“Calumet has always been super fast with it's delivery, and for that I thank them. However I do wish I could receive emails when my items had been dispatched, as receiving no notice sometimes worries me. I once ordered 4 backdrop rolls for a shoot with a tight deadline and 2 had oversold during the process (which is understandable), however I received no email or call telling me they had oversold, and when they would be back in stock. I'm a happy customer that will always return back to Calumet, but I do wish there was a bit more contact through emails.”

“I purchased a few different items at the same time. They were dispatched in 3 different deliveries. The first 2 arrived quickly and in great condition etc. The third delivery however took over a week to arrive even though I was told that they were all in stock.”

“The manager in this branch really knows his stuff and goes out of his way to help in every aspect. This is a big improvement over the previous manager who was never that helpful. I been dealing with this branch for 20 years as a professional photographer.”

“I ordered three items, but only two arrived, with no explanation of why the third was missing. I e-mailed to ask why it hadn't arrived, but received no answer at all. I then rang a week later, and was told that someone would ring me back with a delivery date. No-one rang me, however. I then rang again, a week later, and was told the same thing. Again, no-one rang me. Finally, just as I was going to write a letter of complaint three weeks later, I was contacted and promised delivery, which then duly took place. The item in question was Ilford Hypam Fixer, which is a standard darkroom chemical. I cannot understand why you should have taken well over a month to get this to me, and not let me know during that time what was going on.”

“I phoned Calumet on a Friday afternoon as I wanted to see a Canon 85mm / f1.2 lens, Bristol did not have one in stock but they said they could get one for me to see by the following Tuesday. I was advised that they would phone me as soon as it was in stock, which they did. I saw and purchased the lens on the Tuesday afternoon. Very pleasant and helpful staff who did what they said they would do, great service.”

“I used these for shooting presentation shots of Scale Model Cars - this is the perfect size and is of excellent quality. The Graduation is smooth, once flat produces the perfect results. It's a high matt finish too, so you get no glare or reflection when shooting with hard flash. I will be buying more in the future!”

“Came in store to pick up a pre-ordered item. Asked two staff where to pick up item- neither knew. Told to knock on door of service desk- no answer! Finally helped by a good member of staff who made up for the initial lack of service”

“The lens is a good piece of kit works straight from the box and very easy to use just read the instructions and go and play. i have took some very good photos of birds in flight the stabilisatition is very good and returns a sharp image as you pan following the subject. all in all a good buy at a reasonable cost.”

“Happy that the product was in stock when many other companies did not have it. However, bemused by your credit checking system. I was totally surprised by the request to supply a copy of photo identity and utility bill and e-mail it to the operator dealing with my order. I have never been asked to do this for any credit card transaction. Naturally I declined to send such sensitive data over an unsecure medium as e-mail. I was then also asked to supply my previous address - I have no idea what relevance this was I have not lived there for 12 years and the card I was using was never registered at this address. I checked with my credit card company and was told there was no problem with the order. After three phone calls I said you can choose to fulfil the order or not - I would not be supplying any further details. The operator spoke to a manager - the order was dispatched and I received it next day. There was no problem with payment. I still have no idea what this was all about but have the goods and the delay was only about a day so I am happy. Chris”

“Calumet staff realy know what they are talking about, and have always gone out of there way to help. I bought a memory card that was faulty and the member of staff who served me (Ross) took it home and recovered the lost images for me in his own time and emailed them back to me, what a service, thank you Ross.”
