Great quality. Product was as advertised. It was a bit smaller than I expected. But that's on me.

Beautiful wallet, I have to give it a four stars as unfortunately there is a scratch on the inside section that actually is down into the grain of the leather, not a huge deal, but still unfortunate. Would buy again from this company

I liked the wallet. Great quality but my husband insists on carrying too many cards and it doesn’t have enough pockets. How can I get a RGA?

The leather and construction are beautiful. The storage design is excellent. Overall, I am very happy with my wallet. My only critique is that the clip apparatus doesn’t hold the money as tightly as I would like. It’s almost as if the mechanism is too short. However, it hasn’t caused any problem. I’m used to a strong magnet style clip and maybe I just need to adjust.

Purchased an irregular Johnny the Fox in Shell Cordovan among one of the many on sale. Generally, really like the way it looked. There were about 3 small scratches on the outer layer, which is what I guess prompted it to be labeled as an irregular. However, considering the set price and how much regular full Shell Cordovan wallets go for, I still think it was a great deal. Though not everything is perfect, and there are some personal gripes I had about it. -The fit is extremely tight throughout the entire wallet. While this is great for the cardholder portion of it, it makes it extremely difficult to pull paper currency in and out of the wallet. Shell Cordovan isn't really known to stretch that much, so I foresee that the fit will stay this way for a very long time. -There are portions in the stitching where there appears to be "knots" right at the portion where you place paper currency. This has "caught" onto the paper currency whenever I pulled it in and out practically every single time. At best, it makes taking out money slightly less smooth, and at worst, it could scratch or tear at the paper currency. As for potential suggestions: 1) Possibly make the compartment for the hidden card slot to carry more than 3 cards. This section is where I personally place my low-use cards, so it tends to be filled with more than 3 cards. 2) Possibly consider a wallet taller than 3.5" (for example, 3.7") so that it can accommodate more international currencies without sticking out. Unless I make a conscious effort to push in the money all the way through as careful as possible, for example, Japanese yen does stick out of the wallet from the top edge. All in all, I am still satisfied with the wallet, and I hope to continue to see how the wallet will age over time.

Just got my wallet. Got an Apple Watch band for Christmas and the leather was amazing so I said why not check out their wallets. Ended buying a wallet and so far so good, leather is different from the watch but it’s still brand new let’s see how it is after it’s worn.

Nice Wallet

The Fat Herbie is just a bit too big for a back pocket carry for me . The top of the wallet sticks out of my LC King pants back pocket . I would hesitate to wear this wallet in large crowds . It does work very well as a front pocket wallet or in a suit coat pocket . The wallet is a bit longer than my badge wallet but much thinner . The blue cypress leather is nice but I much prefer the shell cordovan so I bought that model as well . Attached are pictures of the grain of the blue cypress and a size comparison photo next to my badge wallet to give you an idea just how big this wallet is .

I purchased a natural shell cordovan Johnny the Fox wallet, black CXL belt and a "horween English Tan Dublin" belt. All arrived promptly and unboxing experience was excellent. The colors and craftsmanship of products were well-represented in online images. Very satisfied with quality of products. My only qualm is with the sizing of my belts from Ashland. I am finding a sizing discrepancy even though I followed the online measurement instructions. By measurements I have selected the closest fit to be 38" (from keeper to center hole). I have 4 belts from Ashland [Tan Dublin and Black, Brown, Color #8 CXL]. I purchased from Grant Stone the Brown CXL and Color #8 CXL a few months ago when the design had circular hole punches and only five holes. The newer belts have shifted to a design with 7 teardrop shaped holes (which I prefer). The three CXL belts are all the same length, but on the older 5 hole pattern I end up using the 4th hole for desired fit. With the newer styled Black CXL I end up well centered in the 4th of 7 for a comparable fit. The black model balances whole placement & fit best. I love the leather of the Dublin belt, but I believe it was either cut too short or mislabeled as a size 38. The Dublin is easily 1.5" shorter than the others. On the Dublin belt #2 of 7 is a little too loose (but not droopy) and #3 of 7 is a little too tight. I guess I can accept the Dublin #3 of #7 feel, but it is kind of a bummer to get a "so-so" feel out of a new $100 belt. The belt is definitely worth $100: rich warm color with great highlights and no doubt would age beautifully; just I probably won't end up using it as much due the feel of fit. Overall satisfied with the purchase experience and likely will purchase from Ashland again in future for a watch band or similar item.

Bought as a Christmas gift so I have no feedback yet…

Excellent Quality, Gorgeous Dye Work and not splotches at all. Was almost perfect. Wish it was just a smidgen bigger and a bit more roomy especially in the center pocket, but genuinely no complaints on the quality of the item itself.

I think I sent through a review already, but maybe I'm mistaken. The leather is lovely, super high quality, nice to handle, and I expect it to patina well and hold up for a long time. I was a little disappointed by the buckle (personal preference, nothing technically wrong with it), and the fact that the buckle isn't removable (which I knew when buying). Many of my other belts have the folded over part secured by snaps or threaded screws which is something that maybe you want to consider for future products, and it would likely encourage me to buy more if you did!

The build quality and feel of the wallet is exceptional. My only complaint is that the color was a lot darker than what was pictured. I ordered one of three green shell cordovan Capones. The one pictured on the website had a vivid green hue to it. The one I received looks black, with the exception of the spine of the wallet. You have to put it under bright light in order to tell it’s green and it’s barely visible and only at certain angles. I would’ve returned it for another one, but by the time I received it, they sold the other two. I’d certainly buy from them again, but I recommend contacting them to request a picture of the actual product you’re ordering.

The email heavily emphasizes that every review is read personally and important, but then the thank you reply is just generic words and a re-emphasis of the personal aspect with nothing relative to what the review said. Not the end of the world, but it does ring hollow.

Your buckle isn't my favorite, mostly because its sewn in rather than snaps or screws to allow switching, but the leather is top notch and that's really what I came here for. The inability to switch buckles may keep me from buying in more finishes though

Good company which is why I am a return customer. Was impressed with Shell cordovan Johnny the fox wonder if the nine Shell version quality is just as high

I really like the wallet I recently purchased in Cordovan color 8. It’s well crafted. Thin. And it smells amazing. I only have one issue, and it’s driving me a little nuts because I’m weird like that. On the interior fold of the leather, there is a large circular stain on “w” of Horween. Right next to it is an abnormality in the leather. And the word horween is slightly off center. Other than these combination of items, the wallet is really great

Fantastic quality and customer service. Only thing keeping it from 5 full stars was a mix up on thread color for my custom order. Other than that, perfect.

Hi Phil, Pretty good experience overall and my brother loves the Johnny the Fox wallet I gifted him. My experience would have been a five had you not discounted the price of the item $20.00 the day after I ordered it at $135.00. Brian 305-975-1919

This is my first Ashland product. Really like the wallet, its layout and quality are very good. I love that the cards stack higher than each other for an easy grab rather than sliding deep into their pockets! My reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is because the leather came a bit too scuffed up for it being a new wallet. There were quite a few scratches and marks on the face/back of the wallet. With some Venetian Balm and elbow grease I was able to take a good amount of them out but some are still in there. Second is the edge finishing isn’t the best. Seems like they already are coming apart a bit so I’m doing my best to not disturb them. I would love to purchase another JTF wallet maybe in the Shell Cordovan provided this guy lasts me a while. We shall see! Photos are after wearing the wallet for about two weeks now.
