“I was given good advice in the London store. However, when I visited Calumet in Amsterdam I was treated badly- not taken seriously even though I am a professional photographer who has had eight photobooks published. Thank you, London Calumet staff, for not being dismissive or patronising to women customers! (I avoid the Amsterdam store now).”

“I gave my camera to repair in February 2017. Calumet has estimated the service from 10 to 14 days. I agreed with that. Two days late I got the first e-mail from Calumet asking me again if I agree with the repair cost. I replied to them immediately. 4 weeks later I got another e-mail with an estimate (the same) cost. In April I got a phone call from Calumet asking me the same question. When I told them about delays in their service the gentleman in the phone told me that they missed my e-mail. As a result I got my camera in June. Even though everyone behind the counter is extremely polite, behind the door nobody really cares about delivering you a service you paid for, and that makes me not wanting to come back to that place.”

“Not very accurate photographs of the backdrop I ordered. The item was completely different to the one shown on your site. When also trying to sort out my refund, your staff were not clear on the procedure and I had to wait on the phone on two occasions whilst he sought help on the next steps. I thought this was rather unprofessional for something which should be a common or at least standard procedure.”

“Ordered a Sony SEL35f18 lens late on Thursday night, the lens was delivered to my door on the Monday. As this order spanned the weekend I thought this was very good service. I'm a first time customer but if this is typical I will definitely use them again. The lens box was wrapped in bubble wrap and then the whole placed inside another box, package arrived safe and sound. Very pleased with my purchase.”

“Calumet is a favourite store and the staff always make time and are very knowledgable and helpful. I try to buy everything from you so its very frustrating when you don't have the Canon lenses or currently the cards or the 24 to 105 lens I have on order. Today ,please cancel my order for the 2 cards as I found them on Amazon and if the 24/105 lens doesn't arrive before the 17th its a big problem for me as we start shooting that day. The 180 macro lens was a similar cliffhanger prior to a shoot in Colombia in February A rental won't do it as the shoot is on and off for the whole summer Thanks Michael McKinnon McKinnon Films”

“Calumet is a photographers shop, not a camera shop. everything about it, from the look and feel, the products on display and the staff's approach says that they are used to dealing with pro photographers. I would be happy to listen to and take seriously the advice i am likely to receive in a Calumet store, than a regular camera shop. There is no reason to go anywhere else, in my opinion.”

“My lens was getting replaced. I had to constantly make phone calls to see what was happening. I was told repeatedly by reza and one other that they would call back and never did. Eventually I got a hire one to use but was totally different size and different thread so none of my filters fitted. One main issue was that this lens broke for the second time whilst I was on a workshop in the Faroe Islands. This cost a lot of money and I was left with no way of taking photos. I have no faith in calumet and no faith in Fuji products. Happy to speak and discuss and I will be putting in a full complaint to the chairman of calumet and to Fuji uk. Alex”

“I went to the Birmingham store looking to buy my first camera flash unit, I am a keen amateur and had considered buying online but was unsure whether my older camera was going to be compatible. The sales assistant was welcoming, listened to my needs, matched me with the perfect product, demonstrated its abilities and closed the sale. The whole experience was great, I felt valued as a customer, came away very happy with my purchase and would definitely chose to use the store again.”

“We use the Calumet Background display stand to display The Women's Quilt when we take it around the country to raise awareness of domestic abuse. We needed a simple portable stand which could be carried by one person on public transport if needed. The Calumet stand definitely works for us and we are delighted. I rang Calumet to ask a few questions before deciding to buy and they were very helpful and supportive of the project. Thank you Calumet! (You may find other quilters coming your way!)”
