“I would say boatsmart Halle pretty well for me to get my boaters license. The only thing I didn't like is that they might explain something about being a stay on boat or a give way boat twice. They might say if you see a red light of a boat from your left, you are the give way boat. If you see a green light from your starboard side, you are the stand on boat. They would say this twice if you are heading up steam or down stream. Other than that was really well done. The videos had clear audio and great representations:)”

“I was pleased to see how involved it was as there are too many poor and inconsiderate boaters on the water. Maybe they obtained their licence a long time ago, prior to the new requirements and new applicants are better educated. I did feel it a good idea to be informed on questions that were correct and the ones that were not on the quiz. passing the quiz is great but which ones did I get wrong??”

“Very precise information....however the content is way to much and it takes 14-15 hours to absorb all the content ... This course should be marked as of 15 hours of study material”

“Good course. It can take a longer than 3 hours though to do the online course. The course is made up of 7 modules with a 10 question quiz after each module. You cannot skip ahead if you are a faster reader than the narrator speaks. You have to click "Next" after each little video. Also, if you fail a quiz after a module, you have to repeat the whole module before you can move onto the next one. There are several modules that are 30 -45 minutes in length. That adds up and before you know it, the course can take you 4 or more hours. Make notes as you go along so you can refer back to them when taking the quiz”

“Overall the course was good, and definitely covered the material needed, as well as additional material which was not expected. The only issue that would make it better, would being able to see what questions were correct or incorrect on the quizzes after each modular.”

“Boatsmart made me happy by making me learn lots of things, and it made me proud to say that I had my boaters licence. But I also had an issue with the fact that if you failed a module you had to watch EVERY video again! For example: I failed module two (with 52 videos), and had to watch every video again because I got one question under the limit to pass. Also, they don't tell you what you got wrong so you can really focus on the videos that you need to for next time. But overall, worth the time, lots of information learned, and glad I can now boat with confidence. -Jack Turner (Age 10)”

“Boat smart made the course easy. Would give 5 stars except I speed read and FORCING you to take a certain amount of time per section is silly. I could have finished the course in half the time. I found that frustrating.”

“Very easy to understand,specially with the videos,the only thing I would have liked is to know which ones i did wrong,i passed with 88% but there's no way of knowing the wrong ones,If so much enfasis is on security,i think it would be nice to know the ones we(i) answered wrong. It's just a suggestion Besides that very instructive,thanks for the help”

“It was convenient to do the test at home. However, some of the multiple choice questions were worded in such a way as to trick you. When 2 of the 4 answers are almost identical it tests your knowledge of English not boating”
