“I find this a very convenient platform for my mental health and medication management. I really appreciate the candor with my AMHNP. I really liked my personal LCSW at first but felt like that provider had different goals for me and wasn’t listening to me as well as I’d have liked. She’s an excellent counselor, don’t get me wrong. I found it very easy and convenient to “break up” with that therapist and initiate care with another LPC. Have my first appointment with her tomorrow and will see how it goes! Overall, I am pleased with Brightside”
“I’ve been really happy with the ease of using the system and getting access to my medical provider. I’m still assessing how I will continue long term with Brightside. I came as the result of my psychiatrist of close to 20 yrs, retiring. So it will take me a bit to figure out how much talk therapy I’m interested in at this stage.”
“Yes. My therapist tells me I’m number one and I must take better care of myself more. I’m learning to not explode or overreact to situations and breathe and count to 100 or more.”
“My therapist has helped me recognize triggers for depression & anxiety and how to approach my responses. My psychiatrist has changed my medication and that has helped as well. More work needed!”
“Brightside has been extremely helpful - during a very hard time when I was struggling I was able to get care and medication fast to help get out of depression. My therapist is amazing and has really helped me - I am looking forward to continuing talk therapy with her to improve my quality of life. I wasn't pleased with the first pyschiatrist I met with but switched to a new provider and like her better. I was able to get medication quickly which is helping tremendously.”
“I rate Brightside with 4 1/2 stars. It would be 5 stars if the quality of video were enhanced better with Kyrie Conseen, LCSW. There is a lot of lagging, freezing and delayed conversation when Kyrie is talking. This never happens with Kelly Fink, my psychiatric nurse. It's been this way with Kyrie since the beginning but has gotten progressively worse. It is irritating. Can anyone help?”
“I love the app. It’s the first time I’ve been able to stay organized with my own health.
Only suggestion would be maybe add a journaling section. My mind is all over the place and it would be helpful to have a tool like that to log anything that I might want the therapist to know but tend to forget when it gets to the appointment time”
