TERRIBLE customer service. 5 year warranty is worthless! They do not reply to calls or emails at all, they have admitted its faulty after 6 months and will replace with the same faulty mattress but we want a refund or a different mattress which they refuse even though they admit settlement and its costing us both a lot in physio, the 5 year warranty means nothing, they will send an engineer out with no time frame (full working day off work) to look at it for 3 seconds and say it looks in good condition and that he knows nothing about memory foam, clearly working in their pockets as they have admitted the settlement from the photos. Have been complaining for 5 months and still no refund or mattress and terrible manors.

We got one pillow called "iGel Temperature control pillow". The pillow smells very bad, Like mould. We returned the pillow to the store. We did not get refund. The staffs at the stores said they can not smell anything. I guess they will never use such pillow by themselves. But why they recommend us to buy such pillows (a staff who is around 60 years old)? Simple a bad staff or a bad company? Can not believe this kind of product is allowed to sell in the market. Very sad to see such things are happening. The Bensons for beds website does not let us to upload a review.

Delivery did not turn up at the appointed time after receiving a call from the delivery driver on the day of the delivery saying "your bed is not in the van and when we checked the warehouse yesterday we couldn't find it" was advised to speak to customer services so after a 25 minute wait spoke to customer services who seemed poorly trained and promised a call back as they didn't know why my bed hadn't been delivered yet failed to call me back. Wrote a lengthy email complaining yet still faced an uncertain new delivery date as I got a response from their delivery dept stating one date and another date from the customer services department. Eventually the bed got delivered but the headboard was damaged. A delivery date was arranged for a replacement headboard but again it never turned up. Bensons for beds in my opinion are a shambolic company and if you don't want needless aggravation do not buy a bed from them.

Diabolic in all departments ok when they are trying to sell the bed but after that it got worse as the weeks went on ordered the bed on 29.11.16 delv on the 14.12.16 which it was. We found the mattress was tooooo hard so on the 2.1.17 went in to arrange a softer mattress to be delivered on 25.1.17. Had a call on that morning to say it wasn't on the lorry it was lost!!!! 2weeks of phone calls to and from customer service (saying they were looking for it !!!!) I asked how long they would look for it before they ordered another they said 2 weeks most of the people I spoke to were no help what so ever they said I would get compensation I didn't !! Second mattress did turn up over 2 weeks later but when I asked fi they could be careful when taking it upstairs the English guy pushed a piece of paper in front of me and said they were NOT responsible for any damage done so more or else he didn't bother at all about being careful so upsetting then said he had no paper work and would not be allowed to collect the bed I had and take it back he did in the end as there was no room at all for 2 beds anywhere I suggest not using this firm awfull experience never will use these again and advise anyone that is thinking of using them t look elswhere

we had 2 failed deliverys then the delivery men got muddy footprints all over my new carpets,then a few months later one side of the gell mattress has failed and got a great big hole in it but apparently thats "normal" wear my last email from cs was verging on the rude we wont be ever buying from these again

We purchased a Divan King size bed for 2.500£ when the delivery guys arrived they refused to help me removing a small sized shelf from the floor despite the fact that I am pregnant and not allowed to lift heavy. They kept saying sorry we are not allowed and we will lose our bonus if we touch anything that isn't ours. I had tears in my eyes as I had to remove the shelf myself while being 7 months pregnant. These men were physically strong and it would have been easy for them to do it. However for me it was very difficult and I am suffering from severe pain ever since. Appalling greedy company who is quick in taking your money but rubbish service. Never again!

They sell mattress with 40 night try and never take it back. There technicians mark every problem as character of mattress and not manufacturing fault and they refuse to refund or return. I had a mattress, spend £1100 on it and it pressed from side by 3 cm in just 10 days, I reported it back and they send a technician who ask me many questions and then reported back that I didn't follow guidelines. (Guidelines which were never given to me) and they refuse that 40 night try as well which I should get after 10% deduction. Never recommend Bensons.

Terrible company that leaves their customers frustrated. I bought two mattresses and two bed from them over two months ago from Tottenham Court Road branch. The sales persons insist that the delivery will take just a few weeks after placing an order. So I guess they want to sell their product and get their commission without concerning the time and satisfaction of their customer at all. When I purchase the bed on 25th Jan 2017 they told me delivery would be four weeks, and I will receive mattress first on 8th of Feb, then two weeks after on 22nd of Feb, I am going to receive the bed frame (never happened). First, they send mattress to the wrong address initially and took almost 3 hours wasting my time to find the address. Then after going to the store to find out about the delivery of the bed frame at Tottenham Court Road branch, the guy told me we should have received a mail letter by now from the company regarding the delivery date (another lie) who does that, which company communicate with their customer through a letter. After waiting 8 weeks without a bed from the time of ordering, and constant lies, It is now reported that the store places the order month after I purchase (on 22 Feb) and because of that, they delay on the delivery and they can not do anything nor they can not give me an exact time for the delivery. After several phone calls to shop, customer service, someone said that they would ring us back - no one ever rang us back - we kept ringing to find out about delivery time. In the end, the company is not interested in dealing with customer complaints, very poor customer service skills, extremely unorganised delivery , No communication with customers what so ever. Will never shop at Benson for Beds ever again.

