On visiting the Fleatsbridge Poole B&Q today 17/03/18. To pick up a Log storage shed we’d seen previously on a visit. We could not find the pack in the Gardening section, so we went to see the two people on the Help and Advice desk to ask. The lady we asked didn’t seem interested or very helpful. And said the shed was only available online. Didn’t look it up, or offer to book one for us. Just said oh you can order it yourself. We thought strange and on looking in 5he garden section found about 20 stacked up. Poor show.

i brought a gainsborough e50 shower exclusive to b and q (which is bull to start with as you can buy it anywhere) after paying plumber and electrician to fit it ,, its the worst thing i have ever brought ,when in cold weather you need it hotter it will only come out luke warm and or the overheat pressure lights come on and the chucks out cold water ,i paid the plumber to come back as the book talks about low pressure ,he has adjusted the pressures and makes no difference ,and further in the book it states in cold weather your shower maybe just warm ,,more like bloody freezing ,,its in cold weather you want it warmer and the worst thing i brought it a while back and dont have the reciept which is not there fault but i have shelled out about 300 to have it fitted and for them to come back to adjust it and now i will have to pay again to have it removed and a different one fitted and refuse to have this model so it will be have to all be changed to around to have something else fitted and pay again i reckon with a different shower and new fitting i will be into £1000

We purchased 5 boxes of the black Trentie wall tiles. We had to sort through all 200 tiles as many were scratched due to there being no paper between each tile. We had 2 usable boxes of tiles and took the others back to the store. The first Male assistant told us they are cheap and you get what you pay for! Thank goodness for Jill, who he delegated the job of finding 120 usable tiles to. And she missed her break because of it. We discovered all the boxes had the same problem and finished up removing the first 2 tiles from each box as they were the best. Yes I know they aren’t the most expensive tiles but they still have to be fit for purpose by law. I suggest B&Q remove all the black ones from sale immediately, so no-one else loses a whole afternoon sorting through them. P.S. I bought them because I like them, not because they are cheap. They’re a nice looking tile poorly packaged.

longwell green store- on 2 occasions we have checked online if items are in stock only to find when we get there the staff are unable to locate the items though they can confirm via computer they have them! We have asked if we can order these items and told no they are stocktaking. 2 wasted journeys are enough, will now shop elsewhere.

I had a £15,000 kitchen fitted around five years ago, which initially we were pleased with. However, two issues have arisen; Firstly, and most disappointingly, where two sections of the earthstone worktops were joined has now come apart, with the joint very visible. I have logged a complaint but have had no response at all. I find this quite shoddy having spent this amount of money only recently. Secondly, three of the downlighters stopped working due to a fault with an led driver. B&q tell us that they do not stock or support accessories and could not advise us where to get an appropriate replacement, and we have had to go elsewhere to find a new driver, at considerable cost.

They do very good soil for potting up but they have removed all of it for Xmas items. And they usually fail to keep their plants in good condition - so much so, that they gave me a discount on some I bought as they need the tlc I gave them when I got them home.

We ordered a bathroom, after using them for a kitchen installation the previous year, where to be honest they were not too bad. This time their customer service was terrible. None of the promised letters advising us of the process were sent and we had to ring them, and despite this the letters were still not sent. I was then advised the bathroom delivery would take place between 10-12am by text, and took time off work, only for it to arrive at 2.30pm, and again only after I chased them. On the first day of installation I remained at home until the installer arrived at 12am, which meant another half day off work. I would have expected them to arrive at 8am to 9am, especially given the amount the actual installation is costing. Would not use them again.

