“I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of information that was provided during the Boat Smart training. The videos showed each step that was being covered and the explanation after explained step by step. I’m happy that I took the Bostsmart training and I recommend it for everyone. Even if you are only going to be a passenger on the boat, the safety information could save your life!”

“I really learned a lot and I felt the material was explained well. I did notice one discrepancy though, in the course a diver down flag was said to be red and white and in the final exam a diver down flag was blue and white. Other than that everything was great to follow!”

“The overall program is good. The content is quite comprehensive, easy to understand, and relevant to all pleasure craft operators. There are a few things that would make it better. 1 - there were several times where the video just showed a black screen. There was guidance to open the video in another window, but that's really just an irritant. It would also be good if you could get more information on the questions that you did not correctly answer. Naturally all people taking the course want to make sure they know what they need to know, even if they surpass the minimum threshold. So - help them hone in on the areas they missed, without going back through the whole module.”

“It was a good way to prepare for the final test. I would however change the program to not make the person have to repeat the whole section if they fail the quiz.”

“Taught me what I needed to know but I felt like some of the lessons were kind of backwards. I had some questions about what something was that were later on explained but I would have preferred to have them explained first then told what the rules or laws are”

“I think that the person taking the course should have the option of watching all of the videos before taking the test. I read the whole book beforehand so the three hours of videos were not needed in my case. However, the information is important for everyone to know.”

“Excellent course. Content was well laid out. Some early quiz questions related to matter in a later section. Production-wise, the audio links need some tidying up. Could occasionally hear the narrator say "end". A few sections were short but you need to wait for over a minute before you could proceed.”

“This was a most exceptional course. That content was provided as audio video or text made it accessible to all learning styles. The only criticism is the wrong answers on module tests were not shared therefore a missed learning opportunity.”

“The course content was pretty comprehensive. I've got the basics, all I wanted and needed to know about boating and even more. Very satisfied with the module structure, with the opportunity to study at my own pace and with the testing overall. Very happy that I took the course.”

“Material was generally interesting and kept me interested. I noticed that the videos loaded differently and faster on different devices. The flow was ok but sometimes wait time for videos to load was annoying. I know part of this is users' device and connection, but if there is a way to move along videos without having to load a new YouTube file it would help with progress and momentum.”
