was going to the 8pm show. Go to show downloaded it and it's for the 5pm show and they scanned it and that ticket had already been used.”
“I bought floor tickets for me and my wife from StubHub and waited outside the building and my tickets never came. StubHub attempted to give me other tickets which was way away from the floor seats like I purchased. It was very embarrassing to wait in front and never get in and because it was so last minute. I couldn’t even get any good seats to see the ring ceremony. We paid for parking tickets through stub hub they wouldn’t refund parking.”
“PURCHASING THE TICKETS WAS PRETTY EASY. IT WAS THE PARKING PASS THAT I PAID AND ADDITONAL 41 DOLLARS TO PARK IN THE GARAGE DID NOT GET ACCURATE DIRECTIONS TO THE GARAGE. SO ENDED UP PAYING TO PARK ON THE STREET. CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WERE RUDE AND REFUSED ME A REFUND. I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING THROUGH THE STUBHUB APP NO LONGER”