I ordered my new bathroom from B&Q and also had all internal doors replaced. Before sales service very good but downhill from there. My house is small, my neighbour let me use her bathroom so I kept well out of the way. The delivery was dreadful, delivery man, he got nasty threatened to call police and sue me because I have CCTV and in his words 'I was videoing him without his permission (yes I have a sign up so I comply with the law). I reported him to B&Q. The delivery of 10 doors and 1 bath was made into my lounge, the tiles, door handles etc were put in the outside shed which has no light in it. 9 out 10 doors delivered were wrong size, door handles for bathroom and toilet were round not lever type handles. The shower door had damage to the top, so had to have another one delivered. Now for the tiles: The Oscano pebble tiles looked to go together in the store with the feature Oscano split face tiles, but when they were put up they are brown and the split face tiles are grey. The only light they look reasonable in is when it's wet, miserable and very dull outside, other than that they look horrible. I have been to B&Q and they've said that since they're now fitted there's nothing they can do.

They didn't. There wasn't enough staff to ask or to help with my simple request for accessories about a Basin mixer.

Hi I just wanted to warn anyone thinking of buy bulky furniture that needs delivery, from B & Q I ordered a clothing storage unit on 14th August 2017 , it contained 8 packages to be delivered by Parcel Force. I paid for everything on online 14-08-17 and delivery was booked for 21 Aug. Well only 5 packages delivered by Parcel Force I contacted B & Q about undelivered packages , apparently Parcel Force tried to deliver on 22-08-17 we'll forgive me for not realising 22 is the new 21. Delivery rearranged for 25th Aug delivery never arrived, called B & Q again on 26th Aug due to their unhelpful nature in taking responsibility for making sure the customer receives, customer excellence in all dealings with them, I cancelled my order and requested a full refund. Collection was arranged for 1st Sept can you guess what happened, you got it no refund and no collection was made . Called again refund should have taken no more than 5 working days. Was told they would get the remaining packages delivered and would arrange something and call me back , that was on 9th Sept still waiting and I have boxes of a unit blocking up my place. So please think carefully if you need to order furniture best to go with a company that, has their Own delivery team or at least uses a decent courier company. My next move will be to contact trading standards in regards to this shambolic non service. Beware KB

i find the service of delivery and customer service at B&Q pretty poor. in store, B&Q staff can be pretty dogmatic, for example when trying to but something off a high shelf was told that even though item was visible to us, there was no member of staff free to actually physically get if off the shelf for us and therefore we couldn't purchase it!! . Recently we have dealt with deliveries from many large appliance and kitchen item suppliers, including Hotpoint, appliances direct, Hughes and various other online suppliers. and our experience of large deliveries from B&Q in the past few months (Kitchen units/ doors). Our experience of ordering larger orders for delivery from B&Q has been poor. particularly the cost of delivery under £250. Long lead time on orders, there is a very large time window given, No tracking offered so we have had to take time off work. Why can other companies manage these things but NOT B&Q? I wouldn't mind if the products were exclusive or exeptional quality but it is definately not the case on our experience. Come on B&Q be more competitive, show us hat we matter and catch up with other suppliers.

"After spending at least an hour filling my basket up with items I needed for ongoing projects in our house I found that B&Q cannot deliver 3 sheets of hardboard because I have not spent over £100 on bulk items. Despite the total of my complete order being over £160! What a con. Another way for big companies to make money out of unsuspecting customers. Funnily though, I could go to my local B&Q and pick up all the items I ordered if I had a vehicle large enough to carry the hardboard. Not impressed. Most companies have a minimum order which I accept but this is just daylight robbery. Dont use them

Not very happy with B&Q, I feel without any doubt that your prices are getting dearer every time i go there i had to buy a 2.5Ltr tin of Ronseal decking stain to finish my daughters decking off.. the price on the shelf is £27! to say i was shocked is an understatment. its strange because the last 2 tins i bought at another retailer was £12.99 YES!! TWELVE pounds 99p.that is more than half the price of the B&Qs..put another way a tin in B&Q £27... 2 Tins i bought at another retailer £25.98. What makes my blood boil is does anyone really think that a retailer is selling a tin of Ronseal decking stain at £12.99 and not making a very decent profit? i'v bought a lot of goods over the years at B&Q but will definitely be looking to shop elsewhere in the future, very unhappy shopper who knows we are beeing ripped off by BIG Business AGAIN.
