“Some parts a little slow and patronizing. Eg. I think most humans know where to find a local weather forecast. Also, in the trip planning section, the woman's build and bikini are quite gratuitous. Swimwear, sure. But tiny bikini and anime-style breasts were a bit much. I guess you have to keep the attention of young boating men...”

“I found the BOATsmart course informative and educational and I am glad that I completed it, even though it's not required in my home state. Even though I have boated for nearly 60 years and am a former member of the CG auxiliary, I did learn a few thing and found very few practices and procedures that contracted what I learned over the years. There is a very common sense approach to this class and a logical presentation of the information. The quizzes and final exam are strait forward and relate directly to the information presented. I also appreciate the lack of double negative statements in the questions. Time to hit the water!”

“I thought that overall the course was pretty good. It was super simple to follow and to learn from. However, all the practice tests are much simpler than the actual exam.”

“quite good content , my only complaint was I was unable to skip over and through areas I already knew., so I needed much more time than necessary.”

“The content was easy to follow and I enjoyed the self paced aspect of the program. My feedback is that the characters are predominately white male. The boat purchase was sold and bought between two white males. The rescuers and drivers where also mostly white. It would be nice to see some diversity as we live in such a society rich with multi cultures.”

“I didn’t like that you had page through the whole module again if you missed the 80% by a small margin. There should be more than one attempt allowed to write the end of module quiz”

“Well, I'm 74. Grade 10 education. Had a great working career and some boating experience over the years. Always conscience of others on the water but, that course wat VERY difficult for me. Couple of tries on some modules but, made it. VERY difficult. I thought a bit over the top, not going to be sailing an Ocean Freighter on the Great Lakes. Also, I think you should separate boaters exams from those who 'Fly' on the lakes in these Sea Doo Rockets...IDIOTS!”

“The course is thorough in all important aspects of boating. My only comment is that in some instances it appears repetitive but, I think that is likely because applicants of all ages are taking the course. The online support was great...I'm happy to have completed the course successfully. I would recommend it to anyone interested in boating!”

“Content of course was very informative. However, the course states it only takes three hours to get through the 7 modules. It took much longer than that! It was closer to 7 hours by the time you take the quizzes and get through the modules...”
