Set up was easy and well detailed Price has gone up twice in two months. Albeit not fully in bulbs control due to external factors, they could look after new customers by freezing any price increases for the first year! What’s a little bump to their business revenue?

Hi Rich, Thanks for leaving us a review. Unfortunately, we don't offer fixed rate contracts, all our members are on our single variable-rate Vari-Fair tariff. This means that you are automatically on our cheapest tariff. Also, it means that, as this tariff is based off of the true cost of energy on the wholesale market, it can go both up and down. Cheap, but impossible to get hold of and dont offer all advertised services across the whole of the UK. I clicked an ad to join them and get a smart meter, but apparently they dont offer them in cardiff. I changed to a supplier with worse customer service for no reason!

Hi Dean, Thanks for leaving us a review. We’re sorry to put prices up for the second time this year. Wholesale prices have risen to their highest levels since 2018 due to post-lockdown demand, which is why a typical member will now see a slight increase in their billing, paying £1.33 more for their energy a week. Whilst I was happy to switch to Bulb recently, you have put your prices up twice therefore now more expensive than my previous supplier. Not happy

Bought a lot of accounts in at a cheap rate only to then give 28 days notice to increase rates by over 30%

Switching was easy, nice clear and welcoming, good communication, easy to use app. However price quoted to entice you in quadrupled with the first 3 months! even though you made it clear what usage was from last year before switching. Thought too good to be true and it is.

Joke of a company. I joined in February this year and they’ve now raised their prices twice already! As far as I’m aware they’re the only company to have increased TWICE in such quick succession. This time by 6.5% Martin Lewis email this morning says if you’re a bulb customer you’re probably better off moving to a long term fix. I know what I’ll be doing.

Hi Ben, Thanks for leaving us a review. We don’t like increasing our prices, but because our tariff reflects the true cost of energy, we have to change our prices when wholesale energy costs change. After these changes, a typical member will pay £1.33 more for their energy a week. Since we last announced a price rise in March 2021, wholesale costs have still been on the rise. They're now 31% higher than they were in September. This means the cost of supplying energy to our members has increased too. the supply service is ok but i registered for a smart meter and was told they can't do it as we live in a parking permit area and they can't park !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I switched to bulb from eon then all my prices have gone up! I understand inflation but I switched to save money :-( The bulb website said save money based on the information I gave on there website, but I have not saved money… :-( gutted!

This company made loads of promises about being cheap. However, once I was signed up they doubled my direct debit with no notice. This left me in a huge financial mess. When I complained they did nothing to help so I had no option but to leave.

Good comms and seem to have good eco credentials. Unfortunately their prices have gone up twice in the short time we've been with them but I understand this is a national issue so just bad timing.

Very happy with my switch to Bulb. I pay less on my electricity and gas bill than I used to with my previous provider and it is all renewable energy! There is only one tariff so I don't need to worry whether I am on cheaper or pricier tariff. Very happy so far!

As soon as I switched over my charge went up and just gone up again not the best 3 month start they say it’s down to the cost of fuel if so why have they put the daily charge up as well
