“UTTER RUBBISH I purchased a speaker from what looked to be a UK website, complete with UK address, phone numbers and emails. I then find that the item I ordered is coming from the Netherlands. THEN UPS - Bax courier - informs me that I have to pay £104 import duty (50% of the value of the product I bought and 50% more than it would cost me to purchase elsewhere. I phoned the numbers on the website I used to make the purchase to hear a recorded message saying the number is no longer in use. I emailed their customer support and as yet I have had no reply. I have been trying to get UPS to return the item but that cannot do that from the UK. I have now TWO WEEKS LATER had no choice but to pay the import duty in the hope that once I receive the speaker I can return it to Bax for a refund.”

“Having played pedal steel guitar in the past, on Fender, Sho-Bud and Marlen guitars I was interested to see how well I could obtain the I-IV-V changes on my lap steel – a converted Telecaster – the equivalents of the AB PSG pedals, with the Certano T-Bender B&G Bender Bridge for Telecasters. It’s a very well-made & designed addition to the Tele, and fitting it was about as simple as you could get for a precision accessory. I can understand that it would be expensive to produce but I appreciate the discount Bax was offering, so I went for it. So for those who may not know, with an open D (or E) tuning the second string raised a whole tone and the third string raised a half tone and the palm levers pressed simultaneously, you should get the PSG I-IV-V chord changes on a lap steel – theoretically: I haven’t mastered pressing the two levers together to their full extent yet, one moving further with the whole tone, and one less so with the half tone change, so I miss mashing the PSG A & B pedals with my feet and the control I used to get. Maybe that’s down to me, but for the moment I’m a bit disappointed on that score. However, using the palm levers individually gives great scope for tone changes like a Sus4 and adds interest and versatility to the lap steel, which I am enjoying exploring. Whether that is enough for me to keep the Certano B&G Bender Bridge I’m not sure, but for now I will keep practicing, and perhaps lower my expectations – and improve my technical ability. HN”

“Horrendous. I bought a bass for £491. The bass needed to be returned for repair. It was gone 3 monhts and returned (after pushing) without the rapair completed. I sent back again for a replacement to be sent. The replacement never came. I have chased and chased for over 6 months. Offer of voucher came and then was withdrawn when I accepted. Awful. I can not believe a company can act this way in this age. £491 is a significant amount of money. Fraudsters. Do not use.”

“I had always had good experiences with this shop, however that was before I experienced their absolutely abysmal excuse for customer service. Frankly, if they cannot be bothered to answer a simple email, then I cannot be bothered to buy a £525 guitar from them.”

“excellent value headphones the samson 850 they do actualy sound pretty dam good and are comfortable on my ears to whether they are audiofhile i dont know and dont really care as already said they the sound ok to me good solid bass and likewise for the midrange and treble all good cannot fault them especially for the asking price i am well pleased.”

“Great value for the price l wanted a mod project and this guitar is ideal, no sharp frets pick ups sound good. The neck is cheap but ok machine heads do work, trem is good overall a guitar 🎸 to be a workhorse just add better hardware!”
