Be very careful to question their pay-outs. They have a history of short changing customers and it has been written about in the newspapers. They are still doing it. They tried with me - telling me that my pension pay out was way less than it should have been. When I questioned why the life assurance pay out was less than the estimates both 12 months and 24 months prior they had no explanation other than "error". Then, by their own admitted errors, they delayed sending my money and as it was abroad the exchange rate went down and I got a lot less than I should have done. They admitted the error but won't rectify it. All of this was/is intentional. They try to keep your money in any way possible. IF YOU MADE THE MISTAKE BY HAVING YOUR LIFE ASSURANCE/PENSION/POLICIES WITH AVIVA, GET OUT QUICK BEFORE THEY STEAL YOUR RIGHTFUL MONEY FROM YOU. AVIVA SUCKS!

So. I was with them for 1 year after the driving app discounted my insurance down to an okay price.. 2nd year, going well up until a month before my renewal.. I brought a new car less than a month before my policy was due to renew - switching my ncb onto the newer vehicle, they failed to tell me this would result in my renewal, at the end of that month being split into 2 years and 1 year ncb instead of 3 years... great.. one whole year wasted. I swallowed that pill and gave them the benefit of the doubt.. Roll on my last renewal (22nd August). I received a letter, that despite now having 3 years no claims, and the 1 year on my old car, which is wasted.. that my insurance had gone up £60 a month, almost £700 over the entire year. I called to question this, the response was oh you've added breakdown cover.. I had my policy open in front of me, I hadn't, especially since I pay for breakdown separately.. They then went on to tell me I had added modifications to my vehicle.. again I had policy open in front of me, I had no modifications added to the vehicle nor policy. He couldn't explain to me why, with an extra years no claims bonus the price had gone up, trying to sell me down the path of I had done something to increase this price - I was then told this price was fixed, they wouldn't match even offer to match it with my current quote. To give you an idea of the costs, they were quoting an existing customer of what would have been a 3rd year with them £3100 for a 1.6l renault clio, for a 24 year old driver with no prior convictions and 4 years ncb. I emailed their customer service and complaints team on the 22nd July, I received an acknowledgement email on the 29th. Over a month later not a single word from them. I wish I had cancelled my policy on buying my new car in my second year and gone with Hastings or Admiral. I would have exactly the same amount of NCB, and I wouldn't be chasing for proof of NCB and an explanation on how they can increase prices by over 20% with no reason. Maybe I'll pop into their head office in London on my next day off, see if they reply to me in person?

Had the worst experience ever. An offer to pay out for my vehicle was made to myself (a complicated one), 24 hours later a very very rude man Justin O'Callahan called me and said they have changed their minds. He was so abrupt. I have since asked to speak with a different handler in which he replied 'NO' I asked to speak to the lady whos case this was and he replied 'THAT WONT BE HAPPENING' I asked for a Manager and was again told no. I said I didnt feel comfortable talking to him, he said 'I was being personal and will terminate the call' I asked to make a complain, he said referring to the original issue 'YOU ALREADY HAD' I asked to submit a complaint with a different adviser as I didnt feel comfortable, again he said 'THAT WASNT GOING TO HAPPEN' Just kept telling me it was his decision, and he was over writing the previous decision in which had come from the CEO office!!!! What an awful experience, awful customer service. This guy has clearly skipped his CS course. What ever you do, if you get through to him, terminate the call and redial for your own good. From one good person to another

Had the worst experience ever. An offer to pay out for my vehicle was made to myself, (quite a complicated one) less than 24 hours later a very very rude man Justin O'Callahan called me and said they have 'changed their minds'. He was so abrupt. I have since asked to speak with a different handler in which he replied 'NO' I asked to speak to the lady whos case this was as advised by the Financial Ombudsman and he replied 'THAT WONT BE HAPPENING' I asked for a Manager and was again told 'NO'. What an awful experience, awful awful customer service. He offered me £500.00 compensation for the treatment...To basically make me go away...Like that cuts it! This guy has clearly skipped his CS course. What ever you do, if you get through to him, terminate the call and redial for your own good. From one good person to another.

Health Insurance from Aviva is not worth the paper its written on. Will go to great lengths to ensure you cannot claim. I need some investigation work carrying out, and because of something that I have had for 8 years (No symptoms) I cannot make a claim. EVEN if it turns out to be this I have had no symptoms for 8 years!!! There are good insurance companies and then there are insurance companies like Aviva that only want the cash! Avoid this company.

Car insurance maybe - but under no circumstances involve the chaos that is Aviva in your pension. It has taken me 6 months to get an Ombudsman ruling against them for mis- management - and now I am still having to chase payment !

