Absolutely disgusting customer service, paid £1800 for a bed this arrived when it was scheduled to arrive no problem, the delivery guy did have a bad hygiene and could still smell him when he left, however on the bed being built and the guys leaving the leg and base are faulty, tried calling customer service to be met with a waiting time of 70minutes, emailed on a few occasions to receive no reply, went into the shop for them to be able to do nothing, finally after nearly 2 hours on hold to customer service they have passed my details to a company called FARA, we will see if the base and leg is replaced or if anyone actually gets in touch Will never buy from here again I should of read all these reviews before buying from here.

I wouldn't bother buying from this company. We paid over £2k for a new bed and mattress in Nov, they delivered a faulty bed base. It took 4 weeks for them to organise a visit to swap out the fault item. On the morning of them coming out they rang to say the item wasn't ready and they wouldn't be coming. Thanks Benson for Beds that cost me a days work as I'm self employed not that you'd give a flying F about it. I've tried on numerous occasions to contact their customer service number everytime the call queue is a wait of up to 45 mins asked for a ring back and never got one. Then complained to the shop we bought it from to get told there is nothing they can do.... They're quick to take your money but absolutely appalling in dealing with an customer services issues. Do not buy anything from this company they are useless. It's about time watchdog or another consumer rights programme did a report on them as they are shocking!

If I could give no stars I would. I had a 2 months old mattress when it's all started. I managed to get a hold of customer service after several days of trying as the holding time were close to 3 hours. I do believe it is just to get everyone stop trying to contact them. As far as I knew they were gonna send someone out to look at the mattress. I waited 2 weeks, nothing happened. I called them again. After several days of trying again as I won't hold for almost 3 hours got a hold of them and I got told that they have no records or log of me calling and filing a complaint. So I filed a complaint again waiting for the technician to contact me. He came out a few days later. As he filed a report he asked me if I'm ok with it I said yes as it stated that the mattress got wholes in it and it is noticeable with bare eyes. 2 days leather I got an email that the company won't do anything as there is no problem with the mattress. I contacted customer service again exlplaning that the mattress is 3 months d now and unusable. I got a spine condition and cannot sleep on it. I got told there is nothing they can or would do. I just trough almost £400 pound into the bin. This is a joke. I will contact the ombudsmen.

Never buy anything from Benson, they have no customers service at all once they have taken your money. The customer service and the Antony in the kings lynn store was disgusting they are so rude it was unbelievable. They spoke to me like I was 5 years old, and were patronising beyond belief. I am totally disgusted by their attitude. Basically you will not get your money back if it’s no good and their training must be once we have taken their money tell them to get stuffed if they call.

After spending time in store choosing my mattress I looked forward to the delivery promises, having given clear instructions regarding position of property etc. According to the driver, challenging to engage with, he was never given them. After changes in times and many calls, and an experience I do not wish to repeat, the mattress has gone back to the depot. I await a refund as I have no desire to engage with the delivery people again. I feel for the store staff who do a decent job to ensure all goes smoothly, but they are up against it in my view.

Mattress sagged within one year. Independent inspector advised not faulty, when clearly/visually there was ... £650 wasted . After sales shocking just visit their Facebook page for true feedback

Ordered a bed for my son’s Christmas present. Picked the last delivery date near Christmas. My hubby took the day off work. It came around 5pm with a part missing. I had to ring them during the day as they wouldn’t speak to him as my name was on the paperwork. This wasn’t easy as I was working. Was on hold for ages. So my son had to sleep in the floor that night. Tried to call the next morning only to be told it was a 103 minute wait! Rang the shop to ask them to sort it. They were reluctant but did. Eventually was told the missing part would be delivered Xmas eve but no time slot given. We cancelled our Xmas eve plans to ensure we were in and my little boy would get his present completed. Then guess what? They ring and say they can’t frliver today as they’ve not got the part. I’m livid. Two days ruined by their bad service. I’m upset and angry. Not good service.

