“I like the course being mainly video. However, about every 1/2 dozen pages, the screen would just go blank (I use Firefox 55.0.3). I eventually figured out that I could go back to the dashboard, and continue. It would be good if a summary of the information was also available, to use for studying before the official test (I didn't need it, but it would have been nice).”

“Videos were great and all, but some of them were a waste of time, and not being able to skip forward through stuff I know was super frustrating. I mean I do fire extinguisher training every year for work, that alone would have saved be 15 minutes alone. So it took me a lot of extra time. I could have done it in half the time and learned the material way better…”

“I used both the study guide and the online lessons. It was an easy way to learn. It helped me get my PCOC quite quickly. An improvement I suggest....it would be helpful to know which questions I answered incorrectly in the quiz for each chapter. Then I can learn from that.”

“The course had all the information needed to pass the test. I found it very helpful to also use the boatsmart hand manual when studying. The manual not only had more quiz tests but has been a great after exam reference guide. You tend to forget some rules and regulations and this manual is a great reference reminder that is at your fingertips when you need it. An excellent course that I would recommend to anyone operating a pleasure craft.”

“Great content and well organized. I like how you can read the info and/or watch the video. Also very positive and encouraging messages throughout were a cute addition. only thing I would change is the fact you HAVE to wait for the timer to be up on each slide before continuing to the next...I was reading the slides, and went much faster than the time was and could have been done in about half the time which would have been less annoying, especially for how many slides there were. Also, much less annoying if you have to go back and re-do the module if you don't pass the quiz and just need to refresh the information.”
