It was straightforward with good support services. I didn't like the timed slides especially if you know the information already, it was time consuming to wait for the time to expire to advance to the next slide.

Wish there was an option for going straight to the test if you manually read the course book. Annoyed at how long it took to go through each module online and not knowing which questions I got wrong.

Very comprehensive and the graphics helped with some concepts. I had trouble with the screen and had to scroll up and down to see everything (using Microsoft Edge browser) and the timer often ran slow so I had to listen to things part way through again before I could move ahead. I also found the narrators voice a little too soothing as I nearly fell asleep a few times. Overall a good course though.

I wish there was less info about large vessels a little useless for people who just want to fish or ride seadoo, the laws rules and regulations were great, learned lots! Thanks

A person with the PCOC will likely obey the boating rules and behave responsibly on the water, which will lead to less accidents and increased safety of everybody.

BOATsmart! has a great online course for boater safety and certification. It is interactive and clear about what is being taught. The videos are also very helpful. I would recommend this course to a friend.

Format was good in modules, did prepare u for the test. Was lengthy and at times redundant. Also, no way to review what u got wrong in the quizzes....this would have been helpful...great if passed...but what did I get wrong? My husband and I did the course together and he wrote his test- even though I had done the modules there was no way for me to directly go to the test. I had to watch for another 4 Hours.

Good coverage of the info. Chapter 2 was very long... may want to separate it into two.

Took several hours to complete, practice quizzes were helpful, passed the final test easily on the first try. Mildly annoying things: being forced by the lesson timer to wait, after the video lesson had finished, before going on to the next lesson, because the timer was not synced to the length of lessons. Also, for lessons where there was no video (just audio or read it without audio) the audio sometimes stopped working and the timer required much more time than was actually needed to read the material.