I had to claim on my house insurance for the first time ever. It was only £200 after paying £100 excess. My renewal came a few weeks later and my premium has gone up by £100 so I might as well have not been insured.

After charging me a £54 'admin' fee for notifying them I got married, Aviva then sent me a renewal quote of £394, when the previous year was £204, despite the fact I have 10 years NCD. No wonder (like many others) I switched, nearly 2/3 of all the reviews on here are the lowest score of 1 and the company announced 1800 job losses last month. Stop taking custom for granted Aviva!!

Buildings insurance premium increased by 35% over 2 years. No change in our circumstances and no claims. Apparently pricing decisions are made by a non-customer facing team, who don't give any transparency into their decisions. Poor guy on the phone told us there's nothing he can tell us or do. Just another example of a firm ripping off a long standing customer (or trying to get rid of them)!

Car drove into front wall causing it to collapse, car drove off but police caught up with them and provided us their insurance details, contacted Aviva and gave all details and was told to get some quotes and send pictures in. Which I did, quotes were around £1100 - £1400. Aviva eventually responded saying that their surveyor said it should have cost £560. So they sent their own approved contractors round to assess the wall, arranged the work to be carried out totalling 5 days!!! For £560 😂 After taking a £150 excess they have made no attempt to recover any of the losses from the car drivers insurer and have told me that it takes too much time recovering such things. So my wall gets damaged and I end up out of pocket!! Typical insurer!!!

Appalling service - my husband has been trying to get his pension from Aviva for the best part of a year. The latest delay is that they want a copy of our bank statement - they already have our account details as the pension has been paid out of that same account!!! Come in Aviva - it's not your money!

Dont touch AVIVA . They are absolutely without integrity. We had an arson attack and a building was completely destroyed and they are refusing to pay out. In fact they are looking for a reason to void our insurance cover totally. AVIVA insurance means no insurance. Avoid.

Policy due for renewel next month WITH NO OUTSTANDING PAYMENT 6th june 2019 and i was thinking i will have 4 year no claim bonus becuase i have not had any accident or any convication,i had hit and run accident last year december 2018 so i never claim through my own insurance or third party because i never had registration number plate,so i decided to let my insurance AVIVA know that i had this issue and please make a note in your computer for future reference, but i will not be claiming for any damages, got my renewel a week a go which states that my no claim bonus has been reduced to one year and also my renewel price which was more then last year, so i speak to customer service and asked them why my renewel price has gone up and why i have lost my 4 years no claim bonus and reduced to 1 years, aviva explain sayin that you had a claim last year december 2018, i was shocked when i heared this. So i had to explain the whole situation to aviva again for this accident which i never made a claim.after putin me on hold for 30 minutes they finally agreed that it was our fault and we have made amistake. this aviva company aviva gone against me put a claim in my name with out any reason.so i was upset and made a complaint regarding this issue becuase my premimum has gone up becuase i made a claim, but in reality ther was no claim. So the adviser KELVIN claim department assured me that eveything will be oryt and you will get your no claim bonus reinstated and you will have 4 years no claim bonus and you renewel price will be lower. SO i recieved my no claim bonus and my renewel has gone down only £100 to what the original price was with 1 year no claim bonus, so i said to customer service i will think about the premimun and i will get back to you if i want to renewe my policy or not. TWO DAYS LATER AFTER RESOLVIN THIS ISSUE, I SEEN IN MY BANK ACCOUNT AVIVA HAVE TAKEN MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT BEHIND MY BACK WITH NO INFORMATION PROVIDING THAT WE WILL TAKE ANY AMOUNT FROM YOUR ACCOUNT SO NOW I ELFT WITH NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO TAKE THIS MATTER FURTHER TO FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICES

Bloody where shall i start, the claim analysts are charlatans, they are paid to change your whole story and lyingly will also refer to the phone calls which are supposedly recorded, if you are in a fault claim then forget this company, they wont investigate the claim thoroughly they will label you as a fraud etc and close your claim/policy down without any notice, mind you they will also keep your premiums paid, if you try and clarify yourself the claim analyst will say he dont want to know and hang up on you, the guy i spoke to was a bleeding arrogant/ignorant person, you could tell from his tone and manner that this guy was a circus clown, aviva a MAJOR STAKEHOLDER? Nope!!! aviva a MAJOR STEALER! stealing money from hard working citizens, best insurers are AXA never a trouble, AVIVA Not recommending you to even my enemies, whosoever reads this review please do yourself a massive favour and “DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL, PLEASE USE ANOTHER INSURANCE PROVIDER” ZERO RATED, 1 star rating is over generosity!! I WANT MY MONEY
