I would strongly advise caution when ordering from Adexa. I placed an order with a promised delivery timeframe of 3–5 working days. However, the item arrived 10 working days later, causing significant disruption to my business operations. On day 5, after it was clear the item wouldn’t arrive within the stated timeframe, I contacted Adexa to cancel the order. They refused, citing dispatch was imminent—even though it didn’t actually ship for several more days. To make matters worse, now that I no longer need the item due to their failure to meet the agreed delivery window, they’re insisting on a 25% restocking fee for a return. This is not only unreasonable but entirely unfair given the delay was completely their fault. Their customer service was unhelpful and rigid throughout the process. A company that cannot deliver on its promises or take responsibility for its own delays is not one I will be using again.

I purchased a dough mixer from Adexa, and within two weeks it stopped working. Despite their claim that the machine can handle 6 kg of flour, it struggled to mix even 2–3 kg properly. I contacted Adexa immediately and explained the situation in detail. Their response was beyond unacceptable. They refused any return or replacement, and instead asked me to hire an engineer at my own expense to prepare a fault report. Only after that would they consider approving a spare part request. This is a shocking and irresponsible way to treat paying customers. The product was brand new and fully paid for, yet Adexa takes no responsibility. Their after-sales support is nonexistent. This experience has cost me both time and money. If you’re a business owner who values reliability and professionalism, stay away from Adexa. This has been one of the worst purchasing experiences I’ve had with any supplier in the UK.

What a bunch of crooks!! Their website is misleading so I ordered a coffee urn that said it was 10L but it only actually holds 5L. I'm returning it, but despite buying online and being able to return at my cost and receiveve a full refund by law, Adexa charge a 25% restocking fee. I will never consider buying from them ever again as this is bending the law to the extreme!!

I ordered a load of kitchen units from them a while ago for a small local charity. They arrived in 3 separate deliveries, one of which was absolutely battered. We refused delivery, the driver tried to leave it anyway but eventually took it back. I am still waiting on a replacement nearly a month later. I have tried to call them multiple times only to be stuck in a very very long queue, where it then suddenly dropped in numbers and then cut off. I tried to call back and the phone then said they are closed due to staff training! This was at 09:20 in the morning. I started an online chat, 4 hours later I got a response saying they are currently away please submit one of the online forms, then the chat suddenly went offline too! They do not deal with any issue, just avoid it. I will not be using this company ever again after this experience. Theirs T&C's are a joke regarding damage too, how can you expect a delivery company to wait for you to unpack and inspect 6 large kitchen units, it is a wonder any get delivered at all. The company is a sham and I will be contacting my bank if they don't rectify my missing item asap.

Don't use this company. Purchased a bar fridge, which was delivered and left in our car park. Upon opening, found a door to be badly damaged. Adexa would not accept product back without heavy losses on our side, so we agreed to a £70 Adexa voucher as resolution for the damaged good. When the voucher was received, we tried using it, but found it to be worth only £56 as they remove the vat when you try to use it. This company have absolutely terrible customer service, they don't reply quickly to emails, won't accept any liability for damage without massive loss to customer and don't think it's important to keep customers happy. Do yourself a favour , shop elsewhere! Date of experience: 01 July 2025

Absolute joke of a company.

Absolutely useless customer service, cannot get any response from them at all. Would give a 0 rating if it was an option. They sell good product but you cannot get any back up afterwards if it goes wrong.

The most horrible service ever. It’s a nightmare getting through to customer service. I have sent them numerous emails, no replies. They use couriers that sign for deliveries themselves and then Adexa expect you to report any damages within 24 hours of delivery. How are you supposed to do this when you have not even signed for the delivery and not even in the property and not even seen the parcel till after 24 hours! Does not make any sense at all. And the customer service is terrible, they do not know how to respect their customers.

One of the worst companies we have ever dealt with. Bought a freezer and paid for 'next day delivery'. It did not arrive 'next day' or the day after, or the day after, or the day after. We emailed their service team. No response. We tried the 'live chat' as recommended by their phone line. It does not exist. After 45mns we spoke to someone who said the freezer would be arriving that day. It did not arrive. Just now sending our third letter by recorded delivery in an attempt to receive a full refund. So far we have had 2 refund payments that still do not total the amount we spent. This is despite an email from Adexa promising a full refund.

Awful awful company with ZERO customer service. 1.5hrs to be able to speak to a human being on the phone, only to reach someone with NO authority or knowledge whatsoever. No compassion for a registered charity and would happy let them make a loss upon returning an item and no help to assist with courier arrangement. Reason for returning the item was because the manual posted online did not include vital information which meant the item was not fit for the charity's purpose. Really struggling to understand that a company can be so heartless. Short blunt replies on the live chat, just repeating this is company policy. Very upsetting.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered a refrigerated tabletop saladette and was sent the wrong model. I noticed the mistake immediately and called customer service, but was met with a rude and unhelpful response from someone named Zoe. She insisted I fill out an online form—even though I had already done so before calling. I explained that the correct item was urgently needed for a catering event and that the weather was very hot, but she showed no concern at all. It took four days just to get a reply asking for a photo of the incorrect item, and now I’ve been told it will take even longer for the next step. This is unacceptable. All they need to do is send the correct item and collect the wrong one—something that could easily be arranged over the phone. Instead, they’ve made it a frustrating and slow process. Poor service and zero urgency for customer needs

The worst experience I ever had, and specially the lady from the customer service” Sophie“ needs to be more polite, sometimes to say ‘hello’ and sometimes ‘sorry’ will be very nice.

Extremely poor experience – damaged freezer, no refund or support We ordered a commercial upright freezer from Adexa with paid next-day delivery. It arrived late and visibly damaged — the top corner was crushed. The driver dropped it off outside and left without allowing time for inspection. We reported the damage immediately with photos. The freezer was never used or plugged in, and we gave Adexa every opportunity to resolve the issue. Despite this, they only offered a small store credit or a repair — which is completely unacceptable for a damaged, brand new item. They then made unreasonable demands (like asking for video footage of the damage occurring) and eventually refused to assist us further. They also failed to refund the next-day delivery charge until we chased it ourselves. We’ve now had to raise the issue with our bank and report the matter to Trading Standards, as the freezer was not of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose. Their terms also attempt to classify all customers as “business users,” denying basic consumer protections — which we feel is misleading and unfair. We cannot recommend Adexa to anyone based on this experience.

Sent us badly damaged freezer and instead refund or replacement offering us coupon. We have sent proof of the damage outside our premises still waiting. Seems like we will take a legal action tomorrow.
