“Order hasn’t arrived and it’s been 2 months”

“Like so many of the other reviews my order never arrived, no way of contacting the business apart from by email which gets a reply saying case closed and solved. This business has no concern for either their customers or their businesses name. I seriously wonder how they are still in business. I hope for anyone reading this review they are doing so before buying from this company and not after making a purchase that never arrives. Shame there’s no option for 0 stars. I seriously suspect all the 5 star reviews like this company is a scam, Buyer beware,”

“Seriously don't know how these guys are still operating. They don't actually send the book for overseas deliveries and if you write to them to request an update or refund, they just close the case. Do yourself a favour and don't take the risk.”

“I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one after reading all of the negative reviews. This was my first time ordering from Blackwell’s. I live in the heart of the USA and decided to purchase the cheaper international edition textbooks this year. After my purchase, I read the negative reviews of shipping delays and poor customer service, almost driving me to cancel my order. But I continued, even after my credit card company alerted me that my purchase was possibly fraudulent. I am so glad I gave them a chance! Shipping was much faster than I anticipated, actually received my order within a week of ordering - which is faster than most of the shipping services stateside. Book was brand new, as described, and packing was sufficient - plus the price was cheaper than the rest. I literally have zero complaints and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Blackwell‘s again!”

“I received my merchandise in mint condition in about 20 business days. I did receive a response from customer service with an accurate tracking number for my book. I admit it's frustrating not being able to reach a person when your order is running late.”

“First time ordering through Blackwells and I'm still waiting for an order I placed and paid for 6 weeks ago. Can't track the order on the online tracker and they don't reply to emails and are hard to contact. Really disappointed. Reordering the book as it's a now very belated gift through Book Depository.”

“JUST ORDER FROM AMAZON !! Order of 1 book dispatched 9 days ago, still haven't received the delivery. Customer service is terrible and just push the blame to Hermes, my money was paid to Blackwells not Hermes, sort yourselves out, joke of a company.”

“Very slow to dispatch and several days to receive using some cheap service called whistl combined with the worst courier service which is hermes, Item arrived with the clingfilm on book ripped in several areas and part of the foil on the outer scuffed, seems to be no easy returns process either. I don't want to support amazon but i will also refrain from supporting blackwells in the future”

“I tried to cancel an order the day I submitted it. Now I find it’s in the post and the money debited from my account. No activity has shown up on the Blackwells My Account. Website is impossible to use and no telephone contact is accessible. How do I return an unopened, unwanted package?”

“I bought volume 30 of Attack on Titan, it’s the last volume I need and it was on sale. I paid for faster delivery, 2-4 business days. It’s several days past that and no sign of it arriving. I’ve emailed asking after my book, no response. Customer service is terrible. Price is reasonable and the delivery is appalling. Convinced it’s a scam site”

“I wouldn't give them one star if I could. The company needs to review their on line service. It is the worst I've come across. 14days waiting for a notebook AND IT STILL HASN'T ARRIVED YET and I'm live in the UK. Customer service tuck 6 day to reply to my email. Witch didn't help find were my order was Will read review on companies before I use them next time .”

“Purchased a second hand book for over £31.00 plus £2.49 postage on 10th May. Confirmation of payment via PayPal email arrived immediately. Dispatch email arrived next day on 11th May. It's now 30th May and no book! Have tried to contact Blackwells 5 times, even emailed the bookshop in London. I only get automated responses saying check account for updates. My order does not show on the account. I am so upset my book has not arrived, and no customer service whatsoever. Will the book ever arrive.? Should have gone to Amazon...Shame on you Blackwells!”

“Terrible experience!! Avoid if you can. I wanted to support the smaller seller rather than Amazon, but I’m still waiting for the book to arrive almost a month later!! As it was a present for someone, I went back to trusty Amazon and got it delivered the next day. It’s impossible to speak to anyone at Blackwells. You have to send a request, but that gets ignored too. Still in the process of trying to get my money back, but I’m not holding my breath.”
