“The modules were very thorough and interesting. I am really glad I did the course. My 12 year old niece (who scored 100% on the final test) will be sailing with my husband and me later this summer. She noted that in all the pictures and videos there were no female captains or pilots - all the females shown were "second bananas". She thinks that needs to be rectified. Other than that she really enjoyed the course too and feels she learned a lot. Having completed the course will make us both feel much more confident on our sailboat boat this summer.”

“I like that both smart kept track of my progress because I took my time and picked it up here and there when I could. It would have been nice to have a refresher or practice quiz available before the main exam Because I was a little rusty on some of these units done months before. As it is I had to look up a competitors practice Exam to refresh myself before taking it. I would also like to see some sort of reading time options. I’m a fairly fast reader and it was very annoying to have to sit and wait for Extra-minutes when I finish the page because my time wasn’t up yet. That’s why I stretch this out over the course of a couple of years because I bothered to wait For each page it...really annoyed me.”

“It was a comprehensive program, but some of the videos lessons could be better organized or condensed. It also reviewed common safety information throughout the modules.”

“If you fail a quiz you should be able to just retake it instead of redoing the whole module again. Other then that great course.”

“It didn't Your website needs work It hangs up too much. It does not interface easily. There is no review section after each quiz to let you know where you have been incorrect. There are questions on the government exam that aren't covered in the training. The training is not seamless i.e. the topics and the arrangement of them are out of sync with the quiz questions. More to the point, when talking rules and regulations , the training material is not precise enough. That being said, it was good enough to qualify me for my PCOC. Summary: Your course has potential to be outstanding but currently I would consider the delivery mediocre.”

“Content of course was suitable to all and provided video, audio and written to meet different learning styles. I recommend feedback following the exam in regards to incorrect answers to ensure boaters have the right information. I would also recommend reviewing the order of components within modules as some summarized information that overlapped other components.”

“It got me licensed. However i felt alot of those lessons to be very repetitive, even the quizes. Asked the same question twice. Very thorough course. I feel like i could drive a commercial fishing boat. Thanks BOATsmart.”
