Had a delivery which was the wrong item. It took 6 phone calls unanswered. 3 emails unanswered. 3 messages answered but no help. 1 phone call where I just pressed a number (did not wait to be cut off) and spoke to a very nice man, who although I was on to the wrong department looked up my order and rang the Reading Shop that the delivery had come from. Phone call from Reading that evening saying I would get an email with new delivery date when I could send back the wrong goods. One more week nothing. I now knew that I needed the Reading Store so looked up their number. Went though to wrong department (not deliveries) but a nice lady said she would speak to deliveries for me. Said I would get a phone call. A miracle I did. A lovely man called Harry Armstrong listened to my story and arranged for the correct order to be delivered that day. Less than an hour after I had put the phone down I had my order. It had taken me over 2 weeks to get hold of someone. If I had managed to speak to him straightaway you would have got more stars. So five stars to Harry. I know it is difficult times but it was B & Q's mistake and I could not let them know.

Went to a shop for bits and pieces, found a nice garden table set but had paper sheet on stating this is only for display and have to purchase online, went online, says can buy only at the shop... šŸ™„ This week tried to buy a saw online but they dont have it in stock filled in the form online to ask when they will restock, at the end of submission of form an error appears, probanly would be the same phoning in.

My dad and I were looking at artificial grass however didn’t understand the measurements as they weren’t specified well on the label. We then asked a woman named Susan for some help regarding measurements. I politely asked her if she could come help and her first response was ā€œI can’t cut anything for youā€. I told her I understood considering the situation however I just needed her to look at measurements. She agreed however with a poor attitude and her entire demeanour was very poor. She then came up to my dad and I and claimed she had no idea regarding any of the measurements and then tells us ā€œif you move out of the way then I will come look at the labelā€. She had no manners at all when asking us to move so we could respect social distancing whilst she looked at the label, and also was entirely rude to my dad when he asked simple questions. She also kept reiterating she was unable to cut any grass for us at the time despite us telling her several times we simply just wanted to know the correct measurements. I would have appreciated if instead of being rude and have poor manners, she asked another member of staff to help us instead. Very poor customer service. However, my dad and I have received consistently positive customer service every other visit, and especially from the paint department who voluntary advised us on what we should buy and what would help us to most.

As a trade card holder and trade UK card holder I have been told that my trade UK Card is not proof of trade point elegibilty , this is after a 3mile drive to clear vital plumbing and gas fittings. Please explain to your staff that a trade UK card is only available to trade professionals, point blank refusal to look for my detail on your trade point system. Norwich boundary road branch.

I ahm seriously struggling to contact B and Q because they've cancelled my Kitchen delivery date but not given me an alternative date. I've fully paid for it so they're holding my money too.

I went to the DERBY STORE to buy plasterboard. Mon 3 Feb mid afternoon so not overly busy but no trolleys available that would carry large plasterboard sheets. Customer service were useless, the manager couldn't be bothered to come out of her/his hidy hole. Why were no trolleys available? Because they were using them to display special offers. Having waited 10 minutes I gave up and unloaded a special offer trolley onto the floor and used it to buy plasterboard. What a dreadful shop

We visited local store in ashford kent today. Nathan on the timber saw on the building department was 5 stars all the way I wish his colleagues were half as good. We asked about a product check from someone else on another department, after a few minutes I could see the lady had just gone back to stacking shelves and completely ignored we were still waiting... Another staff member shouted over the aisle a few minutes later"are you the one who wants to know if we have any of these in stock?... No... I dont think we've got any". Not great customer service.

