“I only have requirements for a licence for smallbut felt lakes. An extra level for sea or ocean access could be granted for those that require that level. I have aquired testing in something I willl never use (and if requied will probly forget ). I was raised by a very safe dad and uncle and new all the common sense rules of operating a safe boat, but felt the test was more geared towards people on the open seas and did did not advantgage a small lake operator.”

“I enjoyed the course format very much. For me, I found it very helpful to listen to the information and then read it below if I was unsure of something. The one thing I did not like and found a hinderance was the fact that you are not told what questions you answered wrong.......how do you expect us to learn the correct answers if we don’t know which ones we answered wrong. Does not make any sense at all! Why can you not write that into the program??”

“Bought the book at Canadian Tire, hoping to write the test quickly after reading the book. Had to listen to someone read the book to me (poor quality recording) before I could take the test... The videos weren't matched to the timer and I couldn't move on until the timer finished. The videos would play again immediately after finishing which became confusing sometimes (watching videos again!!). Don't know if that was just problems with my system and theirs? Otherwise, informative and convenient.”

“Although I thought the quality of the content was very good, I was in disbelief of the length of time and studying I had to do to achieve this, all for a 2 hour boat ride. It was absolutely GRUELING. It literally took me 2 weeks to complete, in between my busy schedule. My Sister was visiting from New Brunswick and I just wanted to take her on a simple little boat ride, with no intention's of owning my own vessel. I was in tears over the amount of time and studying I had to endure. Oh well, at least I have it for life now. God only knows of the next time I will ever need it again.”
