Much more comprehensive than I expected, but I'm thankful for the level of safety and awareness it provided. There is so much I did not know or think about when it came to boating. I'm feeling confident to begin boating with my family.

The system is very clunky and you need to redo the entire section if you fail the quiz when you clearly know what needs further review. Some of the videos didn't load either without refresh. Finally the questions on the final exam did line up very well woth. The course material.

Questions were all pertinent and well worded. A bit long but if I had never operated a boat before then the things included in the test would go a long way in providing the necessary information to a novice.

I prepared using the textbook (which really helped me) as I was not in front of a computer. The material is very straight forward; a lot of the pictures and organization is well put together. Great Job on your team for their efforts. Cheers, Maurizio

Very nicely arranged and informative course. Interesting and varied delivery of the required information.

The coarse was good but I think the lesson time needs to be re adjusted. I found myself waiting to go to the next lesson for a lot of them

The BOATsmart course was very informative and easy to get through. The illustrations and quizzes really helped to ensure you grasped all of the course content after each module. Definitely worth the time to make sure you’re a responsible boater.

I found the user experience poorly designed. The illustrations were often more confusing than helpful. The narration too monotone. There were discrepancies in terminology between course content and quizzes/exam, not to mention editing and grammatical errors. A complete revision of content is needed to ensure consistency and accuracy.

The test questions should be related more to safety and driving knowledge. There were many questions in Emma's exam that would not be as relevant to information needed to actually drive a boat.

It was easy to follow and gave me the information I needed to ace my final exam.

Systematic, easy to follow modules. Well-laid out reference book. My husband and I felt well-prepared for the exam, which we both passed with flying colours.

It was way too long. Also questions from the quizzes focused on way different things than the final test.

The shortness of it all was nice.

I have mixed feedback. The videos were very well done and explained the topic, but having a timer so that you must remain on that chapter was very annoying. I can understand that the objective is to ensure the person taking the program has enough time to absorb the topic, but some of the chapters are very simple and I feel it would have been enough to allow the viewer to simply click next to the see the next chapter, especially for topics that are common sense like drinking alcohol. Each module quiz was very useful, and covered all the main topics that should have been learned in that module. However, I found some questions in the final exam were not discussed in any of the training modules. Perhaps this is a technique that the government exam uses, to throw in some questions that might be more common sense, rather than something that is "in the book", but this goes to the point about forcing each video to be watched on a timer might not be effective. Overall, this training was worth taking and I did learn about boating and was able to successfully pass the exam on my first take.