Absolute joke, bought a matteress six months ago. All good for the first few months and then we started to notice it sagging. We decided to buy a mattress topper just to save the headache, that has molded into the sag! Decided to raise a complaint, as by this stage we are sleeping in the spare room. They sent and inspector, they a piece of string with two weights over the mattress, and it's within the tolerances, nothing wrong! The bloody top layer of the matteress has separated from the springs, erm... no weight on it, of course it will rise! Called customer services, said that the report is final, I can go to the Ombudsman!! Got to buy a new mattress now as it's not worth the headache! Benson for beds should be ashamed of themselves!

After 14 weeks with out a bed from time of ordering, part delivery, constant lies - offer of £75 in vouchers ( never buying anything again from you ) or £50 off. Are you joking Bensons Ive paid out more in telephone calls, time off work waiting for non deliveries etc. Furniture Ombudsman it is, social media, print media, broadcasting media and anyone else who'll listen!!! Companies customer service, there is none! Even your delivery driver stated 'worse company in England ever to work for' 'I wouldn't buy anything from them' - Ive left out the swear words!!! Wouldn't recommend this company at all !

On the 2nd Jan 17 I placed an order for 2 wardrobes and a bed costing approx £1400. On the 27th Feb 17 (after waiting 8 weeks) my delivery arrived. After the driver offloaded (and dropped smashing parts) of someone else's delivery (not even realising it was the wrong item) they offloaded my bed and wardrobes. It was immediately noticeable that the mirror doors were smashed. I called Customer Services (CS) who told me to email the items we needed replacing. After going through there were 9 panels we noticed which meant we couldn't even build 1 of the wardrobes. I emailed the order to which I received no acknowledgement. So I called at 5pm knowing CS is only open 9-5:45 where the Advisor order the items whilst I was on the line. After 25 minutes on the phone I was told it would be 4-6 weeks before the replacement panels arrived. Not impressed £800+ on wardrobes that I would be waiting 3 months+ to be able to use. I wrote a complaint which again I've received no acknowledgement of and 4 days on I'm still waiting. I would really not recommend buying from this company

We bought a Edgemont Ottoman Wooden Bed Frame and spent Christmas sleeping on the floor because what was delivered was so badly damaged it could not be put together. Structural joints created during manufacturing had failed, dowel rods sheared off and poor quality hardware. What appears to be solid Oak is in lots of places nothing more than Oak veneer on MDF. When you see it broken it's very clear what you have actually bought is nothing more than chunky End posts made of MDF. We had replacement parts delivered days apart which were AGAIN damaged in the boxes that appear fine externally. It's about time the retailers of "Oak" furniture actually stated the percentage of solid timber vs MDF.

Jackie Howkins 1 review Published 37 minutes ago NO BED ON VAN Chose the bed, paid for it, told delivery would be 3 - 4 weeks - not a problem. Day of delivery - phone call to say bed would be delivered within half hour, 10 minutes later phone call to say "bed is not on the van". After several phone calls to shop, customer service, someone said that they would ring us back - no one ever rang us back - we kept ringing - just to be told that it was a warehouse problem - after 2 weeks of us ringing and no one getting back to us we went in store and asked for our money back. Staff in shop told us it was all down to the warehouse.

On medical advice (I am praraplegic) I ordered an adjustable bed on 31st December and paid £1800 up front. Should have been delivered on 26th January but bed not put on van (apparently), Had to wait 14 days for that little mistake to be put right, so next delivery date was 9th February, when they arrived at my home only half of the bed was on the van....SO A SECOND FAILED DELIVERY. It is now reported that my bed has been 'lost' at the delivery hub at Magna Park and needs re-ordering. Further back now than when we first ordered, no delivery date given and we are just in limbo. NO ONE SEEMS ABLE TO PROGRESS THIS MATTER....the Manager at Lichfield can't speak to Magna Park, Customer Services can't speak to Magna Park and I can't speak to Magna Park. WHERE IS MY BED? WHERE IS MY £1800? No one can tell us when a bed is going to be delivered, even though Magna Park is a Bensons facility they seem to operate in a bubble and do not co-operate with anyone else. Bensons for Beds is most definitely the worst company I have ever known....AND ALL THE TIME MY LEGS ARE SUFFERING AS A RESULT

No negotiation on delivery time and date despite a £44 charge. Rude delivery men. Took 25minutes to speak to someone in customer care who obviously didn't care about the customers. Terrible company that leave their customers frustrated. Will never shop at Benson for Beds again.

Rude delivery drivers, who clearly don't want to be doing their jobs, and appalling attitude- watch out road users, the current attitude from their teams is "we can block any drive or road for 20 minutes and you can't stop us"...even if you are a mum trying to get out of your own property to do the school run! Arrogant slobs who clearly enjoy way too much cafe time and too little customer care!

It is nigh on impossible to get your call answered within 60 minute horrendous, After our bed sagging after 5 months , 2 engineer visits they finally agreed to replace the bed that they had damaged folding in half to get up the stairs (dont get me started on that Nightmare) Waited in all day for a bed we had been waiting for for 6 weeks and at 4.30 pm got a text message , no explanation to say couldnt make delivery , they then re sent delivery next day without telling me what a joke. Poor quality bed , inefficient call center , Unorganised deliverys , No communication with customers and No Customer Service skills the only thing you will get with this company is a Nightmare forget about a good nights sleep NEVER AGAIN !

We ordered a mattress that was due to be delivered on the 30th January, van arrived no mattress. Couldn't get through to customer services on the phone. We are now 3 weeks later and still no mattress, to say this company are awful is a massive understatement. Sleeping on the floor isn't much fun. Going to try and get a full refund tomorrow having now read everyone else's reviews. Wish me luck! AVOID USING BENSONS FOR BEDS!! TOTAL DISASTER AS A COMPANY