I ordered and paid for a mattress on Monday and was told it would be delivered on Friday since there was one in the warehouse. I received a text on Wednesday confirming delivery between 7am and 1pm on Friday. I contacted the number in the text at approximately 12 05 on Friday to check. I was told that it wouldn't be delivered since it wasn't in stock. I was referred to customer services. Such a rude uncaring agent called Carl who gave me a reference *5 for the call. He couldn't understand why I was angry?????? I then contacted the store where I had placed the ordered. Whilst the lady was apologetic it was little comfort to me since I am now without a mattress for guests over Christmas. Does anyone in the company consider informing customers that delivery will not be made on the day? I took a half day from work for the delivery. Basically customer services said it's not being delivered and won't be before Christmas so accept it. This is not the level of service I expect or accept whether the item costs £1 or £1,000. I have requested a refund and will take my custom elsewhere.

Pretty much everything...promises of deliveries that were then cancelled, ridiculous waiting time on the phone to talk to Customer Service and then misinformation. Then no delivery at all as a 'box was missing'.......now need to decide whether to look for a refund or stick with it and look for compensation for the days taken off work waiting for promised deliveries that never arrived. The salesman hinted that this might happen....perhaps that should have rung alarm bells. It is shame there isn't a negative star option..... a bit like a blacklist star rating to save others making the same mistake.

Ordered 2 beautiful wardrobes online and it was buy more than 1 item get a 20% discount. One wardrobe had a cracked mirror, that's fine, these things happen. Built the ok one and realised that the other one wouldn't fit in the space. Contacted Benson's who said this was fine, choose a smaller item, a letter will arrive and you take that to the store. The value of the item I was allowed to choose was nearly £100 less than the original I was returning. I phoned them as I thought they made a mistake but no, they don't honour the 20% if you alter an order. So I have a loan for the amount of the more expensive items that I have to pay for and I have to pay extra to get the smaller one as well. After arguing with a reprobate on the phone who point blank refused to put me into a manager he told me to contact the ombudsman or trading standards if I wasn't happy or cancel the order, which I did a they collected both wardrobes Inc the but one which we dismantled and I waited for it to be cancelled. I contacted them again as it's been over a week to be told that they only have 1 wardrobe in the warhouse. I assured them both have been collected and they have stated they will be another 5-10 days to find out what's happened. In the meantime I still need to pay the loan company until this is sorted out. Absolute joke of a company. I Will never deal with this company again and do not recommend them to anyone. Stay away from them.

The bed was not-assembled, even though we paid for that. The ottoman bed bases and lifting sections did not align for securing together. The bed base material was torn. They said that they would make us an undisclosed gift/ offer if we did not return the base - they never replied to our emails. Customer services was the worst I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. The ironic thing was that I went for the most expensive bed base in the Luton shop, to avoid any mishaps (£1000) that’s the funny thing.

Worst consumer experience I've ever had. 1. Couldn't complete the whole order by the date they set 2. When the did make "final" delivery, my order was incomplete plus they left parts of someone else's bed - I imagine there's at least one other unhappy customer! 3. Call centre wait times are about an hour 4. They don't call back when they say the will

DO NOT BOTHER!!! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT DON’T DELIVER YOUR ORDER! 3 weeks ago I ordered and paid the deposit for a mattress for delivery today. After 3 phone calls to try and find out where the mattress was I was finally been told that due to a system’s error they weren’t going to make the delivery today, in fact not till the 27th December. On top of that they weren’t going to inform me either!!! I then had to return to the shop because the young guy at customer service over the phone told me he was going to put me they his manager but instead kept me holding for 38 minutes! Once back in the shop i had to insist for them to call their own customer service! I’ve explained that I needed it for my disabled mother that was coming to stay with me over the Christmas holidays. When the employee in the shop called his superior he put forward my request for the mattress to be delivered by a courier, the superior asked FIRST for the value of my order (over £1,000) to then declined my request. SHAME ON YOU! I then cancelled my order and been told that I didn’t need a proof of the cancellation neither in paper form nor by email. Then the employee (clearly a junior even though I presumed he looked more like a senior) told me he wasn’t authorised to refund my deposit but I have to go back to the shop once again AND he wasn’t even sure whether the person authorised to do the refund was going to be there tomorrow or Friday!!! Their attitude toward customers is poor and disinterested. I’m not surprised at all that the shop is always empty.

