The mechanics of taking the course worked flawlessly. I was able to progress exactly at the speed I wanted ( except, of course, the time need to spend on each page imposed by TC.) taking breaks and returning with no hiccups. The course material was well organized, served in bite size chunks and presented well. I particularity liked the animations presented to augment the text/audio. An enjoyable online experience

I learned a lot by taking the course. I can now go out and be confident about the laws , rules , safety and regulations.

Well I was very frustrated bc of the course. It was very time consuming. The final exam was great! Even better when you pass! Thank you

I find you can review the content in most lessons much, much quicker than the the time they allocate to it which makes the course take a lot longer than it needs to be since you can't move on before the timer's up. You spend a lot of time just watching a timer waiting for it to expire so you can move on. Set aside some time for this... it's definitely not quick.

Lots of good information but some quizzes after the modules were asking questions that.

I found the course to be straight forward and consise. It presented all the information in needed and valuable tips. The only suggestion I have is that after taking a quite after the modules it would show you which ones you got wrong and the correct answers to insure that you will know them for the future.

Great source of info. All the quizzes were fair and a bit challenging. Recommend this for all new boaters,

I like the animated videos! I wish it would tell me after the quiz which questions I got wrong. I passed, first try, but I'm curious to know! There were quite a few questions that felt like it was a toss up between two answers.

Very easy to follow. One complaint,,,,the questions were so faint I could hardly read them. You might want to improve on this one point.

Very straight forward course. I enjoyed getting to resume the modules where I left off.

My issue is not being told what question(s) I had wrong on the quiz test at the end of each module. Not being able to correct the error would likely mean I would make the same mistake on the exam. Correcting it and learning from it would be beneficial not only in my final grade on the exam but more importantly out on the water. I finally decided just to do the final exam and did it in record time guessing at some questions. I have both a college diploma and a university degree and have never been denied knowing what questions I had wrong so I could improve myself. In college I graduated top of my class as I was able to correct mistakes before the final exam. Let's just say I passed this exam but certainly was not my usual A+ grade. I called and asked and was told there was no way to find out what question(s) was wrong and to just redo the entire module. Not happy but I can go boating now despite not being as skilled as I would like to be as I have no way of knowing what I need to improve on.

Hi Catharine - thanks for the feedback. Since there is a finite number of test questions and the test is open book and unsupervised - Transport Canada and NASBLA regulate that the answers not be shown. This is one of the check and balances put into place to maintain the integrity of online testing. As boaters too, we understand the feedback and are working with regulators to try and improve the process within the confines of online testing. Thanks for sticking with it and safe boating this summer!

Over all it was a good course. The info was easy to follow, not to much, not to little.

After purchasing the book and the pre-paid online test, it was not clear that the online modules were mandatory. After taking several hours to read and study the textbook I was ready to write my test. Going online I thought I would be good to go, but then I realized it was mandatory to redo all the modules. So receiving my licence took twice as long as I thought it would be and that was a negative experience.

Great module based learning. Only negative was the final exam and the fact it didn't seem to be very "mobile" friendly. The text was fairly and not 100% responsive when selecting the mutiple choice.
