Great beer selection. Let down again by problems with actually delivering the beer ordered

The beer and communication was first class. However, the beer was delivered by U.K. Mail and left unattended outside a back door, apparently signed for by someone with the same surname as myself. I cannot order again because of the courier service. Just not good enough.

Ordered the GBBF Bottle beer case and some other beers. 1st i received just three beers then had to chase it up for the others received the the GBBF Bottle beer case then two beers on my order did not receive at all.Not overly impressed.

My biggest complaint is the ludicrous amount of packaging used to deliver my order. The main item - 15 prize winning bottles of beer- was fine. However, the rest of the order came separately. Itself annoying as I had to make delivery available on three occasions. Another two enormous boxes with one or two items in them. One size fits all is clearly the policy whether you order one or fifteen items, with no consideration for the environment or waste of energy and resources. The sort of thing that makes me value the High Street except of course, this item would be difficult to source there. If the company could resolve this issue I might use them again. They would need to advertise the fact though.

Didn't receive my order. Did get a refund though and pretty quickly. Probably would try someone else next time for reliability.

Delivery took a long time, when I chased it up it was dispatched that day, but with no explanation as to why it took so long. Part of my order was incorrect, this was rectified relatively quickly though.

I bought 2 of the advent calendars as gifts, which the recipients were both initially delighted with! Unfortunately, the bottles had all fell out of place, so had to be removed. Great beers, but the calendar part wasn't functional

The product was fantastic, but dealing with the company was painfull. I didn't receive any confirmation, delivery or dispatch e-mails and had to phone on several occasions to try to get this information. I was told I'd be contacted by the delivery company, which I wasn't. It wasn't delivered on the day I selected and had taken off. It was just chance it turned up when I was at home. Just, unfortunately poor service that contracts with the great product.

Not the smoothest transaction unfortunately! After a week, they still hadn't arrived and I decided to call Beer Hawk! They explained that 2 bottles were out of stock and that's why the order was on hold!! Surly they should have contacted me regarding this issue! I was asked if I'd like a refund or beer tokens! As I am a 1st time customer I had no idea how the tokens are used so settled for a refund! Anyway, I was told that the beer would be with me soon and that I could track it! Sadly the delivery driver was unable to deliver because he couldn't find the me! All that was on the label was my name, the name of the village and postcode (lots of businesses and households use the same post code). I had entered the full address when ordering and given a contact number! I had to contact the courier and arrange to have the packages delivered again. I gave them a contact number, which wasn't given to them by Beer hawk! At last they're here! Not sure if I'll be using Beer Hawk again! On the plus side, the bottles were very securely packed and arrived without any breakages!

Ryan, Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the issue. We changed our warehouse software and a glitch in the system meant that some orders were sent with incorrect labels. This has now been resolved and will not happen again. Regards Stu

Purchased the beer advent calendar and opened the first door, only to find that the bottle have slipped out of their retainers, so very difficult to pull out. On further inspection almost all of the beers are out of their cardboard retainers. I had to cut open the back of the box to get the beers out. I did contact Beer Hawk regarding this problem and I sent photos of a the box and to give them credit were due, they did give me a full refund.

I have purchased items from this company twice and on both occasio there have been communication issues. After the purchase you get several emails confirming payment etc but where they let themselves and customers down is with a total lack of information in the delivery of their products. On both occasions I have had to chase the delivery and to say that their customer service team are vague is an understatement although that may not be their fault. However once received I cannot fault the quality of their products for the selling price

I ordered the Beer Advent Calendar as a gift for my boyfriend. I was impressed that I could specify the delivery date. I am a teacher and can't take time off obviously so chose a date in half-term. Then I received an email to say the calendar would be delayed. I rang to ask what would happen. We agreed this would be delivered on a Saturday however one Friday at 7.30am I received both a text and email so say the calendar would be delivered that day. There was nothing I could do - the calendar had already been despatched. Fortunately, a neighbour happened to be in and took delivery for me. I am less than impressed with the despatch and delivery service needless to say. My boyfriend loved the gift and has ordered two as presents for friends and family. It is for this reason that I have rated three stars otherwise it would have been less. Beer Hawk need to take greater effort with customer service. I remain unsure as to whether I would order from this company again. There are many supplying craft beer products and with high levels of competition I will shop around in future.

Great products but very poor communication. It appears that the company was moving it's warehouse and there was no logistical management as far as dealing with existing and new orders was concerned. Several phone calls seemed to produce little or no result. Email communication was very delayed as was my delivery which took three separate deliveries over 10 days from the first package arrival to the third package arriving. None were delayed by the carrier as is evidenced by the despatch dates on the boxes. This is the worst example of negative customer care that I have ever experienced.

Hi Duncan, you're right, unfortunately we haven't been performing at our best recently because of our warehouse move and the increase in customer enquiries during the Christmas period. The good news is, now we're settled in, we have resumed our normal speedy service and can provide an even bigger range of beers from around the world! beer great, problem with the case of Halloween beer that I ordered on the 20th of oct ready for a party on the 29th phoned on the 27th will my beer be deliver in time ans yes sorry about delay be with you fri 28th no beer when I got home phoned sat 29th am still no beer !!! it will be with you this morning , then message form delivery frim we will be delivering your beer between 4 and 5pm not a lot of good to me has I was leaving to go to party at 12,30 pm ,girl on phone offered to £5 of beer tokens but as I not got an account not a lot off good to me but I do appreciate the offer still not sure what to do with beer regard's N D

Delay in delivery due to warehouse issues. Was offered discount on future purchase but I would have expected this to have been offered on the current purchase rather than expecting me to buy more to redeem offer.

The product was delayed and only offered 1/2 the delivery charge as compensation. This was for a gift and did not come in time which was disappointing. However there was a good mix of beers and value for money.

Good website. Nice range of beers. Service wasn't great. Took ages before i got an email from them saying they were in middle of moving warehouse and they had lost my email - they'd taken my money! Even then it took ages for delivery to turn up. when it came - well packed and nice beer. good price. I'm happy to try them again - this could have been a one off. shame there wasn't any comms about the move on the website or on ordering.
