“Arrived safely and all parts intact
Put together easily and no trouble following the instructions,
I didn’t like the door catch as once the netting is on the door the catch just gets caught in it and so snipping will be needed to overcome that. It’s a bit if a flimsy thing and other than chickens in there the catch probably won’t do for other animals like dogs,
The catch will also flop down sometimes rather than a positive slude bolt affair.
There are some depressions made in the poles at bottom corners where the nuts and bolts go to fix the struts on. Depending on which corner is being dealt with then the depressions - to take the head of the bolt neatly, are basically on the wrong side of the upright tube. It’s no big deal but you end up fitting the thing together not how it was meant to be. This could be overcome by the mfr putting depressions on the tube hole to both sides. Then problem solved.
One other thing about the struts going on - as you connect them it is impossible to use the spanner supplied for a couple of the nuts and bolts as there isn’t room to get in there. Given it’s a fixed round head spanner you’ll need therefore your own open ended version to do up a few nuts/bolts. The closed end spanner just can’t be turned or twirled round in the space. Might work if it was a round head ratchet tupe but it’s fixed head.
Netting supplied is adequate and we had a bit left on the roll.
Overall the tube bars are good and seem strong. Great positive pip stud fastening. Speecs ip installation.
Storm Amy came through after construction and we’re on the top of a hill in Gloucestershire Cotswolds but all stayed put.
Ours is used for 6 hens with the coop inside.
Two people could probably move the structure which is important as the hens basically destroy the grass with their scratchings in a week. We went for the 5.7mtr version for the 6 hens and I think anything smaller wouldn’t suffice given their scratching and eating the grass and herbiage.
Once you’ve put in the coop, water drinker and food unit then it’s surprising how much room that all takes up,
I’m 6’ 3” and the height in there is fine.
So all in am very pleased and unit was good value for money.
There was some confusion at ordering stage as the description referred to plastic mesh. To me that sounded cheap and I wouldn’t have hone for ut if that was so. The sales staff clearly don’t have full technical knowledge of the products being sold and merely sent me the instruction sheet by email response.
However I was pleased to note that the goods came with a roll of plastic coated WIRE netting. Much better.
In a second box was a cute double swing and ladder to a platform for the chickens to use. Something else to take up room but hey ho! What you’d do with that if you’re keeping anything other than chickens I don’t know!”
“Ordered the bed for my cat, when it came, for some reason there was a packet of activated charcoal in the box, and the bed was covered in black stains and was a lot smaller than pictures illustrated. Then cost a further £8 to return!”
“Very pleased with this item. I had a little trouble as I was sent the wrong item but just one email sorted that out very swiftly and the correct item was sent immediately! Thank you Aosom!!! Love my little Footstool and use it daily :D”
“Very comfortable and relaxing! My only comment need 2 people to put together and brackets could be put a bit further back when trying to put in bolts as could rip the fabric on the outer side of seat.
Good price!”
