Absolute shambles of a company. Order placed a week ago including payment for delivery. No sign of my goods. Called customer support and after saying hello hello repeatedly several times a female responded and said our systems are down I can’t help you. Call back in an hour. In the background all that could be heard was laughter. Shambles of a company and that’s the last time I buy anything from you.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? B@Q Gallagher Retail Park Longwell Green, Bristol. I bought 6 x 5m MDF sheets from this store yesterday, 29th October 2022. Had them cut by a lovely, older gentleman, so helpful. I paid, loaded the pieces into my daughter's van. That bit was fine, I had to go back in to buy 6 x 18mm large sheets, they were too heavy for me to lift down from the stack, but with a long queue for the lovely cutting guy, and no sign of another member of staff, tried to do it on my own. I'm a 65 year old woman, and always try and help myself (and others) A young girl assistant appeared and offered to help me, she told me to ask for help with loading into my van at the checkout, and that 'someone from 'building' would come down to help me' I dragged the trolley to the checkout (a trolley loaded with 6 x 2400 x 1200 18m sheets of mdf is not an easy job) told the blonde middle aged woman on the till what the young girl had said, she barked 'there's a trolley guy out there, ask him, if he's not there, come back' I dragged it out to my van, no sign of 'trolley guy' so attempted to lift one in, it was too heavy, couldn't get it back onto the trolley, there was no way I could have dragged it back them all back in anyway. Then I saw 'trolley guy' across the car park, a tall, 20 something, obviously not happy in his work, I'd left the sheet half inside my van, doors open, mdf on trolley sticking out into lane, asked him if he would help me. He huffed, had the look of a sulky 5 year old being asked to put his toys away, I apologised??!! not sure why, he shuffled along behind me, looked completely p....d off, made a brief attempt to lift a sheet in, with my help, said it wouldn't fit, lolloped off back to his toys, I mean trollies. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?????????????!!!!!!!!! I must say, a really kind old Indian gentleman offered to help, but I didn't think he'd be able to, so politely refused. I then phoned my husband, at work, he came as soon as he could, I had to sit in the back of the van propping up the sheet that 'trolley guy' had left half in half out, He turned them, laid them flat, they all went in fine! If the stupid hard faced cow on the till had called 'someone from building' as requested, I wouldn't have been stuck in the car park with a load of mdf for over an hour, and if 'trolley guy' moved a little faster, he might not be so morbidly obese!

We love b and q usually most of the staff are good We go as late at night as possible to avoid people as I am immune suppressed and very vulnerable, Wearing my face coverings we went into the Grantham store, whilst managing to avoid customers and trying to stay safe a staff member came and stood right next to me whilst I was choosing wallpaper, total disregard to my safety given the fact I was wearing a face covering which should indicate I take covid seriously I am also disabled which meant trying to move away from him quickly to be safe nearly resulted in a fall

Wrong doors delivered. Installer was clueless. Quality of fitting very poor. No project management to cope with b&q supply errors. Already a month has passed and the kitchen units are only partially constructed. They take a week to reply to emails. Extremely unsatisfactory.

Recently ordered & installed Atomia bedroom units, which we were very happy with. However, due to an oversight by ourselves, we found we would have to modify the wall units. We visited our local store on Sunday to discuss this. We approached the two women at the desk in the bathroom/ bedroom dept, & were kept waiting whilst they finished their conversation (not work related). We found the attitude of the older lady very negative, almost as if we were an inconvenience. Not at all helpful, rather frosty & frankly patronising. Such a shame,as previously we had received a lot of help, from a young man called Josh, who couldn't do enough for us.The younger woman had a name badge. Her name was Lizzie & she wasn't too bad,but the other one( no name badge, wonder why?)was definitely uninterested in us,& made it pretty clear. Will return when other staff members available.

Does b&q use special offers as click bait. I have noticed some really good deals on their website, but when you try to purchase it there is none in stock anywhere. For example erbauer thicknesser planer for £110. Homebase seems to be up to the same game.

Visited Hull Ferry Lane and asked a question to a lady on the till and she was very abrupt and rude!! How she works in customer retail I have no idea! I was spoken to like a five year old. Unhelpful to say the least, I wouldn’t return to this store. I do have her name but I won’t name and shame on here! But then I asked a lovely chap called Nigel and he went above and beyond to help and he sorted us out. Lovely man, an asset to the company. I do believe he was partially blind too, nothing was any trouble, brilliant customer service, just a shame about the snotty lady on the till. Time of visit 12.45 30/11/21

I wanted to buy Ronseal fence paint. I live in Falkirk, they had none, so I asked the young lass at the till to check the stock. She was pleasant and told me Cumbernauld had 22 Tins and Stirling had 5. My husband and I went to Cumbernauld, from Falkirk it is closer. On our arrival young gent told us aisle 5, could not find it, we then asked 2 young girls who again said aisle 5, we told them it wasn't there. The young lass went looking for us to find out that it had been put on a high shelve and there was no forklift driver to get it down for us, we were told it would be 2 days before we would be able to have it. Staff were nice. I was very unhappy that I had travelled so far to find out that I could not buy it. 22 tins in store but not for sale, it really does not say much for B n Q that their staff tell Cumbernauld has 22 in stock, and are happy to advise you to travel there but no way for them to know it is not actually for sale. Your system is broken. Very disappointed

Prices are 190% higher than competitors! Went to buy 4" flappy vent covers and they were charging £7.50 each. The same thing is £2.59 at Toolstation. Silicon is twice the price. I am getting a 10% discount as a trade customer but even with this it is simply not worth going back. Come on B&Q - sort your pricing out or you will loose what limited trade custom you have left.

I ordered the Form Contor drawer storage unit online as I desperately needed some storage for my newborn baby’s clothes.....they arrived with no packaging whatsoever and absolutely filthy dirty. It had been raining so there were puddles inside the drawers. Not a great experience ordering from B&Q and I doubt I’ll do so again.

It seems that B&Q do not accept criticism. I recently purchased a Colours Green & natural Coir Door mat (L)0.6m (W)0.4m from my local store. I found that it bows very easily and creates a potential trip hazard. I have twice tried to leave a review raising my concerns and both have been rejected as shown below. "Hi xxxx, We’ve been unable to publish your review as it doesn't meet our guidelines. However, you're welcome to re-submit a review after checking our guidelines . Submit a new review Thank you, B&Q Online Team Good idea but poor quality The design is good as it allows water and muck to fall through so doesn’t get waterlogged like some mats. The mat is let down by the weak retaining wire system which allows the mat to bend up around the sides when used and then releases the coir mat strips. This creates a trip hazard. Turning the mat over gets it flat for a few more treads. I have tried to bend the frame back over the strips, but don’t think it will last more than a day or two. It needs cable ties or similar to hold it together. If I had the receipt I would take it back." Obviously they don't want to publish negative comments about their products!

I would strongly advise not to purchase from B & Q and the basic problem is there Customer Services. If you order larder doors they are delivered using a 3rd party service ( example. Parcel Force or DX ) . So far I have had 6 doors delivered damaged and 4 doors that where undelivered by DX ( Due to the damage received during transportation). 10 doors in total is ridiculous. So ! I tried to escalate the issue only to find out customer Services have No record of my original call? So on 2nd call I requested to speak to a manager 4 Times. Finally I was told that manager would call me . I am still waiting.
