“In the course of restoring a 1979 Suzuki GS850 I needed four new brake hoses (3 front, 1 rear). They have lone since been out of production from Suzuki. After too much time spent searching the web for alternative sources of OEM style hoses I came to the realization that modern braided-over-teflon was going to be the only practical solution. I wanted to keep the appearance of the original hoses and not install some shiny new stainless steel ones. Brakecrafters offered a "classic black" look with chrome fittings on the ends. Unfortunately, they didn't list a set for my specific bike. Although the 850 is essentially no different from Suzuki's other larger bikes from that period, Brakecrafters didn't want to assume lines from other displacement bikes would fit. They suggested I send them my existing hoses and they'd duplicate them. I was a bit apprehensive about sending my original hoses from New England to a company in the midwest but took the chance anyway. I'm glad I did. They reproduced my hoses perfectly and had both my old and new ones on their way back to me in a matter of days. The fit was perfect and the appearance just what I was looking for. These aren't the cheapest brake hoses I could find but in this case quality matters. So if you're looking for high quality replacement parts, look no further.”
