Last year, I was paying £1,344.24 a year over monthly instalments for my Aviva car insurance. The only thing that has changed since August 2019 is my address. However, the renewal quote they offered me is now £1,568.74 - over £200 more expensive! How can my insurance increase by £200 due to a change in address? I could understand if I now lived in a rough area. However, Esher is much safer than High Wycombe, and I can also now put my car in a garage; so if anything, it is even SAFER than it previously was. My car insurance should be decreasing; since I have another year of no claims. I will now be looking to buy car insurance elsewhere. What Aviva have offered me is extremely unfair.

Have been an Aviva customer for years - made a claim on my fleet policy for a car accident which meant the car was written off and guess what they won't payout enough to buy a like for like replacement when you can't find any car at the value they place on it - sticky fingers when it comes to paying out and it's only then you know what you paid for

Very Poor Customer Service .... (should be 0 Stars) I had a Vehicle hit my car behind and within a week his insurance admitted Lability however I was told that his insurance had to admit lability to Aviva and this could take upto 6 months!!!! .... only after I raised a complaint they bothered to call his insurance to find out i'm correct ... then I was told by a very rude person they will drop complaint (I guess if its to much effort they can't be bothered) also when my car came back from repair within 10 mins I got a call I must return courtesy car immediately ...they are more concerned about incurring costs for the person that hit me than looking after their customer ...my policy due for renewal end of this month ... I wonder if I will stay with them? ...yeah right!!! ... avoid like the plague!!!

one of the worst companies I've ever experienced. Placed an order BEFORE 7PM for an item and not only paid extra for next day delivery but also extra for before 1pm guaranteed. After placing I didn't receive any email confirmation number 1 Number 2 after calling the following morning to enquire about my purchase, I was spoken to with the utmost disregard and lied to about my order. I explained to them its needed for a job of mine and if they're absolutely certain its going to be with me by 1pm to which they reassuringly confirmed. I had to leave out as it was well past 15:00, at around 18:00 my partner informed me that had been delivered by dx mail who dont offer a guaranteed by 1pm service.

According to their website only online quotes for home insurance as available. I completed an online request for a quote and the price was so high it was untrue. I got insurance with better cover for another provider for around a third of the price.

Aviva r total scammers and fraudsters. There main business is to find little mistakes, then they will still offer u and go ahead with policy, then 10_20 days later bring forward the mistake and either increase premium significantly or charge cancellation fees. Looks like FCA is asleep. If they knew that there is some mistake then why take deposits and start up policy in the first place. In my opinion avoid them at all costs even if there premium is cheaper than others as they'll scam u with more money later

Do not waste your money paying for insurance with Aviva! My parents are both 85, my dad has Alzheimers and life is very difficult. They have paid to insure their property all their lives and have ensured that it is well maintained. Last Sunday they had water pouring in through their sitting room ceiling. It was apparent that the roof was leaking due to very high winds and torrential rain through the night. The ceiling is badly damaged and the carpet is ruined. We had to get an emergency roofing contractor out to stop the leak and ensure the property was water tight. Aviva claimed that as it was not categorised as storm damage (in their opinion there had been no storm in the area), it was therefore not covered by their insurance policy. Disgraceful!

I had my car insurance with them for 3 years I was paying around £450 a year then they failed contact me at my address and sent mail to the wrong address that I believe it has been sent to regarding 3 accidents the first one was my first 1 was apparently hitting a parked vehicle I cause so much damage apparently the car with the right off second one was woman undertook me and hit me when try to emerge into my Lane I told them situation but my insurance company Aviva did not listen to what I told them give it was my insurance broker I sent them the evidence and Witnesses statements to what has happened and fail to pass it on to my insurance company as I was unsure who to send it to as i was with devitt insurance, caravan Club, Arriva. yes I know I didn't know you could have so many companies in your policy and the third was so jack ass hit the back of my car when as was waiting to pull out on the the road from a junction i said just leave it just a broken bumper i will get a new one the next day by the time i hot home i had 5 phone calls from his .............. asking what my car is like wanting pics etc at 11pm he admitted all falts to his company as they said to me over the phone so i called aviva i said how is this going to affect my policy they said it will not as he was at falt and has accepted all responsibilities from the accident so no thanks to this my renewal price is just over £2200 a year and i did not even make make a claim for that thanks aviva, devitt insurance caravan club insurance for penalising honest people

Do not use this insurance company, I got into a car incident and they wrote off my car without thorough investigation. Then they allowed the third party who caused the incident to make only an injury claim against me? when I genuinely was at fault and if I had any injuries, I could sort it out myself and get my own external solicitor. Companies like this are the reason people do not pay car insurance.

My wife took out , critical illness cover with this company 10 years ago , she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis this year , after months of unbearable pain her medication prescribed by an R and A specialist has eased her pain but RA is a chronic illness and I can have flare ups at anytime, aviva refused her claim because shes not severe enough, disgusting company as there claims handlers know more about RA than the specialist my wife is referred to , keep well away

Really bad I got insurance from aviva but through a broker they used academy insurance service. They have just billed me for leaving the company as I sold my house and didn't need to insure it. They have claimed 60% of the premium for safety and danger premium on the account. I refused to pay but they said its in the cancellation which my broker didn't explain to me. I would use these or any other these people again ever. Get independent insurance it's cheaper and make sure you ask them on the phone what the charges are when you need to leave.
