“The course was comprehensive. I would recommend that anyone operating a boat take the time to go through it. I would have appreciated knowing which questions I answered incorrectly and what the correct answers were, instead of just being given a score.”

“The course was good but some information wasn’t useful to me like the information when boating on the sea I would never do that. My suggestion to this is to have two different courses one being for Ocean and sea boating and the other for lakes and rivers and for fishing boats.”

“Not impressed with format! I used hard copy study book to learn and prepare to write exam. Then find out that I can’t write the exam online without completing your entire on line course as well! Angry is a polite word for my reaction! Then, I can’t go through all the lessons at any pace but yours! Not impressed at all! But the content was great, easy to understand and informative”

“Extremely informative, been driving a boat for years, I knew a lot of the material but never knew who had right of way on the water, but didn't how or why they made these rules, like lighting, opposites attract! Took me 3.5 hours to go through the whole course but well worth it, good graphics, video and narration. With the way things are always changing I don't think a boat license should be for live, maybe just 10 years.”

“Very helpful and was interesting. But the length and if you failed would have to do it over again did not like that or it didn't give you your wrong answer. Some of the videos were covered twice. Really needs to to be shorter !”

“The class was well put together and equipped me for the exam. It was easy to follow and complete. The biggest frustration was the timer for each video which didn’t always match the video. Many times I had to wait 10-50 seconds after the video was complete to move to the next lesson.”

“There was some good and mandatory information and I like that I could do it online. However, I found that information was repeated numerous time unnecessarily, thus causing the course to be at least twice as long as required. In addition, the modules are too long. Lastly, it would be beneficial to identify the right answers to questions answered incorrectly after taking the quizzes.”

“It takes time to do but it’s eventually worth every penny. My main advice is not to worry about time on the final test I finished with 30 min left and got a 96”

“All you need to be well prepared. Little downside is that it takes a lot of time, more than 2 failed questions per module means the entire module all over again. It is best done all at once with the test right after. Plan for 4-5hrs and get rid of it!”

“The course itself is excellent. But the time limit is just plain stupidity. There is no reason for the time limit. I got very frustrated and it ended up taking me longer to do then it should have because I kept coming back and doing only small amounts at a time because I couldn't sit and wait forever for the stupid time.”
