Worst car insurence. Was waiting on the phone for over an hour and they took money from my account only to cancel my insurence the day after they took the money. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you want to be old and grey by the time you’ve actually spoken to a human.

so they rang me back today I have to pay what was originally 168.00 to 88.00 to 91.00 to 88.33, this company needs stopping ripping people off, iv sent all my details to Watchdog and think more people should do the same, they need naming and shaming

Hello Tracy I’m sorry to read that you are unhappy. When a policy is purchased, it is a 12 month policy. If a policy is cancelled before the end of a 12 month term, charges are made to cover the costs of administrating the policy as per the terms and conditions that are given before the policy is purchased. Be careful with these people. We were tempted into A Choice via confused.com, via market beating quote on provisional learner driver insurance. - Their website is a complete nightmare....you need to verify all the confused.com data and then it kept getting things wrong with no ability to edit correctly. I tried four time over 2 hours. - at the end of this, no facility to pay online. Had to speak to phone consultant, and basically repeated the whole process. - it then turned out the market leading price is just a carrot to tempt you into to a longer policy (ie for when the driver passes the test and is no longer provisional driver). When I said I didn't want any of those options, and that I would shop around after the test was passed, they stopped the conversation and cancelled the application. - so basically the price on confused.com is theoretical. - huge waste of time. - we went with Marmalade in the end

Worst company to get insurance with on my current car paid £1200 for Insurance got a new car done a quote online through compare the market they quoted me £1800 with a choice! So I rang them up and after 40 minutes on hold finally answered and was told that quote didn’t exist and they wouldn’t swap my car to my new one so I had to take out a whole new policy with a different company I also lost my no claims bonus! Stay well away from this scamming company!

If I could give a minus I would. Nothing but absolute bother. Cancelled my insurance and are trying to charge me cancellation charge and retained commission. Just money scamming scum!

Terrible company!! Cancelled my car insurance on me after 4 months. Now awaiting the refund of the remaining months what will take 30 DAYS!! After a number of cencelton fees, admin fees etc. Terrible company, would strongly recommend to avoid A Choice!!!

Nightmare of a company. I've been driving for 5 years this year and I have never dealt with a more rude, scamming and demanding company. The countless documentation emails I've been sent after sending them off and speaking to a rep on the phone to confirm this I just received a letter saying my policy will be cancelled as the right documentation hasn't been sent. Along with the charges of £300+ I will never use this company again!

I wish I'd read these posts earlier. Very similar experience. Original insurance went on for 45 minutes on the phone and was very invasive. I genuinely felt and still feel as though they will try anything to not settle a claim! I obviously have no evidence of this and hope I never need to claim as the application process was bad enough. Then to make matters worse, and because we paid for my daughters insurance by monthly direct debits to help her out, we had to go through another series of emails and applications and get forms sent back, which is fine in principle however it turned out that I forgot to date the first one and it was returned (again fair enough) but its easy to miss an email. Anyway I dated the form and sent it back and even sent further emails to check everything was OK but heard nothing back. the out of the blue some weeks later I get a letter telling me that the insurance has been cancelled with immediate effect! No phone call. Nothing. So I call them up and wait the obligatory 20 minutes to speak to someone and it turns out that the form I sent was apparently illegible - despite the fact that it was their form. My daughter uses the car every day so I had no option but to try to renew but imagine my surprise when I;m told that this is not possible. No. I need to re-apply, so some hours later I get a new cover but am told that this one will cost me about £10 month more!! I had no choice but was / am very unhappy ...... but it gets worse. I then get the loan paperwork through some days later, (from Close Brothers) only to find that they have put it all in my daughters name even though the payments are coming out of my account! And because its in my daughters name they are unable to discuss it with me ....IT'S MY BANK ACCOUNT!! My daughter is 17 and I'm not sure the loan is even legal or enforceable which I mentioned to them but to no avail. I know their insurance quotes are quite low but never again!! I will gladly pay a little more and get an acceptable level of customer service. Disgraceful.

got a new car 400cc lower than my old mariva they quoted me deposit of 69.44 and 11 monthly payments of 47.00 robbing its, 10.00 more a month, then I said I would leave so they added (DICK TURPIN SPRINGS TO MIND) I would have to pay 168.66 for leaving, il never use these highway men again. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Rubbish company, rubbish customer service, and they keep you hold hold for 20 minutes at least each time u try to ring. They cancelled my policy themselves and charged me around £170 for the 5/6 days they gave me insurance. Joke. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

If the policy is cancelled before the end of the 12 month term, charges are made to cover the cost incurred to A Choice Insurance. Our fees are explained before the policy is purchased. If I could give NO star I would. Do not touch this company!!!! Out of all of my 25 years of driving (clean by the way) I have never come across an insurance company like this one. Total rip off, rude and unprofessional. Will not be using them again.

Probably the worst insurance group I have used. Customer service is a joke, ridiculous waiting time on phones & emails. Waited for over 2 weeks for an email back but whilst waiting for a reply they have the cheek to send me multiple emails stating I had uploaded the wrong documents. Also sent me an email which was not even for me, stating a name & their insurance premium amendments. Shocking company. Will not be using again

Sent documents by post , apparently to the wrong address? , Scanned all required documents and received a text saying they need my documents to maintain cover and spent 30 mins on the phone trying to speak to someone , joke of a company

Robbing gits that's what's wrong! I had enough trouble when I insured my Hyundai 130i last September saying they were cancelling my insurance having not received the correct docs which they had. Finally sorted that and now 6 months later I buy a Peugeot 2008. I ring today to change the car details, I expected an admin fee but nearly fell through the floor when they wanted charge me £200. Saying the Peugeot is a much bigger car, idiots it's no different in spec or size to the i30 estate. Went on comparison site and can get the car insured for 12 months for £260. Bye bye A Choice, I'll be to ringing tomorrow to cancel my insurance and never again! Lost a good customer through your utter greed!

absolute joke of a business. took money out of my bank account after I didn't renew my policy. £188 and refunded me £19 back.... you spend at least 30mins waiting to get through to anyone on the phone. after a years no claims with achoice they tried to drop my next years insurance by 3 pound....... SCAMMERS. DO NOT USE A CHOICE.

Scammers Scammers Scammers ..Steal money from everyone ...Been told my policy should be 220 and now took 265 without any reason ..Call them and they told me u have changed your car thats why ..but when i was going to insure my new car been told my monthley payment will be same only they will charge me broker fee £45 and i payed same time . i will never recomend anyone to use this fraud company thanks

Asked me to provide documents, emailed to say 1 of my documents does not exist as I stated a no No-Claims. Tried calling days on end and never got through. After submitting what I had par the No Claims I got a letter saying my insurance had been cancelled. Avoid at all costs

A cyclist road into my daughter last July all was ok with rider and driver so I reported it even though no details or names were exchanged as no claims were going to be made now they won't give me my no claims or even a new quote been promised a call back every time I ring but they never do have since been told they git no right to keep them as no claims has been made they absolutely lie to u or ignore u so avoid these brokers

Insurance setup was as difficult as they could possibly make it, demanding document after document, lack of communication then threatening to cancel policy. Everytime I call (So far I have called 6 times, I sit on hold for over 20 minutes then give up). Never receive response to any of the 15 emails I have sent. Then to receive more 'documents missing' notifications, then when I call to complain they ignore me. Never trust this company. Would never use again!
