“I think that the content of the course was presented in an interesting way. One thing that can be improved on would be allowing the student to review the quiz answers after completion. This way you could figure out which questions you got wrong and know what the correct answer is.”

Hi Reuben - thanks for taking time to leave feedback. Since there are a finite number of test questions and the test is open book and unsupervised - Transport Canada and NASBLA regulate that the answers not be shown. This is one of the check and balances put into place to maintain the integrity of online testing. As boaters too, we understand the feedback and are working with regulators to try and improve the process within the confines of online testing. Thanks for sticking with it and safe boating!

“Some slides's countdown clock was longer than the length of the videos. They should be synchronized so that the users don't have to wait around in idle after the video is finished.”

“I sat down, reviewed the material and wrote the test, comprehensive, informative, detailed and easy to follow. Quizzes were helpful and I felt prepared when I completed the test”

“I felt that the content was beyond my expectations. I went in thinking there wasn’t a lot to learn about boating, but this training went beyond boating in a small fresh water lake. I feel prepared to boat in any type of water, anywhere, very comfortably now. I highly recommend this training for the safety of yourself and fellow boaters.”

“it is a thorough course for beginners - HOWEVER - it took over 3 hours to navigate and it was an unfair waste of my precious time. I read the book off line and I did NOT need to wait through the timer-based pages. Even if I had never read the book, the amount of time allowed on the website was double what was needed to read and comprehend those pages - it is NOT right to make people invest so much time if they comprehend and can pass this test without waiting for this timer to count down. This was a big disappointment. I wrote the test and passed in just a few minutes and you must have an option for people to do this! Don't waste people's time.”

Thanks for taking time to leave feedback Andrea! We understand the test can take a while for some students, but the time requirements and quizzes are required by Transport Canada and NASBLA to ensure students of all reading levels are able to fully understand all content. The timed requirements are the same across all course providers, and we find many students prefer the convenience of completing the course from the comfort of home, rather than in a classroom setting. “Good videos - also like text at bottom. Timing was off on many videos....ie video ended and timer was still counting down preventing me from advancing to next chapter - very annoying.”

“Hi guys! Your cours is pretty good and well animated. Some videos comes in bad quality(can't see anything). Exam time is good enough for the peoples used English as original language. But if your English isn't good it's not enough. All over is ok. Best regards, Vitaly”

“It is a well organized, thoughtfully presented course that logically moves you through the necessary rules, regulations and situations pertinent to safe boating. The modules are logically setup and presented with appropriate graphics to ensure the message is learned. The review and questions reinforce the subject matter fully and the seriousness of the lessons is emphasized repeatedly. All in All and very good course for all pleasure craft enthusiasts.”
