I wanted to buy Ronseal fence paint. I live in Falkirk, they had none, so I asked the young lass at the till to check the stock. She was pleasant and told me Cumbernauld had 22 Tins and Stirling had 5. My husband and I went to Cumbernauld, from Falkirk it is closer. On our arrival young gent told us aisle 5, could not find it, we then asked 2 young girls who again said aisle 5, we told them it wasn't there. The young lass went looking for us to find out that it had been put on a high shelve and there was no forklift driver to get it down for us, we were told it would be 2 days before we would be able to have it. Staff were nice. I was very unhappy that I had travelled so far to find out that I could not buy it. 22 tins in store but not for sale, it really does not say much for B n Q that their staff tell Cumbernauld has 22 in stock, and are happy to advise you to travel there but no way for them to know it is not actually for sale. Your system is broken. Very disappointed

Prices are 190% higher than competitors! Went to buy 4" flappy vent covers and they were charging £7.50 each. The same thing is £2.59 at Toolstation. Silicon is twice the price. I am getting a 10% discount as a trade customer but even with this it is simply not worth going back. Come on B&Q - sort your pricing out or you will loose what limited trade custom you have left.

I ordered the Form Contor drawer storage unit online as I desperately needed some storage for my newborn baby’s clothes.....they arrived with no packaging whatsoever and absolutely filthy dirty. It had been raining so there were puddles inside the drawers. Not a great experience ordering from B&Q and I doubt I’ll do so again.

It seems that B&Q do not accept criticism. I recently purchased a Colours Green & natural Coir Door mat (L)0.6m (W)0.4m from my local store. I found that it bows very easily and creates a potential trip hazard. I have twice tried to leave a review raising my concerns and both have been rejected as shown below. "Hi xxxx, We’ve been unable to publish your review as it doesn't meet our guidelines. However, you're welcome to re-submit a review after checking our guidelines . Submit a new review Thank you, B&Q Online Team Good idea but poor quality The design is good as it allows water and muck to fall through so doesn’t get waterlogged like some mats. The mat is let down by the weak retaining wire system which allows the mat to bend up around the sides when used and then releases the coir mat strips. This creates a trip hazard. Turning the mat over gets it flat for a few more treads. I have tried to bend the frame back over the strips, but don’t think it will last more than a day or two. It needs cable ties or similar to hold it together. If I had the receipt I would take it back." Obviously they don't want to publish negative comments about their products!

I HAVE NOT RECIVED MY PRODUCT SO CAN NOT RATE IT. I LEFT A NOTE FOR DELIVERY DIVER AS I HAD TO POP OUT UNEXPECTEDLY, EITHER THEY DIDNT SHOW OR CAN NOT FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS THAT WAS LEFT CLEARLY ON THE FRONT DOOR , WHY COULD THEY NOT PHONE AND CHECK ?OTHER DELIVERY OPERATIVES DO BUT CLEARLY NOT DPD. A SHORTHER DELIVERY TIME WINDOW WOULD BE APPROPRIATE AM OR PM DELIVERY NOT ALL DAY UP TO 22.00 HRS AND ENSURE THAT THE COURIER HAS TELEPHONE NUMBER CONTACT , B&Q ASK FOR IT JUST IN CASE BUT CLEARLY NOT PASSED ON

I would strongly advise not to purchase from B & Q and the basic problem is there Customer Services. If you order larder doors they are delivered using a 3rd party service ( example. Parcel Force or DX ) . So far I have had 6 doors delivered damaged and 4 doors that where undelivered by DX ( Due to the damage received during transportation). 10 doors in total is ridiculous. So ! I tried to escalate the issue only to find out customer Services have No record of my original call? So on 2nd call I requested to speak to a manager 4 Times. Finally I was told that manager would call me . I am still waiting.

The que control and staffing levels are really poorly managed at B&Q. We just went to Homebase where they handled the ques much more efficiently

So we ordered a kitchen and paid almost £10,000.00 cash for it on 18th November 2020 , we rec’d text messages to tell us of our delivery dates 2/2/2021 and 9/2/2021 only to get a call a few hours before delivery due to say they were out of stock on one item so I found a store that had the item in so I went to pick it up. On my way home I get a call from the Peterborough B & Q to say another item was out of stock and they hoped to have it in a week or so???? The explanation is that although they were paid in November the order is only processed the day before I feel this is a disgrace

Due to lockdown thought I would do the sensible thing and order on line. Big mistake people. Ordered 4 in stock items, day before delivery received an email telling me one item wasn't in stock. A subsequent refund of £4 was given. Delivery day arrives and the out of stock item was different . Its value was £36. Numerous phone calls to staff who were polite and helpful resulted in me having to drive to another store to pick up the missing item. I'm hoping that they now sort out the correct refund. I'm not holding my breath. Come on B&Q, you can do better than this.

Do not trust the b and q website!! Travelled 30 minutes to netherfild branch to find the slabs we required were not in stock (even though website was showing 7). Ring before you go or waste an hour your time, like I did!!

Ordered some basic shelves using Click and collect, collected absolutely fine, got them home and opened up the packaging and they were damaged. Brought back and absolutely no one in the shop knew where to find replacements. I was sent to several aisles (inc. one for toilet seats) and no one seemed interested in helping me, so I gave up and got a refund. Very poor customer service indeed.

B&q in Greenwich, I asked a member of staff for help she failed to even want to know what I was after and ordered me to check a isle which I did and the item was not there. I approached her again as I could not find it and asked if she could show me as it says 3 were available on their website. She told me if I Cant see it it means it’s not there or go and use my eyes. Such a rude comment to make to someone! I was so shocked. I work in customer service and I would never speak to someone in this manner. Anyways the manager was able to show me the item not in the isle she demanded it was in. I will never go to that branch again! The worst customer service.

I bought a complete bathroom set from b&q 7 months back.. Couldn't get a builder/fitter for ages until 4 weeks ago.. When installing there were no connectors for anything..i had been sold the wrong ceiling pannels and the panels also had no snap connectors to secure to ceiling.. The woman Wendy at ashton had not included my walk in shower on the original order so had to return to purchase.. And last no bathroom light.. I insisted when purchasing everything for the fitters that i wanted nothing left out so that when they started we didn't have to go back every 5mins for bits.. Wasn't the case The attitude of wendy in both cases of incomplete order and no fixtures was hostile.. Iv been here 13yrs and never one complaint. Well heres a complaint to blemish your run.. £3000 for bathroom no shower included An additional £700 for fixtures fittings not pointed out to me when purchasing.. I have no experience at buying a full bathroom suite and thought that i was in capable hands.. Not the case More bothered about designing my bathroom on computer than actually supplying me with all necessary accumpliments to start/finish bathroom I was supplied with a triton shower..not told that i needed an isolation switch.. Flexy pipe for water... They are supposed to be experts.. Pointing out what i needed for each point of instalation.. If ever i decide to change bathroom again.. I will be going to a bathroom installer and not a foul mouthed snappy b&q so called expert🚿🤕
