Loved the course! It was very interesting. The only thing was- it would have been nice to know which questions I got wrong in the quizzes.

This was really helpful. The online lessons and the quizzes at the end of each module helped to prepare me for the test. The hard copy of the manual that was mailed to me was really useful. Also the price point was very reasonable. I am very satisfied with BOATsmart.

Overall this course was good. The one thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that I was charged for the course and my boater card and I still have to pay a state charge. My personal thought to fix this is add a disclaimer and an option to pay for it through the BOATsmart site.

First of all I passed. Now the negative, why does it not show your wrong answers on the quiz. Why must you go through the entire module again even the sections I assume I got right. Very very time consuming and frustrating it's a quiz not a test . The actual test was straight forward. Modules are far too long for example module 2 52 sections that you must redo if you get 3 questions wrong. And that brings me to the type of questions on the QUIZ why try and confuse and trick i repeat its a QUIZ not a test.I would recommend to check out other boat exam websites before committing to this one.

The course was as expected. Some of thetestquestions were so close they required guesses. The reason to take courses like this is to gain knowledge and confidence, some of the answers did neither. Overall a good course but should be geared towards maximum confidence building instead of toward non-confidence.

I thought course was well organized and content well explained. Was easy to navigate the course and dashboard indicated your progress clearly. Will recommend !

Without knowing which questions you got wrong on the quiz you had no idea what you should review before taking the actual boating test. I found this incredibly frustrating as I wanted to do as well as possible.

It was a very in-depth course. I found it more difficult than expected but happy to be able to educate myself on boat safety.

As it's a license for life, it's well worth the investment in time. The site was easy to use. The procedures were intuitive , making the process as seamless as can be. Well done!

Very in depth. I've been recreational boating since 1969 however mostly just in one area so only had to deal with what was local to me. This course is very helpful and I now feel confident with the new knowledge. Gary Auld

The course was very informational. I learned a lot but the reason I did not give it a 5 star is because it is super dry. As well as I had problems with some of the videos and voiceovers not working together or the time remaining on the slide to be longer than the video.

Easy to follow and well laid out chapters. Tons of information - likely more than needed for most pleasure craft operators but then again so many different situations, boat types, water bodies, etc. Be good if a link to a printable guide like the Canadian Aids to Navigation System made available or better yet get complimentary copy or 2 (waterproof) when license comes. Something that could be easily carried on pleasure craft and then referenced as needed. Would improve knowledge retention, promote discussion at times and improve safety,

Very thorough and detailed. Would like to have known incorrect answers to better understand.

My only feedback is that during the module tests, if you get something wrong, you should know what it was. Otherwise, you can’t correct your erroneous belief. And whatever it was you didn’t know, you still don’t know!

The content was decent but made longer than should be necessary. The big problem with that os that the time allotted per session was often much longer than required to read and understand. Often the video would finish and restart well before you were allowed to move to next session. Very annoying due to how often that happened. Also on the technical side, I had to re-login several times even though I was actively following the course. When this happened I would have to redo the section I just completed. Finally, I was interested in which question I had wrong but couldn't quickly find a way to see what was wrong. That is very important to ensure there are no misunderstandings.