B&Q and Valspar paint partnership. I’m currently decorating my new house and used valspar paint (partnered with B&Q) from B&Q because I wanted to mix paint. Having used their dulux mix many times in the past I thought it was a good idea. They now only stock a limited amount of colours from dulux and other companies so I bought a regular valspar paint and a valspar wood paint too. It was appalling. It’s much more expensive than the other paints they sell and has terrible results. I had to put 6 coats on 1 of the walls as it was being painted over a darker colour. It comes off with the roller as you paint it on and dries streaky. The wood paint took 3 coats over the white I was painting over, which had yellowed. To put it in perspective I painted other rooms with dulux. It went on beautifully and even when painting a pale heather cover over dark red paint it only took 2 coats. Dulux wood paint only took one coat. I used 5 litres Of Valspar on our tiny spare room And less than 5 litres on our enormous bedroom which is 19x20 feet. Valspar is expensive and of terrible quality and yet B&Q have had an awful lot of publicity for the ā€œtransformativeā€ new relationship they have. I can only assume that B&Q make more money on valspar than they do on competitor paints. From now on I’ll be buying other brands from somewhere where they stock a variety of brands. I’ve been using dulux and Annie Sloane wall paint (which still worked out cheaper despite the high price tag because as with dulux you need very little) and those rooms look amazing. I’ll be painting over the valspar paint as soon as I’ve finished the other rooms I’ve got a lot of experience in decorating (I used to renovate houses) and I’ve never used paint as poor quality as this. If B&Q want to keep customers they really should consider partnering with a brand that achieves decent results.

I Bought 2 lengths of kitchen unit plinths, cost £12.00 each. After I cut them to length (the longest 1 meter) I noticed that it has started to curve (bow) along its length. While it's still useable it is unsightly. I am VERY disappointed. My advice is not to buy this product and buy the more expensive plinths.

I ordered a new saw on Saturday and received an email saying they'd deliver on Monday (this company promises next day delivery). Monday came and went and no saw. So I rechecked the email and noticed it said Monday the week after! So basically I'm going to have to wait a full week for something they promised would be here next day (which I needed for a job). I called customer services and after waiting ages, the woman I talked to (while polite) was completed useless and couldn't change my order to be delivered sooner. Over all I'm extremely irritated, nothing should take over a week to be delivered from a UK company in this day and age, especially when they promise next day! Oh and they refused to cancel the order. I certainly won't be ordering from them again.

Took about 6 hours of phone calls to B&Q to get an item transferred from one branch to another. First I called my local branch then was advised to call headquarters. The chap I spoke to first on the HQ number said there was no such thing & fobbed me off telling me to phone Screwfix - after an hour of prevaricating. I did this pointless call & then phoned B&Q back. The second chap immediately said I needed an 'Iinterbranch transfer' & then it took 2 further long calls to the branches to get it sorted. Calls took a long time as 'managers' had to be located etc.& I was told to call the wrong branch first to arrange the transfer.

Much Too Expensive First I must say you can't fault the staff, but many of their prices are way too expensive e.g. unibond clear silicon bathroom sealer was a few pence short of £10. Where as I have since seen similar product elsewhere for £3+. Well the old adaged, one caught twice shy, will apply for me when shopping at B&Q in future. Also, as a senior citizen I have already seen them take away our 10% discount for so called better pricing - who are they kidding - And, as for their own brand dial products, many are below par, in particular, don't waste your money on their white spirits because it's useless.

My new kitchen is lovely, however a 10 day delay re delivery and 3 weeks with no kitchen does not seem to be that important to B n Q. Changing your ranges needs to be something you tell the customer at point of sale, not 1 day before delivery is due.

This is the second time I have been into your Halifax store in the last 6 months to get some Valspar paint mix ( I needed a litre for touching up ) only to be told again that you had run out of ā€˜Base A’ so again I had to buy 2.5 litres a size which I didn’t really need . Is this a ploy to upscale sales ? Also your Trade Point card is useless to the small tradesperson , no discount unless spending thousands . Wickes have got it right , 10% off anything with no minimum spend . Not happy with B&Q

Beware! B&Q kitchen furniture is NOT waterproof. After 2 years a couple of doors on our £16000 kitchen had swollen. We claimed on the product warranty in December 2018. After much chasing, the so-called "aftercare" team announced after five months that the damage was not covered by the warranty.

We haven't even had our delivery yet and things aren't boding well. 2 weeks to wait for a standard item. Absolutely no choice in delivery options and we will only be told the two hour time slot the night before the delivery is due so no time to rearrange meetings at work. Very unhelpful and inflexible.
