“Order was seamless. I had no issues. The price was nearly 50% less than Amazon and anywhere else. I was concerned based on the reviews here. I made an account when I checked out (instead of a guest) as someone recommended. Book set came right on time.”

“Purchased Childrens game at an amazingly reduced price ordered on a Wednesday night around 7 pm it was delivered on the Friday lunch time very well packaged (brilliant communication as to delivery time and dates from Evri ) free postage too!! Which surprised me being an reduced item , excellent service from order to delivery will defiantly shop here for further purchases first in the future Thank you”

“I ordered internationally as a guest so there was no tracking available. Seeing all the negative comments i started worrying that i would not receive my book at all or it would take months to get to me. But I received it within 5 weeks. I got the dispatch email 6 days after placing the order. My book came in perfect condition. I would totally buy from them again.”

“After reading these reviews I was so sure the book I ordered would never come that I ordered a second copy of it from a different company… but the book came after just a week, much shorter than the predicted two weeks. It was in perfect condition and significantly cheaper. The book I ordered had been selling out in New York bookstores at twice the price I paid so I was delighted to have such fast service. I’ll be able to return the second copy I ordered from the other company for a full refund so everything worked out.”

“1. A huge delay with my parcel arriving from the UK to Australia - 15/20 days turned into almost 3 months. 2. At first the staff seemed to be unhelpful and were not very interested or too busy to follow up with my concerns to locate my parcel and help me get back into my Blackwells account as the forgotten password process wouldn't work for me. Almost at the three months mark, I panicked after reading some pretty bad reviews on several review websites.... so out of desperation I contacted Blackwell's again via their website, and demanded that someone find out where my parcel was or help with me getting back into my account - I then also phoned Blackwell (Midnight Aus time) and ended up speaking with the lovely kind Val from the Canterbury store, who raised an email for assistance immediately to her colleagues (so grateful). Very quickly after I was contacted by the wonderful Charlie who did everything he could to locate my parcel and help me get into my account... after not being able to find answers he so kindly arranged a refund no questions asked. 3-4 days after the refund, my parcel arrived!! Charlie once again arranged a money request so I could easily pay for my books. Because of Val and Charlie I have changed my opinion of Blackwells and are so very thankful that these two employees were so helpful and nothing was a problem. I probably should have listed to my mother's advice - "just wait, it will turn up" before panicking! So I sincerely thank you Val and Charlie.... you deserve to be recognised for your outstanding customer service in the Blackwells company!!”

“I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one after reading all of the negative reviews. This was my first time ordering from Blackwell’s. I live in the heart of the USA and decided to purchase the cheaper international edition textbooks this year. After my purchase, I read the negative reviews of shipping delays and poor customer service, almost driving me to cancel my order. But I continued, even after my credit card company alerted me that my purchase was possibly fraudulent. I am so glad I gave them a chance! Shipping was much faster than I anticipated, actually received my order within a week of ordering - which is faster than most of the shipping services stateside. Book was brand new, as described, and packing was sufficient - plus the price was cheaper than the rest. I literally have zero complaints and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Blackwell‘s again!”

“Great book buying, packaging was just extraordinary and, if you're patient for delivery in these convoluted days (Blackwell doesn't own it's logistics as Amazon does) you'll likely agree it's prefered to Amazon. I won't take pictures because the care put into packaging is worth the surprise.”

“I have ordered many books over the last year - as i choose free delivery - I don't expect immediate delivery . The book comes within expected time frame . Good choice of books at better than waterstones prices. I have not had a bad experience . I like buying from someone who owns an actual bookshop !”

“I was so nervous before ordering from Blackwells because of all of the negative reviews I saw. I asked a friend who lives in the UK, and she had only positive remarks and encouraged me to go ahead with it. BUT I just got my book only 14 days after it dispatched from the store (and I live in the United States), and it is in perfect condition. I would say communication is not great from customer service, but have faith that your book will arrive. I'm so happy! THANK YOU!”

I always choose free shipping without tracking and allow enough time for overseas delivery. Blackwell’s notifies me when they ship. They’ve arrived on time and in perfect condition. Their communications have always been courteous and professional.”

“I ordered a paperback book of my favourite author, Shari Lapena 'Someone We Know' I received it a few days ago and it was the best book I ever received.
