DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM BENSONS FOR BEDS. I ordered 2 bedside tables online, I was given a delivery date which wasn't convenient as I was at work, I phoned to change this date (which took about 40 minutes to get through) to a Monday morning, my items were not delivered and I wasn't contacted to inform me of this, I phoned again (which took about 30-40 minutes) for them to say that my items where not in stock, I then received another delivery date, and yet again items were not delivered and I received no phone call to inform me of this, yet another phone call to the customer services who informed me that items were taken off the lorry,I was given yet another delivery date and I was informed that a VIP was put on the order so I should definitely receive them, as you can guess items still not delivered. I sent numerous emails, and was told that I could get compensation once issue was resolved. Because of all the above I cancelled my order and my money was refunded. I emailed them to enquire about compensation for all the wasted time, phone calls and appalling service, but they said because I had cancelled my order (only because they didn't want to deliver it) I wasn't entitled to any unless I provided proof of phone calls and letter from Human Recourses for any time I had taken off work. I cannot believe the appalling service I have received and wouldn't recommend the to anyone

Disgusting company rude manager at the Basingstoke store in Harvey’s they guy is total ..... hours and hours wasted on the phone about my late delivery + missing parts. Avoid them go to dreams

Terrible service after faulty bed was hard sold from their bespoke range. They must get a big commission for these cheap and nasty beds

Up until the delivery of the wardrobe and chest drawers everything was fine. During the delivery the driver said they could not take the larger part of the wardrobe upstairs as it did not fit and could not be dismantled as the back panel was stapled. He said I needed to contact the company. I spoke to Bensons and the customer service rep was very helpful and said he would look into this. Bensons called back as promised but the customer service rep was extremely unhelpful and unco-operative. She said she contacted the supplier and there's nothing they can do as the wardrobe was glued together and then stating it's my responsibility to check it can fit and then added they have a no returns policy. I said there was no mention on their website that the wardrobe would be part built and all it said there was free assembly on site. She then just repeated herself several times before I terminated the call. She offered no resolution at all to help a customer - the company needs more awareness and training of good customer service and have shirked their responsibility, which I am surprised as they are a nationwide company. I have used this company several times before but won't be in the future.

Ordered a single divan base from Aintree store at beginning of January. Delivery date was 14 th January. Had two phone calls today from driver saying he would be with me between 12 and 3pm. Then a 3rd call to say he didn't have my bed on the van and he didn't know where it was ! Rang the warehouse but was met with an answer phone which said they were busy and to ring back later. Then cut me off. Rang Aintree store and they said they would sort it and ring me back. They didn't. Went down to the store and they said they had emailed the warehouse ! They could not give me any assurances I would get my bed so I cancelled it and bought one from Dreams at less than half the price. I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered from Bensons. If I could have given them no stars I would have done. I won't be buying anything else from this store and will warn family and friends about my experience.

Avoid at all costs. Bed arrived damaged and all attempts at contacting them have been ignored, including an email to their chief executive. Put old mattress straight into their van unprotected - contamination YUK.

My husband and I had just entered the store at the Peel Centre in Stockport and wanted to have a good look around at the different beds and mattresses. We were approached by a very pushy salesman, we said we didn't want any help and wanted to look around without being mithered. We carried on looking and my husband was commenting to me how he hates being mithered in shops which I agree. The salesman returned to us in a very aggressive manner and said he just wanted us to not try all the beds. I said to my husband that we would leave as he was very confrontational, and he told us to get out of the store and they didn't need our business. All we wanted to do was look around. No wonder businesses are going out of business. As we left a couple who overheard, commented on how rude the salesman was. We went directly to the Dreams store and spent quite a lot of money. We will never go to Benson's again.

6 week delay from promised delivery date. Now have bed but customer services ignoring my (multiple) emails. Fobbed off with different stories about how the bed was at a different depot etc, when it was actually not even in the UK. Very poor customer service. ( I had submitted a positive trust pilot review after initial purchase as staff member was very informative but after sales service is deplorable)

a nightmare with Benson for Beds from the Start. I went into the showroom and tested out an iGel mattress and was so impressed with the mattress support and comfort that I bought 2 x King size and 1 x double. but when I received them, one of the king size mattresses was completely different feel from the other king size and different from the showroom one. I went to the store to complain and was advised that the mattress had to settle. I advised them that the mattress was too soft and that it dipped in the middle and was like sitting in a bucket and it felt different from the other mattresses which I bought, and the other mattresses had more support and you did not sink in the middle. after many phone calls and been kept on the phone for over 2 hours at a time and been charged large amounts of money by my telephone provider, Benson for beds sent someone round to inspect the mattress but his account of events was different from mine and I had proof of CCTV but even with this proof Benson for beds said they had to go with the report and the report said the mattress was not faulty even though I had footage of the person struggling to get off the mattress as the mattress is too soft and sinks in the middle. Benson for beds said I can change the mattress but had to pay 10% charge and the difference towards another mattress. I told them I wanted the same mattress that has the same consistency as the other mattresses I bought and the one in the store. but for me to do this I would have to pay extra £200. Benson for beds rarely responds to emails and you are kept on the phone for over 2 hours at a time. I have approached the furniture ombudsman for assistance but after reading reviews I do not hold much hope as it seems like the ombudsman mostly sides with Benson for Beds. and after reading other reviews it looks like this is a common issue with this mattress and that the inspector sent out always says no fault with mattress as he works for Benson for Beds. if I could start over looking for a mattress I would not go to Benson for Beds as they are only interested in profit. I would not recommend buying from Benson for beds as if things go wrong it will cost a fortune to try and resolve