In the past 3 months I have had 3 FIRA inspectors visit my house to confirm beds are faulty and their report has been sent to Benson's. I am still waiting for a response, but to be fair I have only sent 5 unanswered emails and 3 calls so there is still time!!!! The firm will go bust, as they ignore their customers and do not train their staff. Why is senior management not reading these reviews? Pity because their stores are not too bad. Beyond saving that even Mike Ashley wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

Worst ustomer service I have encountered in a long time. So busy dealing with queries they happily tell you their wait times on the phone are over an hour and they can’t reply to emails for weeks. Total disgrace . I emailed senior management and they did not bother to reply either. Do not buy anything from this shoddy company!

The sales man in store was great. The delivery men on the other hand was very disappointing, they came into my house and trailed mud all over and when I approached them all they said was sorry, I then put a rag down so they could wipe their feet going forward to reduce the mud (we already had a door mat down). They are suppose to put foot guards on. They have damaged the items which I witnessed them dropping in the garden to which now also have mud all over and is now on my bedroom carpet. They have damaged walls and left mud/water all over the walls where they have dragged the items upstairs. We also ordered a duvet and this was open and has mud all over the actual duvet which now cannot be used. After been on hold 40 minutes I decided to go to the store. The manager was on hold to the customer services team already for over an hour and 30 minutes as one of their own drivers had hit his car in the car park and drove off. He didn't get through to the team before he finished at 8pm so he is trying again today. When you spend over £1500 on a bed you expect a better delivery service. We have emailed pictures as instructed by the manager and are waiting on a response. Buying from Bensons isn't an issue but the delivery service is.

RECEIVED A DELIVERY ON 4TH DECEMBER. DESPITE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS WHICH HAVE MEANT WAITING UP TO 59 MINUTES ( I GAVE UP WHEN ADVISED MY CALL WOULD BE ANSWERED IN 136 MINUTS !!!) i HAVE PROVIDED PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGE TO THE GOODS WHICH THE DELIVERY MEN MARKED ON THEIR FROM THE PACKAGING WAS DAMAGED ! HAVE ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK BUT STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM. CUSTOMER SERVIE THEY CALL IT I WOULD CALL IT CUSTOMER DISSERVICE. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

Ordered a wardrobe and chest drawer. It took 5 weeks to arrive, and I was told it would cost £70 from an employee to construct both. During construction, I come to find out there are pieces missing for the chest drawer, and it’s going to cost £100 for both. Tried to call customer service, and decided to go in after 30 minutes of no answer. Now it’s been 5 weeks and the missing pieces have yet to arrive. I called them a week ago, they told me they’d get back to me in 2 days, yet no response. Absolutely pathetic.

Booked in delivery of a bed (which I had to take a day off work for). Was told to expect delivery between 7:00 - 13:00. 2:30pm comes and nothing, no delivery, no update. Eventually get a text from the driver around 4pm saying its on its way but that its pretty much missing most parts - did I still want it delivered? Well yes obviously as otherwise the day off is in vain. It eventually arrives, driver can do nothing to helo but says call customer services. Call the line and they put me on hold for 40mins and then eventually get through to a message saying the office is now closed!!!! Spend the next 2 days calling the customer service line and being out on hold for varying lengths of time such as 45 mins, a hour etc. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone in customer services at Bensons. I have tried live chat, email, everything and nothing. As a result I have spent a load of money at Bensons to receive part of a bed and not the foggiest idea where the rest is or when OR IF it will ever be delivered This is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with, avoid them like the plague.

Absolutely dreadful, worst Customer Service I've ever encountered. Ordered Bed, told day before delivery wouldn't be getting it, no explanation. Wasted 2 hours on phone just to find out why and when it would be delivered. Staff on Customer Service shockingly inept. Too many people are having similar experiences, how are they getting away with such blatant disregard for their Customers?. We should all notify Watchdog, might shake them up into sorting out the dire mess they are in. Store staff were lovely, it's a shame the delivery, customer services and everything else is a disgrace and clueless shambles. I just wish I'd seen these reviews, would never have gone there if I had.
