“The information was helpful and I understand the need for the course, however, the depth and amount of information I found to be a lot for an occasional, leisure small lake boater. I think there should be levels of boater and PWC lessons and licenses for the area and type of boating/PWC'ing one might be doing. I'm not sure if BOATsmart is able to make these changes or if it's the policy makers, but I think varying degrees and levels of licenses would be more helpful and user friendly, again depending on needs.”

“I enjoyed the illustrations and videos and thought that they broke up the course well. I would suggest a change of voice throughout to reduce monotony. The timing of the videos did not match the actual videos, which prevented one from moving to the next lesson/frame and elongated the length of the course unnecessarily. Also, an option to move forward and challenge the quiz would have been welcomed. In the event of, for instance, a spouse taking the test and having gone through the course already with the other partner. In that case it would have been very nice to challenge the test and save a lot of time repeating that which is already known. Overall, a lot of information, well presented.”

“the video's are very time consuming to click on each one and you have to scroll the page to click on the videos there not in the same position each time. I found the course pages very clunky and not streamline at all.”

“The course seems like it takes an eternity if you do it all in one sitting, but other than that it was fine. I liked the option of audio reading and or watching a video. Overall, a pretty slick and painless experience. Very cheap too compared to other websites. Would recommend to someone looking to take a boating education class.”

“The material is excellent and easy to understand. There's a timer to ensure that you don't just click through it super fast, which is convenient but didn't line up with the video lengths. Apart from the timer issues, I really enjoyed it, I learned a lot.”

“It is an overload of so much information that I will never need to use. The modules are so long and then the quizzes have so many questions that are just worded to trick you up or they are situations that are not applicable to most boaters out there. Most of this was a complete waste of my time and effort.”

“Overall it is a great course. I can either read the material or listen to it which is nice. However the course is more guided for bigger waterways like oceans and Great Lakes. It may not be the best suited course for those in the prairies where he have smaller lakes and lots of rivers”

“I bought three person one price was great. But my son messed up on his email for his and now we Can't fix it so I need a call for you. Thank other then that is was a good coarse but I had already been through the book so I would rather have had the opposition to go right to the exam rather then spend three hour going through it all over again.”