Don’t order anything from benson for beds. I’ve had a nightmare with their service from the store. Customer service and delivery I ordered a wardrobe before Christmas has being told 3 times it would be 100% delivered before Christmas by the staff and manager so I paid cash there and then and was told they would ring me with a delivery date. Didn’t hear from store so I rang them to see what date was and to be told it wouldn’t be delivered before Christmas and I shouldn’t of been told that. Was told it would be delivered after Boxing Day to which it then couldn’t and was given another date in January every time the store told me they would ring me back they didn’t I had to keep ringing them to chase things up. The service has been awful. Today they came to deliver the wardrobe to which they couldn’t as the glass doors where all shattered so a failed delivery and I rang customer service after hanging on for 45 minutes TIL they answered to which the guy put me through to distribution centre as he said he can’t do anything and I spoke to lady who can’t do anything either until Monday and couldn’t put me through back to customer service so I had to re ring them and after holding on for over an hour for another guy to tell me he couldn’t talk to me as on the delivery sheet it has MR on it so he would only talk to my partner and wouldn’t put my through to someone higher and when I told him I’d already spoke to someone at customer service and they had put me through to distribution centre he said basically I was lying which is a disgrace I am so unhappy with this company I’d never shop with them again and I will be getting legal advice as I have been given the run around by this company I’ll also tell my family and friends not to shop with them either. I am still awaiting to hear what they are going to do as I’ve paid for a wardrobe which I still don’t have

Awful customer service all around from management in store and at there customer service. I ordered wardrobes which arrived on 17/11/18 unfortunately there was key parts missing and the wardrobes were not the best quality. However the workmen assured me the parts will reach my home and I will have complete set. 2 weeks I hear nothing call customer service after a 2 hour hold and get told they will be collected and I will be refunded. I Hear nothing for a week so I call again only to be that I was missadvised and the person who works there had been fired which I found irrelevant, the person did not resolve my situation in turn told me we are going round in circles. So I request a manger call back which was one call attempt by a “Scott” despite explaining I work they couldn’t even call me at a time which was appropriate. So forward 2 further calls, 3 calls to the store and it bring 2019 January. I still have the incomplete wardrobes whilst they my money and not even one step close to resolving this. A nightmare.

We paid cash for a King Size Divan on 11/11/2018 and were told delivery would be on 04/12/2018. About a week before the delivery we were contacted and told delivery had been changed to 12/12/2018. We were then contacted again to say delivery would be on 20/12/2018 and again on Sat. 23/12/2018 between 7am - 1pm. We were up early on the 23rd to disassemble our old bed which we had paid to be taken away. We were contacted around 10am by the delivery driver (an Eastern European who could barely speak English) and we couldn't understand what he was trying to tell us. He eventually turned up with the mattress and half of the divan! The other half was missing. By then we had had enough of Bensons and told him we did not want the bed and would go to the shop to get our money back, which we did. Will never use Bensons again.

The order arrived 9 months after we ordered it. First attempt broken. Second attempt wrong colour. Third attempt they forgot to actually reordered despite you had even rebooked the deliery with us. 6 months telling us that there would a compensation for all the stress caused and all you offer is 75 pounds when my Wife has lost 400 pounds for the two failed deliveries.it’s disgusting the lack of profesionalism you have shown once you had the money in your pocket.

We purchased full divan set with mattress. After less than 20 months the mattress springs have failed on one side. Despite sending 5 emails and spending over 3 hours waiting on their customer service line 0333 222 6800, nobody answered. No replies from emails sent. Spoke direct to Poole Dorset branch who were no help whatsoever. They just advised to email or call customer services despite the fact they sold me the divan set. We are still paying monthly for a product that has failed and Benson for Bed WILL DO NOTHING to help us. This company is SHAMBOLIC. Never Again!!!

Customer service is terrible. Wait in a que for nearly 3hours and still no answer. Emailed,still no returned call. We have paid nearly £2000 for a TV bed to have electrical faults, The frame is also damaged. When i finally got through to customer service her reply was" send me photos" how do i send photos of electrical problems. Her reply well you need to ring the manufactures and sort it with them.!!!! Never recommend or use Bensons again.

My partner and I purchased a divan bed paid over a thousand pound for the bed for it to get delivered and ourselves having to carry it upstairs and put it together even though we paid extra for it to be put together and taken upstairs. Really disgusted to then come across going to use the draw on the bed for the first time for it to be broken seems to be a manufacturing fault can't even use the draw. Now the matter of trying to get in touch for weeks and they can't be bothered to do anything about it. It's really disgusting, would not recommend this company to anybody.

Wow wish there was a 0 star possibility. We paid 3000 for a new tv bed was due to be delivered on 28/12/2018. They then changed to the 03/01/2019.turned up nearly on time with tv mattress and mattress protector!!! Where's the bed oh we don't have that it happens all the time and we get embarrased said the driver!!!!!! Call customer services 45 minute queue wait will get supplier to call you it's in stock no call received called Benson's Again today 45 minute call wait and no bed till 09/01/2019!!! Lovely we are now on a mattress for over a week brilliant !!!!! Disgusting your company is a disgrace and I will.make sure everyone I know hears About it DISGUSTING

On arriving at the Workington store we were greeted by Helen. She was very attentive without being over bearing. Her knowledge was very comprehensive about each mattress I should try. I was left to browse and try each mattress at leisure, but Helen was there when needed. Excellent customer service from the Workington store! I finally purchased an I Gel mattress.

Worst mattress ever had. It sugged in 3 months, after my complain they sent a FIRA inspector who said everything was ok. Complete waste of money! £700 in the bin. AVOID!
