“I am not super satisfied with Brightside. I am happy that I was able to quickly get a provider, however the online site is confusing and hard to navigate. I often have trouble figuring out how to message my provider quickly. The online check-ins are frustrating in that they score you in how you rate on a depression and anxiety scale, which sometimes labels you are "minimally depressed/anxious"- which is not necessarily accurate. Simply because my medication is helping my symptoms does not mean I am "minimally" mentally ill. This rating process comes off as minimizing my experience. Additionally, several times my provider has taken more than 72 hours to respond to me, and I have gone without getting a refill on my prescription, leaving me with withdrawal side effects. For $95 dollars a month, all of these inconveniences are frustrating, especially when there are many sites out there who provide the same type of service as Brightside.”
“The idea is nice, but the response times are so slow and I e been out of my anxiety med for a week because the psychiatrist upped my dose and my insurance needs prior auth which brightside doesn't do. So now I have to go back to my doctor so I can get it refilled. Going on week 2 and I'm miserable. So it's kind of a joke”
“Using Brightside has been so easy & convenient. I feel heard by both providers I work with and seem to have finally found some meds that are helping. I do wish the therapy sessions were closer to an hour like the in-person ones I'm used to. 30 minutes just always seems to go by so fast! I also love the check-in graph where I can see my progress - on days where it feels like I haven't made any it's nice to see a visual representation. Overall I really love Brightside!”
“Is Brightside going to treat me? I requested a med review 5/19/22 and Lissa Goldstein declined to treat me. Im told NOTHING can be done until a supervisor investigates me. Its been 1 week. When will someone tell me if Brightside is refusing to see me or give me a new Provider? I dont know what to do anymore”
“Super happy with my treatment. I feel very comfortable talking with my doctor. He’s kind and patient. I love the check ins. It reminds me to think about myself.”
“What is helpful is that I can access you in a timely fashion. What is not helpful is that I cannot use my state insurance to pay for the services. I rate it a 3 or 2.5, because the financial barriers to accessing services makes it not a sustainable long term solution for me. So it ends up being inadequate care.”
