Purchased Canon 5D Mk III at NEC on V12 agreement. Served by Reece Piper who bent over backwards trying to help set-up my order and showed patience of a saint!! It took ages and was REALLY tricky to arrange but he kept his cool and succeeded. Me too -it took a lot of my time but I was content to persevere with Reece. I haven't figured out how to instigate my Canon double-cashback but will email Canon soon to find out out procedure, which I hope will be straightforward. Please send my comments to Reece or send his email to me: piers@awdry.net Many thanks! Piers

I attended one of Calumet's workshops at their Drummond Street branch. The talk was given by Martin Norris on making a living by submitting images to picture libraries. The event lived up to my expectations (I always enjoy interacting with the sales team on the shop floor) and the day turned out to be a really interesting and enjoyable.

The service I received in store at the Hagley Road, Birmingham Calumet store was excellent. I had a ll of my questions answered in an honest and helpful manner by the young lady who served me. She also took time to ensure that all of the camera package I had purchased was correctly processed and even looked at various special offers without ever being pushy. The shop is nicely layed out with a great opportunity to see and inspect gear up close. I did have a problem with the canon charger which came with my Canon 6D, and so I returned to the store a day later, where I was instantly remembered. After listening carefully to the issues I had she looked to see if there were any replacement chargers. Unfortunately, the store was out of stock for additional Canon chargers, so she very kindly allowed me to have the instore charger that was used for charging Canon batteries for the display cameras in the shop, so we knew that it was tried and tested. I'm pleased to say that the charger worked and on the whole I was very pleased with the service I received and it would encourage me to revisit Calumet again.

The Pro Series Calumet Holster camera bag is probably the nearest thing that I've found for a 'take out' bag (without talking all of my equipment. It fits my Nikon D7000 with a standard or macro lens and has room for a spare battery. The construction is robust and so far its served me well. (I also like the added clip that goes over the zip enclosure.) The only slight niggles that I have are: (i) I'd prefer there to be openings at either end of the zip to allow the camera strap to go through (rather than having to push the strap in the case) & (ii) The case hangs at an odd angle to the body which is good in some situations but annoying in other positions. On the whole I'm happy with this 'take out' bag and would recommend it.

Excellent ruck sack - I can fit my binoculars 8x42, sound recording equipment plus D300s with battery grip plus 80-400mm VR SWM and 105 macro - straps padding could be thicker

A refreshing change with on hand knowledgeable advice from the staff. Helpful service with plenty of products on hand and to try and look at. Defiantly be visiting again when I am looking for more lighting options.

I find the knowledge of the staff to be quite variable - some will listen to the question and provide a sensible answer, others will waffle or simply say they don't know and not try to find out.

The experience with Calmut was a good one. I ordered a flash bracket, L/hand design which was a mistake. I called, order changed & correct item sent with no fuss. The bracket is well made. I had one issue with mounting the flash (Nikon SB910) using cord SC-28. The screw was slightly too long. The bracket came with a mount to attach the flash directly to the mount not with Matter resolved for me by shortening the screw and adding a rubber washer. Ad hoc but workable.
