“Course was a bit too slow for us fast readers. Also a couple of errors. On one of the last summary pages you have CO2 poisoning instead of CO poisoning. I can’t remember the other error but it was confusing. Perhaps review all pages for accuracy.”

“The software is somewhat clunky. It requires 2 clicks to begin each lesson. There are instances where the time allotted to take the lesson is longer than the spoken lesson (e.g., the "Flares" lesson finished with 1:40 minutes remaining where nothing was said...this is annoying. There are other instances of this happening: "check oil level" time was too long; "Leaving the dock"....time allotted is also too long. "Fueling a boat"....the on screen text is different than the spoken text. In the section on "Carbon monoxide", the Figure shows the incorrect CO2 instead of CO. Lastly, I have a coupon from the BOATsmart study guide (Online Discount CODE BS616) but I did not see where i could enter this information. I would appreciate if you could refund me this amount. Otherwise, the course is well done.”

“Some of the modules are a little lengthy, which makes it hard to remember most of the content. It would be nice if the your quiz scores went towards your final score.”

“Pros-Information was clear -voice recordings and videos were very beneficial and made it a lot less of a chore to finish the course. -illustrations were clear and helpful -system remembered course progress Cons - music played during videos was way too loud and VERY distracting. It was not calming but irritating, it made it hard to focus and sometimes I had to rewatch the videos just to hear what was said.”

“Some of the final exam questions don’t seem to come from the course. I got 6 questions wrong but because of being surprised by the questions, I’d like to know what I got wrong. Luckily I read the book which seems to be more comprehensive and more of a source of exam questions.”

“About 10% of the videos had no audio yet said they were audio enabled. Happened several times I logged in, not intermittently. Some pages had the exact same thing as the last page?? Some of the question, really, on the quizzes were wrong or not covered. Ex: Lesson said 9% of boating accidents were caused by faulty equipment or failure. On the quizzes, the only choice was 8%. Otherwise it was a good course and easy to use.”

“The content is good as well as the delivery. The modules prepared me for the final test. I DO believe that a way to improve would be to let people know the questions that were answered incorrectly on the module quizzes. That would have let me know what I didn’t know so I could be better prepared.”
