“The length is great. I absolutely love that but the fit in different cuts of pants varies. A 2 can be tight in me or extremely baggy. All in all though they fit great.”

“I washed them, thinking they would shrink some but they did not. They are too long, but mostly the waist is too narrow—not the size I ordered. Since I washed them, I can’t return them.”

“These pants are great, I am 5’11” and a S Tall is perfect. What I docked stars for is the customer service (or lack there of). I first received an XS / Tall. I went thru their return/exchange portal and provided a picture. It would have been nice to be reached out to by a real person to acknowledge the mistake, and maybe get some expedited shipping, but there wasn’t. Just an email after I did the exchange entry to join their mailing list. The second package label was created Sept 3, but didn’t have updates for a week, then I finally received it on Sept 16. My original order was Aug 23. Meanwhile I got a review request for the first shipment that wasn’t correct. Bummed it took over 3 weeks to get the correct item, and kind of a bummer there’s no personal touch or customer service along the way (and still getting a ton of emails). My advice for AT is to put yourself through the customer experience especially when there’s an issue.”

“American tall has a responsive customer service unit. I love the fact that they care enough to make clothes for tall people and that would have gotten them a 5 points review from me but I choose to stick with 3 because it’s frustrating when an item that should be 34 inches in length comes back short and we keep going back and forth or quality of material falls short compared to the cost. I think they need to look into these areas.”

“I am 70+ years old, 6 feet tall, 155 pounds. In general, I have found that pants from American Tall are perfect length but the waist is way too tight. I’d love to have a clothing manufacturer design clothes for mature women. At age 20 I could’ve worn these clothes, but not now.”

“I would like to see a well made, wider selection of clothing in a wider range of fabrics: Cotton, linen, wool, cashmere, satin, silk…. These come with a higher price but I believe in purchasing clothing that is well made, of good quality, and will last. If anyone remembers Tall Girls in Yorkdale and downtown Toronto, you know exactly what I’m talking about.”
“Colour good, fabric good weight for cold weather, too many do ups at waist ( 2 hooks and a button). Straight leg and they were too full had to have pairs run in. Baggy from thigh down. After alterations the fit was better. Length terrific I purchased extra tall to be on the safe side.”

“The pants were too long (I am 5' 10 and take a 34 inch inseam) and way too loose. Unfortunately they were a final sale so I could not return or exchange them. Hopefully someone bigger and fatter can buy and enjoy them from my donating them to Goodwill. The color and material are nice.”

“When the clothes fit, I have been very pleased with the quality for the price. It's great to have a true tall option where sleeves, inseam, and torso length are cut proportionately long. Black, white, or beige are the most common color options. I'm always hoping to discover some bright colors or prints in "new items" each season. That occurs on occasion but not often enough in my opinion. Even though I always refer to the size charts before placing an order, it seems that the garments are not necessarily standardized to match the measurements in the chart. For me, this is what usually leads to returns or exchanges. I have found the return/ exchange process to be frustrating although the process is ultimately completed to my satisfaction. Sometimes, it just takes a while. I have not discovered a way to speak directly with customer service on the phone. Chat and email seems to be the only way to communicate. When I've attempted to resolve an issue "after hours", the communication is with AI which I find extremely unsatisfactory. More than once AI could not resolve my issue and I was directed to contact customer service to chat during " business hours". I will continue to shop at American Tall but only because there are so few online shopping options for tall women.”

“I wear a size 14 and bought these in an XL tall. They are comfy at first, but somehow the material stretches out as you wear them. So the XL eventually became loose and saggy on me. The pants fit my legs well but they were gaping at the waist. I was worried that a size L would be too tight, but they also could have maybe stretched a bit. The material is comfy but seems to trap in heat as well. I wear a 36" inseam and the tall was a nice length.”

“I ordered shower shoes for my husband. They were extremely uncomfortable across the top of his foot due to the plastic being so hard. I would have returned them but the return cost was half the price of the shoes so I'm giving them to charity and not ordering from American tall again”
