“I recently purchased a tripod at the Drummond Street store. I came in knowing which tripod I was going to buy because I'd done my research. The very helpful staff member (sorry, can't remember his name) gently suggested I look at other similar models that offered different features and build quality. He set up several so that I could compare like for like. I ended up purchasing a superior tripod from another manufacturer, for only a small increase in price (an increase that was well worth it). Great service, and much appreciated.”

“I have purchased a great deal of equipment from calumet, most of this was delivered on time and in good condition however I did order some studio lights in April 2013 I was told the lights I had ordered were discontinued so would I mind waiting a couple of months for the new line to come in, not a problem I thought , so here we are nine months later. If I had not phoned calumet on a monthly basis I'm sure there would have been no contact from them, In the beginning I was told next month then the next month, a few months in I was up graded to the next model of lights, fair play to calumet on that one, trouble is thats no good to me if I don't have them. So many phone calls later still no lights , no managers to talk to according to the sales team. The last update when I phoned in December was the product was in the warehouse but was being tested due for delivery first two weeks of January. So here we are then calumet no contact no lights whats going on ?”

“My lens was delivered on a friday afternoon in a battered box. The plastic sleeve wrapping the lens was also crumpled and creased – it clearly wasn't factory fresh. The lens itself was full of condensation. Rang to complain straight away and was told the customer services manager would call me back. Two hours later I rang again as I hadn't heard anything. Was once more promised he would call me back. He never did. Weekend closure of customer services meant I couldn't call again until Monday. Initially I'd decided to cancel the replacement order but subsequently changed my mind. I was promised a new lens would be delivered and the old one collected the following day. The original lens was duly collected Tuesday afternoon. However, by 5:00pm there was still no sign of my replacement. I called customer services to chase and was told they'd investigate and call me straight back. Didn't hear anything so called back just after 5.30 only to find out customer services were closed! Overall I think the standard of service has been absolutely appalling. Have wasted an awful lot of time, and probably money given your 0870 telephone number, chasing this issue. I will certainly think twice about ordering anything from Calumet again.”

“With purchases with you, I have found all staff who I have dealt with pleasant, polite, and above all, very knowledgeable with all the products you sell. I get regular emails to let me know of new deals and products available, and also a regular magazine and pamphlet with the same, not forgetting the various courses available to help with my equipment. I did the photographs for a family wedding late last year, and Staff gave me a lot of advice which helped me greatly in the production of many images that resulted in being collated in an album. Thank you so much guys..good to know you're there for all my queries/advice”

“The staff were very knowledgeable about Nikon products. Being able to see the stuff in the flesh rather than just pictures online makes a big difference. I was impressed by the range of stock at the Manchester branch, even the professional equipment that is normally only available to special order.”
