“A COVID Wedding
Involved are 6 countries, a huge family, a bride, jewels from Boolchandâs and two heroes. It involved many aunties, the brideâs parents, plus me - all of whom have shopped Boolchandâs and, sadly, canât travel to the wedding (COVID) and, very importantly, two gentlemen, Mr. Anil Tourani and Mr. Ashok Dhang, part of the Boolchandâs team, who made everyone, the bride especially, very happy after a bumpy start (not Boolchandâs fault, remember, many aunties).
These men showed deft professionalism, creative thinking on their feet and a very gracious manner when working with me (the âbuyerâ) to get some jewels to the bride - in 5 days - the first choice wasnât going to be possible in that short of time. Bride crushed by disappointment as only a bride can be. I emailed Boolchandâs and Mr Tourani and Mr Dhang went above and beyond, sending photos of options to the bride, keeping me in the loop and as a choice was made, arranged for an immediate pickup in-store. I paid online, an easy and smooth process and we were one. Last night, the bride met Mr Dhang at the shop in Sint Maarten on Front Street. She will wear sapphires and diamonds on Saturday morning, with, as she said âjoy and smiles.â Mr Dhang even had the special grace to put a call through to me when the bride arrived to pick up her treasured giftâŚhow very kind of him - a few tears shed and many, many happy aunties in many countries went into the night with contentment.
