Had an issue with my oven. Took a while for first engineers visit to happen as living on the Isle of Wight and the Christmas season. Then had second visit, had further issues contacted AO. Said that they would look into it, no call back, had to call and AO less than helpful with the issues. Not at all interest. Spent thousands with AO in the past but never again

I recently purchased a TV from AO. Got delivered at 12 pm and called them at 3 pm to return. Since I have turned ON the TV and the model did not have the necessary apps i had to return. They cut 20% of the TV cost since they mark the item as used. I am ending up paying 128 pounds for the 640 pounds TV which is nowhere return to have mentioned such huge percentage will be deducted from the refund. They offered me a exchange for 10% but since I am totally dissatisfied I am okay to take the loss than to fall for their scam. Never buying from AO again in my life. One experience is worth for life.

Be careful when ordering, it says remove and recycle old appliance but if you don't tick the right box you will be stuck with your old appliance even though you have paid £35 pound membership fee ,total waste of money had to plead with crew to take the old one(gave them a tip) or would have had old fridge freezer stuck in the middle of the room.

As useless as John Lewis in the end. Chose them because I needed a new washing machine very urgently and they could deliver in 48 hours. JL wanted a week or two. Same price as everywhere else, reasonable fees for installation (could do it myself, couldn't be bothered) and to take the old machine away. Score 5 stars for pre-service. Easy website to use, good communication on delivery. Delivery itself fine - brilliant driver and assistant, machine installed fine. PROBLEM: Paid in advance for old machine to be taken away. Driver said no room on van as we were very early 7am delivery. He spoke to his "Driver Line" and passed the phone to me, so I spoke to them as well. Initially I was happy to leave the machine in the back garden (we are not chavs who want used appliances out front - a security risk as well as unsightly). BUT "Driver Line" told me they would pick up any time between 7am and 7pm the next day. Meaning having to hang around very early on a Saturday morning and all day to open the back gate for access. Getting a text 30 mins before doesn't really cut it, does it? And 2 days running as well. Now, AO made the mistake - and it is a very regular thing, the driver tells me. The VERY LEAST you would expect is that they would bend over backwards to find a confirmed time slot to put things right. But NO. This outfit is totally robotic in customer service. Actually, not customer service - they don't do that - I mean, in their system for dealing with their victims, I mean, customers. Upshot was I agreed to the chav option, machine sitting outside right now, so at least it will be collected without further disturbance. Asked the "Driver Line" to get customer service to call me between 9am and 10am, so was delighted to get a call at 9.10am from a friendly man. Turns out he wanted to sell me extra insurance (don't do it folks, "Consumer Rights Act 2015" gives you 6 years cover, free of charge, and a local repairman is far cheaper). Told him I was expecting Customer Services. He put me through, and I spoke to someone after 15 minutes on hold. They refunded my "collection fee" but as for actual compensation for stress, time and hassle? A long exchange of views - me talking over the person who just constantly repeated herself and even got the item I purchased wrong at one point - made me understand they don't give £75 or even £55 or basically cash back. Nor an extended guarantee. Oh, and the hilarious hopeless accused me of phoning the company before they had a chance to call me!!!! When they were the ones who called but not for the right reason. We did stay talking until 10am just to see if anyone would call me back. They did not. When "Driver Line" said "OK" to calling me between 9 and 10am, guess he was just trying to be agreeable rather than actually do anything (now there IS a surprise with this lot). They do own the mistake, but not the fact it makes the company look terrible or wastes the victim (not customer, remember, this company doesn't have them)'s time. Eventually got a £30 voucher code out of them, and person even said "I won't bother sending that" as I said I probably won't use AO again anyway. But did so anyway in the end. Probably won't use it, may pass it on to somebody I can't stand so that they can. Deeply regret trying AO. With John Lewis as bad, I guess my local Euronics or Independent gets a try next, or maybe Hughes which I think are owned by the impeccable Richer Sounds. There is a reason AO are going bust - they really don't have a clue about making customers happy and strangle the service staff who could do so. Avoid this circus. The extra star was due to the actual driver and assistant, or this would be a one star review. UPDATE: Gets worse. Machine left outside at THIER SUGGESTION and against my advice that it was a SECURITY RISK. Just 2 hours later it was targeted by scrap metal man who thought he could help himself to it, meaning it would not be recycled. AO are happy to expose their customers to street crime if you buy from them, too. It just gets better, doesn't it. If you just want a washing machine without any hassle this is NOT the company to buy it from. FINAL UPDATE: A second load of "scrap metal" dealers just stole the machine while I wasn't watching. Now 20 minute phone wait to tell AO not to bother trying to collect it. Yes, I have some manners, though why I am bothering I am not sure. And guess what. Told them. They couldn't care less. No compensation, another 20 minutes wasted. Writing to the Company Secretary now, just so I feel I have sounded off at everyone possible. May as well, as they have wasted so much of my time another 15 minutes to cut and paste this won't do any harm. 1 day later: AO did not cancel the pick-up, so a van turned up 11.20am. Can't even get that right- so customer service woman lied about that as well. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Seriously this noon is very irresponsible to give the customer satisfaction..we just purchase a sketcher shoes fully paid and pay extra for we request the urgent delivery coz I'm travelling back tomorrow and I need to bring that stuff..I received a delivery confirmation today.whole day I keep on waiting until I decided to call them to follow up.and suddenly telling me that it cannot be delivered...they are the one telling me to cancel my order.i insist not to cancelled it coz I said its already paid and I purchase coz I need it.after arguing to this customer service staff he said OK they will delivered..again I received a message saying that my stuff is on the way for delivery they send the code to get the stuff in adnoc service station which the noon box for item to pick up located..at 9:30 evening I come there to pick up..when I'm putting the code they send me its invalid still I cannot get the shoes..again I call the customer service..and this time they said they will deliver tomorrow...imagine how they give me the hard time to get the shoes that they already taken the full payment..they are not responsible to take the responsibility to give the good service..doing thus kind of service will loose your business for your info noon Management.. why you need to give the delivery confirmation if you already know by yourself that you cannot make it..and worst why you need to send message to inform that its ready to pick up then your giving invalid code..so it seems that you saying stuff is ready to pick up but the truth its not..your lying.you just giving hard time and disappointment on your customer..much better stop doing this business.you make your customer feel bad which is not good...your not deserved to recommend to other people coz your service is really really bad...

