“My previous therapist wasn’t very professional. He took most of our video call appointments on his cell phone in his car which made me uncomfortable. My current therapist LaTreece Ross is awesome and has been very engaged in our conversations, I feel like I’ll be able to make real progress with her the more we work together. If the rating was just for her I would have selected ‘very good’ but since I factored in the poor experience with my prior therapist it brought Brightside score down to just ‘good’.”
“I have had trouble connecting with the doctor. But the meetings with Dawn are going exceptionally well. She is very supportive and informative. I like her a lot and respect her opinion. I find myself looking forward to our sessions. However, I have trouble connecting with the psychiatrist due to my poor computer skills. For instance, I didn't notice my mic was not on and missed an appointment because I couldn't connect with him. I have rescheduled and I apologize.”
“The technology problems are a big issue. Sometimes we can't meet because either the audio or video or both fail to work. Extremely frustrating!!! The doctors are great though. Customer service is slow in acting and have a tendency to not answer the questions I'm asking.”
“It’s still pretty new. My main goal was not to be tried on multiple medications and put my family through those ups and downs and already I’m on the second medication. So there’s that.”
“It’s generally good. It was problematic when my score triggered a demand for me to have an appointment which my provider agreed I didn’t need, but I kept getting emails and texts to make the appointment. My provider called “support” but the messages kept coming. I wrote to support and didn’t get a response. By that time it was the weekend and no one would answer the phone. I thinkk I got persistent messages for 3-4 days and it was upsetting.
I was thinking if this continues to be a problem, I might have to change my scores so they won’t trigger this, but then it’s not accurate. I suggest you make a way for the providers to turn off these messages if they deem appropriate.”
“4/5
It’s very easy to use and schedule. I love the digital lessons. Sometimes my schedule is too hectic to commit to a therapy session every week so I would prefer a “slower” pace at times. Some sessions I feel are too structured around curing my anxiety using best practices for when anxiety hits.
Alternatively, i think it would be beneficial for my therapist to understand where my anxiety stems from, and id like to talk about those struggles, instead, to help avoid anxiety all together.”
“I admit I wasn't sure if it would work for me. In the past I simply wasn't listened to, or my insurance wasn't covered. I tried and couldn't keep up with talking to someone about the issues I had. So far Brightside has truly given me a good outcome that has made my daily life easier. I appreciate it so much already.”
“Brightside has been very helpful. Your team has made sure that I have access to my psych provider and my medication. I have not had success with therapy.”
