I will never buy anything from them again. I live in the UK and would expect a much quicker delivery of my order. Not so. Tracking is not possible and the staff are unable to give delivery dates. This company has not bothered to make any improvements despite customers' reviews. I expect the poor delivery issue would be much worse for overseas customers.

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. Don't order from this company if you live outside the UK. The delivery timelines for outside the UK are lies and their helpdesk are just bots who have no power to do anything including check order details - it just spits out the same message each time you make an inquiry. I ordered a book on 5 May for an important meeting on 2 June. Although the money was debited and I received a confirmation email for dispatch the order never showed up in my online account. After 10 days I contacted the help desk to ask about this issue and check the delivery address was correct. At this point I was told to wait for 25 days. It is now 30 May and I have sent another email requesting help and they have told me to wait for another 25 days. I have asked for my money back because I am so disgusted by this service. I am sure I will just receive another email telling me to wait for 25 days.

Blackwell’s provides the worst online ordering service and customer service I have ever encountered. I ordered a $150 book in April. It was despatched May 1. It was shipped without tracking, which I found unusual, particularly given a product of this cost. I understood that the pandemic would likely delay shipment but as of the end of July (4 months!), the book has still not arrived. Along the way, I have contacted Blackwell’s on several occasions - at times with no response and at others with politely dismissive responses requesting that I wait longer (those times when I did receive a response, the response would come about 2 weeks after I had made contact) . My last request was for a refund, which was ignored. I subsequently had to dispute the charge. I would highly recommend against online ordering from Blackwell’s. They clearly do not care about their customers nor about operating in an ethical and professional manner.

Blackwell Books is super dishonest with shipments outside the EU. They are not setup to ship to Canada and do this through DHL who then fleece you with customs fees. They don’t really ship outside the UK despite their website claims. DHL are just as bad as Blackwell which doesn’t help. They then refer you to fine print which should have been obvious upon ordering where they give the impression they can actually ship overseas. avoid Blackwell at all costs, an awful company!!!!

I thought I’d try Blackwells instead of… I thought I’d try Blackwells instead of the default buying from Amazon for a change. Ordered a book online 3 weeks ago and still haven’t received it. I’ve raised two support tickets and no response yet, a week later. The support/ customer help options are very limited, no phone line and no human response to raising a ticket. Frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately this experience leads me to reverting back to Amazon who put customer experience first and foremost. I’m not an Amazon fan and wanted to support other shops. Customers vote with their feet. Listen up Blackwells, shape up or suffer the same fate as many high street retailers.

My order has not arrived and despite contacting customer support this has not been resolved. The whole experience is time consuming and unsatisfactory.

Do not shop with this company, there is no way of contacting them other than email which looks like it goes to a call centre in India. I ordered a book 2 weeks ago for a Christmas present and obviously was concerned. I had to email and was then promised that it would be sorted in 2 days. I wrote to them again this morning and chased up and they advised that the book is not in stock and they will refund me. I have now gone to Amazon and the book will be with me tomorrow. So a few things, obviously the stock control is wrong, you can't speak to anyone and I don't trust that they will refund me. By the way no apologies, just an arrogant company that is living on the fact it has been around for so long - the business model doesn't work and people want to be able to speak to someone, especially when their order is going wrong!!

I ordered a book from Blackwell's -first time- on April 16th. It's now May 20th and still No book. I contacted their "customer service" about it. Got a form letter response 10 days later telling me how hard they work. Poorest , most incompetent service Ever !

My nine year old son ordered the new Anthony Horowitz book via Blackwells online on 8th April. He paid using his own Go Henry card which is a prepaid debit card for kids. He was told delivery would be 2-4 working days but we accept it will be longer in the current circumstances. However, we were not informed until 20th April that the payment had not been successful, meaning they had kept my sons card details for 12 days before processing them. Since the 20th we have sent several emails without a reply and Blackwells are not currently taking phone calls. I appreciate that the current circumstances are making processes etc slower but this is completely unacceptable

Seller never shipped the book but provided a fake tracking number! Then dodged my emails. I had to open a dispute with Amazon to get my money back. Truly terrible.

My experience was downright horrible!!!!! I ordered "How do Japanese women stay young and look young" from them on 8 April 2023. On 13 April 2023 I received an email to say they had despatched the book. Then silence!!!! I emailed them on 28 April 2023 and a malay staff named "Raina Mohamed" replied saying I had to key in my tracking no. I tried to and the reply was "no such transaction". I emailed Raina again to ask her to check. Then she replied to say something stupid like she was checking. It is 3 May 2023 today in Singapore and I have been sending her many reminders. She still did not bother to reply. I told her to refund my money. No reply. Such horrible service. Can anyone advise how do I get my money back???!!!!

I learned a lesson, I screwed out when I purchased a book from this company! I live outside the UK and I am working overseas last March this year. They emailed me once they received the money. 💰 🤑 I screwed out also making the Blackwell's account. 🤣 They don't produce a tracking information or status of the shipment. When I returned to my home country this June, they said I should have reported within 40 days but the excused that it was already three months passed. I no longer expect anything from them, I won't trust online transactions anymore! It would be better buying from the real bookstore and not online. Money doesn't grow on trees nor you 💩🤣🙂 Thank you for your experiences I learned!

Terrible experience!! Avoid if you can. I wanted to support the smaller seller rather than Amazon, but I’m still waiting for the book to arrive almost a month later!! As it was a present for someone, I went back to trusty Amazon and got it delivered the next day. It’s impossible to speak to anyone at Blackwells. You have to send a request, but that gets ignored too. Still in the process of trying to get my money back, but I’m not holding my breath.

Horrible delivery services. My order was supposed to be dispatched after 72 hours but ended up taking 8 days. My friend also ordered from the website and had the same experience, with her parcel arriving almost two weeks later, with one of the books missing. I highly recommend you buy your books elsewhere.

Ordered a book for my daughter weeks ago out of her own money 'captain Tom book' and not received, she's devastated :(. Contacted customer service and nothing no reply..... fraudulent company I think judging by all these reviews. Will be reporting to the correct people.

Wrong book sent in December. Returned item on 28th December and advised Blackwells by email item had been returned as they request. It is now 13th February and despite 3 chaser emails no refund or acknowledgement. Absolutely awful customer service

On the 29th January 2021 I ordered a book from Blackwell.co.uk which was in stock and said to be despatched within 48 hours. I waited patiently till 2nd February 2021 for my book to arrive at my house but it didn't, so I messaged Blackwell's customer service who apologized and said my book had not been dispatched. However just minutes after receiving their apologetic message I received a further email stating my order has now been dispatched - which made it look more likely that they just FORGOT to process my order. It is now 9th February 2021 and my order has still NOT arrived at my house, that's 7 days the order has been in the postal process! I have posted items by Royal Mail 1st Class to Scotland (hundreds of miles away) and they have arrived within 2 days, but Blackwell.co.uk orders can't arrive in 7 days+ and they are located in the SAME country!!! This really shows why more and more people order from Amazon as their stuff arrives quickly and you are fully updated about the order. I will NEVER order from Blackwell.co.uk again and advise others to avoid them too, unless you want to wait ages for an order that may never arrive. An extremely poor service indeed.

I was so nervous before ordering from Blackwells because of all of the negative reviews I saw. I asked a friend who lives in the UK, and she had only positive remarks and encouraged me to go ahead with it. BUT I just got my book only 14 days after it dispatched from the store (and I live in the United States), and it is in perfect condition. I would say communication is not great from customer service, but have faith that your book will arrive. I'm so happy! THANK YOU!
