“Before purchase, Damian spent at least an hour with me, allowing me to try the Nikon D750 and D810 with various lenses. This was wonderful and directed me to the better choice for me, the D750. Purchase was rather more problematic: collecting the D750 + a 24-70 lens (offered at a slight discount as a kit) at Drummond Street seemed to present a few admin problems and at one point I was told on the phone (after a lengthy wait) that my D750 had been allocated to somebody else but they had retrieved it. On collection, expecting to get the promised 6 months interest-free, I discovered that the loan is actually not free - there is an admin fee of at least £25, enough to make the 6 month-deal lass attractive. Another customer had the same reaction as me that day. Jessops use the same V12 Finance company and absorb the fee themselves. But the pre-purchase service was, as I said, absolutely terrific.”

“Very friendly service from the staff as always in Belfast. Happy with the time it took to complete the order through Business Finance and and the goods were ready to pick up in a day or so. Would definitely recommend Calumet.”

“I went to the Calumet Open day in Edinburgh specifically to see the new 7D Mark II. I had an excellent demonstration of the new camera and was able to try it several features. I also had a superb demonstration of a Manfrotto tripod. I decided to have both articles and bought them there and then. The only glitch was that I have the same postcode as an existing customer and on being asked what that was at time of purchase, it resulted in a receipt made out to my next door neighbour of some 3 years back!! I alerted Canon to this and went back to the local branch to get it sorted out. Of course, the contact details were different and I had wondered why I had not been notified of the delivery of my new 7D Mark II. It was all sorted out satisfactorily.”

“Ordered two items - neither high value yet only method of delivery available unnecessarily required a signature. Hugely inconvenient. Only one item delivered on time - other item delayed and when chased found it had incorrectly and unnecessarily been put on back order even though it was in stock.”

“I recently attended and Open Day at Calumet Edgbaston in Birmingham. It was incredibly busy with many manufacturers represented and supplying a fast amount of stock .They and the Calumet staff were so pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely helpful that nothing was too much trouble. I had a problem with a bag I had purchased more than 12 months previously but as soon as I explained what my problem was, I was given a full refund without question! I was more than delighted and promptly purchased a replacement, with guidance and attention to detail from the Lowepro representative I then went on to purchase a new tripod head which the staff actually fitted on to my existing tripod for me. I simply cannot fault Calumet staff or indeed on this occasion those of Nikon or Manfrotto. I use Calumet as my main "go to" store simply because I think they are the best in the region. I cannot recommend them highly enough. MJ”

“What can I say, apart from 'a First-Class' operation throughout?! Was called late Friday to say my new camera body was in and that I could collect it - the next days being Saturday and the following Monday. Sadly unforeseen circumstances meant that, on arrival, a previously arranged exchange could not take place as the store was found to be shut on arrival on Saturday. Subsequent re-opening today (Monday) met great staff who were more than happy to redress my Saturday expenses via payment in kind without quibble. In all cases I've found Calumet Glasgow staff to be highly professional and look forward to calling on their help in future for advice or equipment upgrades! DocD”
