Took longer than I thought it should to answer call. Person left the phone to notify paramedics and put this horrible loud music on the phone. Music finally went off completely an nothing or noone on the line. The person who answered never stayed on the line or came back after they put the music on. Next thing I heard a minute or so later was the fire dept on the line indicating someone was on the way. I thought when I enrolled I was told the person answering the call would stay on line with me until someone arrived. That did not happen and since I thought I might be having a heart attack, that was very less than comforting.

Hello Nancy, We are very sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with your button and that the operator did not return on the line to advise you what was happening. We will be looking into this for you and we do want all of our members to be comfortable pressing their buttons in the event of an emergency. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for being a valued member of Alert1.

The most important thing is that you responded right away - you did fine. But there is one problem. I am her daughter, April. I am her primary care giver. I have called several times to be sure to call me first, but every time you call my brother. He is not close by. I am. It wastes time that I could be on my way to her. Please note this in the proper place so I am the first call when you receive her alert 917-837-2830. Thank you for your much needed help in keeping my mother as safe as possible.

Called in for non emergency ems we were not able to hear person from alert1 towards middle of conversation. He took quite a long time to call us back using telephone although he had put call in to ems. Been using alert1 for many years and have lost some confidence in them.

I only wish you would have told me that you had gotten ahold of my daughter and she was on her way. I had no idea what was going on till I heard someone coming in my house. That is a scary time and I wish you would have kept me informed.

A relative got email notification of the incident. The relative called the client and verified that this was a false alarm, and there was no imminent medical emergency.

I rated Acceptable after a request for a 911 call. The service to respond after the button is pushed seems to be a bit slow. Asking the name and location is OK once, but reassurance beyond one statement that an ambulance is coming is not enough from your service. Clearly stating that 911 has been called and an ambulance is on the way is of utmost importance and stating it a few times is a helpful and reassuring thing to do. The confidence is a bit lacking and the stepping up to the plate on the phone could use some improvement in emergency situations.

Thanks for responding to my call. The people who came with the ambulance were so good and caring. The only problem is the alert machine was so slow to answer the call. I timed it and I noticed that it took about 4,minutes before I got an answer. Please check on this because the time of responding for help is really important for emergency cases. Thanks again!

Took too long to answer, not what is expected from a 911 operation. Submitted by Jackie Somers, her daughter.

you need to have the monitoring company show FIRST ALERT ON THE NUMBER. ALSO 2 REQUESTS PLACED FOR A REPLACEMENT BAND. STILL RECEVED NO CALL.

It surprises me at how long it takes between pushing the emergency button to an actual person responding to the alarm. Also, the voice on the intercom is nearly impossible to understand especially by a senior. I have a problem understanding the person myself and I have no hearing problem; the sound is not clear at all.

Vera had an unresponsive episode while other people were there. One of them pushed the button but I was told that it seemed to take awhile for someone to answer the call.

I'm happy that you alerted local EMS when my mother fell. It's unfortunate you didn't provide the right lockbox combination for the front door key so EMS could easily enter the house. You did so the last time she fell and the system worked flawlessly. This time, however, EMS broke through the back door. Doug Sherman (son)

I was glad to be notified of my mother falling. I missed your call, but someone answered back at the callback number right away, and they were able to give me information.

They called folks listed on the phone list quickly but it took a long time before the emergency response team came. Second button push and request for help was required.

Your reaction is much to slow after pressing Alert button. Much faster just to call 911 direct. SORRY!
