“My local store in Huddersfield used to be very busy on Wednesdays with elderly people making purchasers with a discount of 10 per cent. Now that this perk has been removed the store is very quiet. Surely B and Q were gaining with this arrangement? Its Wickes from now on.”

“An assistant by the name of Mark at the Speke branch in Liverpool was very helpful. I had purchased some ply board and needed it cutting to size. Mark advised me on how it would best be cut in order to fit in my car and yet still be fit for purpose. Thank you Mark. My life was made so much easier and the board still did the job. You went above and beyond the 'call of duty.'”

“There was a positive response from Dylan at Customer Services when my delivery was delayed a day. He was keen to address my concerns and promised to pass them on to the relevant departments. This restored my faith in the company and I would look to use them again.”

“I visited Band Q Bamber Bridge today, staff were in short supply and I was getting frustrated. Eventually I found some help from Jane supervisor. She was very helpful as I wanted several items for my decorating project , very knowledgeable and was interested in what I was doing. Thankyou”

“I use the local B&Q (Bishopbriggs) often and find the staff very good. We have been in the store several times as we are buying a new fitted kitchen and found the staff who attended to us to be very efficient and caring . They were Rebecca, Stuart and Gordon. ToDay we called and spent £500.00+ on tiles,handles,extra units,etc. We took these to the checkout on 2 flat bed trolleys and the check operator was very off hand .She did not offer any help to we two O.A.P.'s .We struggled out to our car and luckily met a member of your staff,Mark who loaded our purchases into our car. Please thank your good staff and send your check out operator on a customer care course.”

“We would like to recommend Alli at the B & Q Store Hedge End, Southampton. Alli works in the kitchen department and has been an enormous help to us in choosing replacement doors/drawers for our existing kitchen. She is patient and knows her 'stuff'; she was very helpful and patient! Thank you Alli - Ros and Pete”

“Only went in for 2 items: 1 - I couldn't find exactly what I wanted but an assistant, who was setting up a season display & had their arms full, was still able to tell me that they don't do it (3 shops later I can't find anywhere that does nowadays) but talked me through the available options. 2 - only one left with no label on it but was taken by a senior cashier who contacted the stockroom immediately & then used his assessment to charge me a very sensible price, out for quickly.”
