“Pick your calumet branch carefully, Drummond street staff are uninterested and my impression is that they don't care a great deal of about customer service, pretty much the same at the Milton Keynes head office, more so perhaps. Your best bet would be to go to Birmingham branch were staff are knowledgeable and helpful otherwise you'd do better to shop at WEX photographic.”

“I have had the pleasure of dealing with the team at Calumet Glasgow for all of my professional photographic career. I have at no time doubted their advice or guidance. Whether it be guidance or advice you need, either on a technique or an equipment issue, they give their time and experience freely. I would recommend that if you do not already use the services of Calumet Glasgow, you certainly should start now.”

“Good service as usual but really let down by the offer of a free Gorillapod. Was ordering large bag to carry my Canon 5d mkiii and 4 lenses. I Could have had the bag cheaper but thought will go with Calumet as they are offering a free Gorillapod. Was sent a free gorillapod about 10cm long which I don't even think could hold a smart phone - what use could that be to anyone!! The description was probably there somewhere but you would have to look for it! A real swizz and won't be caught out again!!!”

“I came to buy a belt bag similar to one bought from you years ago… in the wrack were the branded ones, very expensive and not right at all, and i mentioned it to the chap at the desk and he found the last one of your make in the cupboard…perfect… and 10.00 instead of 30.00///thanks so much and i hope you continue to do your own stuff..”

“As I was well aware of the items I purchased and their existing reputation I can only comment on the service I had received from Calumet. I was well aware of Calumet and their network of shops, unfortunately their nearest shop is 100 miles away but I had either not heard of their online shop or perhaps forgotten about it. I had a few days earlier purchased these items from another large well known online retailer of photographic goods with the promise of "free" next day delivery. Eagerly awaiting delivery the following so that I could calibrate my equipment I was somewhat dismayed when the items did not arrive, in fact they did not arrive until three days later. I contacted the seller and told him of my annoyance and promptly returned the good. As I had somewhat knackered my existing calibration kit by dropping it and accidentally stepping on it I was stuffed. Enter Calumet, excellent online customer service, delivered one time with personal contact updating the delivery times. Will definitely use from know on”

“I first used Calumet (Manchester) when purchasing my first DSLR, after years of using other "high st" camera and electronics shops and increasingly becoming unimpressed with their salesman, their lack of interest, knowledge and getting the impression all they were interested in was the big sell. My first impression of Calumet was that I would be out of my depth and it was solely a pro shop, however the staff I've dealt with since that first visit have all been extremely helpful and understanding, and I suspect all photographers. So much so I've recently upgraded my equipment and gone down the full frame path and added a couple of new lenses to go with it, and Calumet was the go-to place for these purchases. They always seem to stock at least a couple of choices of whatever equipment I've wanted. Must admit the Manchester branch is very handily situated for me, so when one of my new lenses wasn't in stock there I only had to wait a couple of days before it was available for collection. And their website is number 1 on my bookmarks bar!”