I would like to share my experience about ordering a chromebook from this website. Unfortunately i have had bad experience with this one. I even struggle to write a review coz half of my keyboard is not working. I have ordered this less like 9 month ago and always provided extra care, however now my keyboard is freezes and i am not even able to study.. i have tried to contact them but got a response with my order ID number, so no help.. i am very upset as i expect my laptop to last at least 3 years but this one broken down after almost not using it...

Bought fridge freezer product spot on .but the courier's were rubbish given 3 dates none arrived after ringing up today another date ect . finally product arrived the guys were spot on polite and even dropped off in passage .thanks but ao.com make sure the courier's that you choose are reliable .

Faulty and dented fridge/freezer delivered on 18th August. Driver would not remove bottom packaging so had to rope in the window cleaner to help unpack. Replacement delivered on 2nd September. Drivers were prepared to leave me with two fridge/freezers in a small room but then offered to take the faulty one outside. Spent over 5 hours on telephone to AO over past two weeks, each time on hold for 40+ minutes. Faulty appliance still awaiting collection in my driveway. I've used packaging from the second delivery to try and protect it but it is at the mercy of the elements (and passing scrap merchants!). Automated responses to emails to customer services indicate 5-7 days to deal with queries.

Delivered my replacement hotpoint washer today, Driver and mate fully installed it and took away the old one. Throughout the delivery they were both curious and helpful job completed without any fuss. Heyv163

Order item to be delivered, was given a delivery time. I was definitely home at the 3 hour slot given. Drivers must have arrived early, driver never rang me, apparently he did not have my mobile number. Money was refunded to me quickly and the staff who I spoke with were very nice

The only thing stopping this from being 1 star is that the people on the phone are nice. Deeply useless but nice. Ordered the oven, the delivery slot moved without my consent 3 times so I had to keep reorganising my plans and calling them again. Well down the line now and still no oven and no idea when it I will actually get a slot. Absolute shambles of a company

I ordered a washing machine from you i paid for the old machine to be taken away and the new one fitted, the delivery driver arrived and a few minutes later said i can not fit your washing machine to my hubby, saying he could not turn the cold tap off , hubby offered to turn the water off outside, but he would not listen and instead of ringing ao for advice or help,he just shouted at my husband and stormed off , so you have left a carer for disabled two people without a washing machine and one of the disabled people in the house is my hubby who he was talking to so now the order is being redelivered and my medically unfit to work hubby who is not getting paid is going to have to fit it i was looking forward to my early christmas present from my mum and dad

Date of delivery 10/09/2019. Set a month prior. On the 09/09/2019 got told delivery to be on the 11/09/2019, waiting in until I got a text a 15:00 stating that delivery will be tomorrow. Great timing because now I'm back in work and even doubt it will be delivered.

I bought an AEG oven, that came with free installation. This was to replace an old oven that was on its last legs. They turned up and came in. The "electrician" then turned the power off, unscrewed and removed oven, connected test probes to cable, ran test, tripped box 4 times, said RCD was faulty and to get an electrician to look at it. I asked if he could do it, he said no and that was that, so i arranged an electrician, He came out, ran a test and said there was nothing faulty, and that the AO guy probably had it on wrong settings. So pretty shabby from that point of view, and to think they charge £90 normally for it, money for nothing, and a pretty blase attitude. Thankfully, i have another oven, fully installed by an electrician who actually seemed to know what they were doing.

Had a tv delivered a couple of weeks ago. We paid extra to set the tv up, the delivery guys tried to leave the rubbish but we insisted on it being taken. We also had a sound bar which they would not have unboxed unless I’d asked. To be fair they did connect all the wires up but I did expect a quick demonstration as to how the remotes worked. There were 2 guys and I’d almost say they’d had words before they came in as they didn’t really speak to each other in the house.

Delivery drivers said my cooker would not go through doorway I said unpack it as it same size as old one that went out they phoned office did not listen to what we said, we had to say any damage made would not be their fault we said ok in the end cooker went through very easily!!!! These guys where the rudest delivery people I have ever encountered will never use this company again
